Thanx dadstiac for this. Really appreciate you taking the time & effort to put this together for us. I'm running an 8-ball pool tournament soon so this is definitely gonna help me if I choose to use this system...thanx again!!!
Thanks for this well said explanation. Because of this I did my double elimination format which is the biggest part of our test. Thank you very much. Really Help❤️
Thank you so much! 😊 I was able to understand it easily. I was having a hard time learning the concept. Good thing I saw this in a blog that I was reading. Thank you and God bless you 😇
Thanks for explaining that so well, I play a video game called virtual Pool 4 that uses DE and I have never understood how it worked until I watched your video!
You know what I like about this video? There's no bullshit bias. Wha? What I mean is, that most videos on this are either brackets based on real teams and the person who made the video spews on and on about how much they hate a certain team. Which has NOTHING to do with double elimination brackets. Or it's long and drawn out about EVERY POSSIBLE PERMUTATION that takes forever. This is by far the most concise video on double elimination.
@@nathanmontesclaros7795 A bye is basically an instant win for let's say we have 10 teams, the formula for the bye is P(number of factors of 2 less than the N) - N(Number of teams) so if we have 10 teams it would be 16-10= 6 byes. The teams that will get the bye basically win a round and advance.
Thank you for your time it was very helpful. Can you also use this system for 12 players, if so can you please post a video or reply back to this comment with further instructions Thank you.
Thanks for this. I'm having a 16 person chess tournament. Do you simple just double the bracket for that or would you suggest a separate 8 person bracket?
i think, u cant pair with the same side of enemy, i think you need to cross it to the other side so that they won't face the same enemy.. my sayin.... anyway thanks for the ideas
hi mr. you better show the formula for us for deeper understanding about the tournament. this video is informative but lock ug formula. thanks for this video👍👍👍
I under stand the double elimination bracket. what I don't understand is when someone runs one like this. winners bracket is a race to 4 and the loser bracket is a race to 2. Loser has to beat winner twice. what is the final race .Thanks. Hope you can help.
Super clear. Thank you so much for taking the time to do this.
Short, quick, efficient, clear, understood. Thanks for the info dude.

Very good - thank you so much!
Obviously not Kim, but this was helpful nonetheless. Thank you!
So the formula for determining number of matches is...
[Total entrants × 1.5] + 1 (possibly 2)
...assuming no ties/draws.
this was very insightful as this being ny 1st time looking to create a tournament bracket. question, how much does this differ if there were 10 teams?
Brian Jones what do you mean by “bye”?

To have it work without byes, you need exponents of 2. (Ex: 4 players, 8 players, 16 players, 32, players, 64 players, etc.)
You helped me a lot! Thank you
All the other you tubers I found rlly hard to understand but this seemed easy Fortnite or not thx bro keep it up
Yeah, this is a good explanation. I will use this on a whiteboard as a backup if there is a technical malfunction. thanks

Thanks for this. I'm having a 16 person chess tournament. Do you simple just double the bracket for that or would you suggest a separate 8 person bracket?
