Alex, I use Termius for managing SSH. It worked great - but as soon as I rebooted the machine (After initial CloudPanel install), I can no longer SSH into my virtual machine. Any ideas here? Nothing changed besides typing in "reboot" and I've not been able to reconnect since. Same SSH key, same user, same information (All saved as a host in Termius).
For the arm instance i tried plenty of options but i settled with Virtualmin it's the best so far for me, it looks complicated at first but gets easy once you get used to it
@@silverfoenix The supported PHP version is 7.4 but you can install other versions by adding ondrej Repository, I am using PHP 8.1 and it's working fine On the default installation it will install apache you have to choose LEMP instead of LAMP during installation to get NGNIX There is a tutorial for installing varnish and configuring it to connect with apache but I have no idea if it works with arm64 I haven't tried it

Hi there, I have used this method for 2 sites and all works well. The only problem is that after some time - a month or so - my instances disappear and the sites do not work anymore. So I need to recreate the instances again. Once I create the new instances however, the old ingress rules are still there. Why would the instances disappear?

Really amazing video. I loved cloudpanel better than aapanel. Only issue am facing is the FTP connection. I created ftp user in the cloudpanel admin for the site, but through filezilla am not able to connect somehow. Through the default file manager in cloudpanel I was not able to upload my website backup which was 500mb+ in size. Any advice on this ? Thank you so much in advance
can you make a cheap way to make a mail server (low spec vps no antivirus no antispam) with connection with email client like thunderbird (smtps pops imaps) ? (i have try cyberpanel some times didn't like it for mail server)
Min requirements for Cloudpanel is RAM 2GB. I'm running 4 Wordpress installations on Digital Ocean droplet 1GB RAM without any issue until now. What am I missing? Cheers.

I was wondering to migrate my website that is starting to get bigger (about 200 posts) from cloudways Vultr HF plan, but after taking a look at the performance metric, mine are 3x faster. So probably its better to pay and stay cloudways, then the free plan? I know its cheap and provides a lot of value, but comparing with cloudways that is a premium host, i think probably is a bad move. Let me know what do you think about it.

I followed all the steps and it is working great except for one thing. FTP doesn't actually work even though it is allowed in Oracle (port 20 and 21). Because of this, Wordpress updates also are not working because Wordpress asks for FTP credentials. How to fix this problem?

MariaDB often performs better than mysql in wordpress, also Maria is fully open source GPL licence, but mysql has an 'enterprise edition' that gives some extra features. I probably should've used Maria on the tutorial, but mysql was just the first option on the list 😅
@@_Trakman no thats not mariadb is more optimized database and if you have multiple connection on database MySQL is getting slower that means your site getting also slow but mariadb can Handel multiple connection with out loosing performance
Hey Alex, you have an amazing ability to break things down into simple logic. Keep up the great work! I have one quick question though that never seems to get addressed. We always have the setup addressed but what about the spindown / shutdown / change to a different server? Example, when I signed up for oracle free tier I could not seem to get an Ampere instance to become available so I went ahead and just did an AMD to play with and familiarize, set everything up using cloud flare and sendinblue etc.. Today I was able to get an Ampere instance and would like to move that domain over. What is the best practice for shutting down a domain on one server if you wish to recreate it n another, when you have SSL set up on cloud flare, and a mail server set up using sendinblue, etc. I don't care about transferring any mail or web files etc. Is it just as easy as deleting the domain in Hestia? Delete the DNS records in cloudflare? And then just rebuild everything?

Yes, go to your Instance in Oracle Cloud Control Panel. Stop the instance. Click More Actions Click Edit And Edit Shape. You can add more OCPU and RAM here. Once complete, Start your instance again.

I have installed Centos Web Panel on a VPS and on tope off the A record, I had to configure the Nameservers DNS (NS1 and NS2) also configured on Namecheap. On your tutorial you didn't show these NS1-2 configuration? Will I have to configure it or isn't it necessary with cloud panel? I am a bit confused. Edit: I just read the comments, and this is funny, someone else was asking you the same question ..:) But actually it does not help me, you answered that the DNS are managed by namecheap and therefore there is no need of configuring the NameServers DNS... If you could briefly explain why it is not necessary. I guess i will have to find a tutorial explaining what are the nameservers dns..
Hi, It isn't necessary, I have the nameserver set to namecheap basic DNS: snipboard.io/3XKZvM.jpg and then enter the records as shown in the video. Have fun :)

I've one request: Could you please do a performance comparison video between a LiteSpeed server and a CloudWays server? CloudWays uses an optimised Nginx, its much faster than default Ngnix, but maybe competitive with LiteSpeed. It would be a great video too because no one else has done it so far I think!
i did a quick comparison in the openlitespeed video: ruclips.net/video/Nc4gU_X6j_w/видео.html (skip to the performance chapter) - I don't think there is any notable difference in the majority of cases, but I think some people like openlitespeed for the included wordpress plugin

For anyone banging their head like me you need to run the command "sudo apt reinstall systemd-timesyncd" before installing cloudpanel, otherwise it says installation complete without actually being installed.

Can you add another domain inside CloudPanel and pointing DNS towards this or do you need to set it up also in Oracle?
I have answered this one myself. As long as you point the DNS to CloudPanel it will work when you add another domain

after you added a dns record in namechaep, do you still need to create and add custom nameservers to namecheap like ns1 and ns2?
No, we are using the name cheap dns, no need to change the name servers

pretty much, terminate the old one, make a new one and change the IP address in your DNS 👍

Yes, go to your Instance in Oracle Cloud Control Panel.
Stop the instance.
Click More Actions
Click Edit
And Edit Shape. You can add more OCPU and RAM here.
Once complete, Start your instance again.

Umm. No. If your computer was the hosting server then yes. But as your hosting is on someone else's server i.e. Hetzner - then no.
