Hi you may remember I brought a C3 SX as my first flip car. the owner got rid because it kept going into limp mode there mech couldnt fix it. when I took car for a drive, it was a noisy ride, the drop links needed replacing also thermostat housing was leaking plus this limp mode problem plus a Droning noise (Humming) coming from off side front. The owner just had new front disks and pads fiited both sides. I brought the car and sorted all this out. limp mode problem was the throttle pedal no good. so car sorted now but still this Droning noise that stays at a constant level. I took car for MOT expecting a fail on a wheel bearing but it Passed. Question is do you think off side front disk/pads making this low sounding droning noise or wheel bearing. I am not a mechanic but It don't sound like wheel bearing to me it sounds like exhaust problem.

yeah I remember Andy.. it sounds like a wheel bearing from how you describe it mate.. usually a front bearing noise will alter when turning, does your go quiet one way & louder the other? there a chance the MOT tester may have missed it, as you don't road test as part of the MOT it may not of been as noticeable just spinning the wheel up
