Close but no cigar. Like all roof tiles there pros and cons. My problem with this is the misleading information. Clay (Terracotta) tiles are easily walked on during installation. They also have a wire clip interlocking system just like concrete tiles. Nails or clouts are a thing of the past.

Besides this propaganda let’s look at some facts. I live in a southwest Florida community with virtually all concrete tiled roofs. The average age of homes here is about 20-25 years. I don’t think there’s a single roof that hasn’t been replaced! That was even before Ian hit in the fall of 2022. I was told a couple years ago that my house was the last one on my street to have the original roof. How can a roof that is often quoted as having a 50+ year lifespan last only 20 years at most? Manufacturers and installers touting these bogus numbers should be subject to a class action lawsuit.
