Quill is a *really* good coach in this game. In the movies he’s such a hapless bro, but here he has some immense social skills. Gotta wonder how he got so good at motivating and helping people.
This is part of what I loved most about the story of this game. In the films, it always felt like you could only have serious moments like this at the end, and not get interrupted by some ill timed joke. Here, we have the serious moment, but rather than interrupting it, they give it a moment to breath. No one here is trying to minimize Gamora's pain. In a way, Peter's 'she's right guys, everything has changed, because the greatest killer in the galaxy just admitted...' is so genius, because it serves as both set up for the punchline, but also he knows Gamora is going to pay special attention to what he says next because those are the sorts of words she feared yet expected the most. Following up with 'that she loves us' is just so nice, because there's a kernel of truth to it too, because the game does such a great job showing that Gamora does not like showing people her "soft" side, and in this moment, she inadvertently did. She admitted this bothers her so much, not just because she killed someone she loves, but because of how it would make the people she cares about think about her. She's admitting she cares about them. And no one tries to convince her that Nebula did need to be put down, to minimize what she has done, or her feelings on that matter. Rather, they're showing her that her big worry, that her actions had created a rift between her and the team, are needless. That they recognize that the big cause of her worry is that she, in her way, loves them like a family, and that in spite of what she has done, they love her too. Drax, in his own way, even drives it home with, 'yes, you did admit you loved us, after you admitted to killing your sister'. Sure, its a bit of a joke, but his deadpan delivery further shows, 'yes, I was paying attention to everything that you said, but the important thing here isn't what you've done, its that you finally admitted something incredibly personal, and that we love you too'. Sometimes video games kind of try to rush through emotional story beats, film and TV do it too, to justify their big emotional ending. So its nice to see when someone gives moments their room to breath and naturally develop. To show, rather than tell.
bro THAT’S WHAT I WAS SAYI- * Shia LaBeouf Intense Clapping * 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾😡👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Hit the nail on this one, didn’t you? Peter: “…she loves us.” Gamora: I just admitted in shame to committing an bittersweet act of kindness to my long lost sister in battle: a guilt I was sure I were to die with: ultimately burdened to live with. I feared what you all may have thought of me if I had shared this shame…but you stand here, expressing that you value me? That you value my care for you all over my sins?” It’s the way she smiles away from them, turns back to them all stoic-face again that reels it home. How she refuses to show them but THEY KNOW. So we know for sure, away from the team, in her quiet moments: Gamora smiles to herself…how lucky she is to finally have a family she’s accepted…who’ve accepted her back. Storytelling man…..

I like to think that he has some self-help tapes hidden faaaar away from the rest of the team, knowing he would get absolutely roasted.
And I loved it! Peter is such a better leader in the game
Such a powerful scene.
This game is what Marvel's Avengers should have been like, story wise.
True, ever so true.
The story for the avengers game was actually really good...it was the gameplay that became kinda tedious
@@fehrlystandardentertainment I can agree on that
@@fehrlystandardentertainment yeah the story is average but not terrible
And SS: KTJL.

I love this game to death! Cant wait for more missions or dlc.
I’m pretty sure they ( Edios Montreal the developers) said they are not doing any dlc
@@logandavis3595 really? Dam...then after the games done what's the point of repeating it...
@@1ofHenrysMen I said no dlc I didn’t say new free updates and again might be wrong and they could put in some dlc
@@logandavis3595 if new free updates add something, that still counts as dlc
@Sean Da Best in my mind dlc is payed for updates are free but hey that’s me
I love the quick look of relief she gives.
