    This light does have some potential particularly with the ability to shut off the fan for a period of time and of course being bi-color but I really want to see how this performs when the battery and Bowens modifier comes out.

    Hi Gerald,
    I saw the background light is the falcon eyes fi-1 led stick light

      Hey Kristy! Actually that's an older light from Soonwell. I will be having a review coming very shortly of the FI-1 very soon which is an amazing light!

    I just got this light in a kit off Amazon with the NP-F adaptor, a small softbox that fits the mount with no adaptor, a postal grip handle, the remote, and two NP-F batteries. Not bad! The fan is too loud but I like that you can turn it off at least for a period. A nice light for compact spaces. I need to grab a new Bowen’s adaptor but feel like this would hold up nicely with bigger modifiers

      @GeraldBertramPhotography  3 года назад

      I just saw some of the new accessories were available. I'm going to grab that Bowen's mount adapter for sure as I think the Sokani NP-F adapter I already have will work with it. It's starting to turn into a pretty useful little light!

      @@GeraldBertramPhotography yea it’s been on for over two hours now with the fan off at 15%......might need to be cranked up with a bigger softbox but wow overall impressed.

      @@GeraldBertramPhotography for sure.....I will do that. I plan to make a series of videos on this light (first impressions [recorded tonight], full review, a Weeylite ecosystem setup (I have the RB9, WE-10 Ring light, 2 Sprite 20 panels, and now this Ninja 200. All work on the app so going to talk about the ecosystem), and probably a one light stand setup with this light and all camera gear gripped to it. I am going to be so busy lol 😂

    This is an awesome little light, I got my hands on an early copy as well, i can give you a bit of insight on the battery issue as i was able to use a d-tap to barrel connector and power this light via v-mount battery, the connector is the same size as the one on the forza battery grip so i'm guessing that might work with it as well. also the bowens mount looks about the same as the forza 60 mount, i don't have a forza adapter to test this but if it does fit that would be a solution for the mounting options at the moment.

    • @GeraldBertramPhotography
      @GeraldBertramPhotography  4 года назад +1

      Hey Jimmy! Thanks for that info! after I shot this I actually tried using a d-tap to barrel cable to my v-mount battery and indeed it worked like a champ. Thanks for the info on the Forza mount. I may just have to grab that adapter just to try it out.

      @@GeraldBertramPhotography I too have this early, lol, and I brought it on set for a music video yesterday. I picked up the forza mount at b&h before I left, and while the mount is nearly identical, it isn't an exact fit. The adapter clicks in but easily pops out if you wiggle it at all. That being said, I was able to mount the aputure lantern on it, and it was unbelievably bright at 1% and didn't fall. Anything bigger probably wouldn't hold very well.

      @@GeraldBertramPhotography hey so i did a few tests today and i found that the lip of the reflector dish is just big enough for you to fit it snugly in one of those folding pop out softboxes for speedlights, I think this would be a great way to modify the light because you get the added output of the reflector combined with a softbox

      @GeraldBertramPhotography  4 года назад

      @@JimmyBlanco Whoa, now that's interesting! Do you mean one of those foldable ones from like Godox that are square but fold down into a triangle? Where you normally attach it to some of those S-type bowens to speed light adapters?

    • @GeraldBertramPhotography
      @GeraldBertramPhotography  3 года назад +1

      @@levelup2203 I have that adapter myself. I'm still planning on doing a follow up video. I can confirm that any Bowens mount light modifier will work. Do be careful about using super large modifiers. The yoke isn't incredibly strong but should handle for example a softbox around 32" or so.
