Awesome! This song just displays their mastery! If you are every curious, go check out like the first 30 sec of the Kiiara song. Mitch is able to sing it, where as Kiiara had to make it electronically. It's crazy!

This is such a complex arrangement. Everyone has their part and their timing needs to be perfect. This has become one of my favs.
Couldn't agree more. It's incredible to watch it 5 times and focus in each take on another member. There's obviously Mitch in the main focus, and Avi and Kevin. But without Kirstin and Scott .... nope.
At the end, when they start passing the lead around one word & note at a time? That's just amazing! 💕

So happy you reacted to Gold! It doesn't get much more stripped down than this. This is one you need to listen to at least 6 times - once to focus on each member, and once to close your eyes and listen to it as a whole. This is a masterpiece, and they make it look so deceptively easy.
Live, one take, no enhancements - just show that perfection doesn’t need production mix
This has become one of my all-time favourite PTX vids. They are masters of the laid back, one take, nothing but voices, but still too much going on to be aware of it all, over the top version of someone else's song(s). Nobody does it better.
I love this PTX song because it shows all their talents. And so melodic! And they did it live! I also like your reactions always really grooving with the beat! That’s why I subscribed!

When they perform in concert, there is always a part where Kevin and Avi (now Matt) get to have their own duo moment. I saw them back in 2019 in Worcester Mass when Rachel Platten was their opener. She was from the Boston area, Kevin went to Yale In CT, and Matt went to the Berklee College of Music in Boston.

Watch the original video and their version blows it out of the water. What Mitch is doing is called vocal chop and Kiiara has to use digital effects to achieve what Mitch does easily.

Hello Newfie! Happy Easter! I love how PTX has a knack for covering songs that you would never expert to hear A Cappella, like Valentine or Come along. This one is originally full of sampler phrasings put together and there goes Mitch, mastering this on his own, and with Kirstie and Scott at the end. Brilliant! Avi and Kevin so solid! 🤦♀️ unbelievable! Great reaction as usual. 🤗

This is one of my favourite covers of theirs, it’s not unusual for them to be on par or even slightly better than an original track but this is one of those where they far surpass the original. I actually don’t like the original, Kiiara can’t actually sing the chorus of her own song, she had to piece it together & loop it meanwhile Mitch just says hold my drink hunty & smashes it out like it’s nothing 🤣 everything about PTX’s version is perfection, everyone was on point & like you said it’s hard to know where to look because every single one of them is doing something amazing. Loved the reaction & I hope you get to the other songs on that poll list cause there’s some bangers on there 😁💓
In all honesty, every cover PTX have ever done, then that becomes my favourite version of that song. Without fail.

Your 'reaction' was also flawless......lol Now seriously when you do that little impersonation of Avi I had to laugh because if you put your cap on backwards like he has you could almost pass his twin lol. So happy you picked up on Kirsty's vocal support especially near the end....love her voice. Keven & Avi shared an apartment & I can just imagine the fun they would have had rehearsing this together. Love when it's all set up with one camera so we can see all their efforts....

This is one of the most intricate of all their arrangements. What Mitch does switching octaves is amazing and definitely better than the synthasized version. No offense to Kiiara since that's her jam, but it always amazes me when he does the same with his voice. AND, the syncapation at the end between the trio is fantastic. And, of course, as always meat and potatoes are great. Everyone always mentions Kevin's great percussion. You rarely hear about Avi's awesome base drops at the end of each section.
