I'm so pleased with how the corset body is looking, especially as it's the first one I've made. There's a few more wrinkles in the satin that I'm happy with so I may change the construction method a bit when I make my next one (it was really tricky to get under the sewing machine at some points. Sewing the zip and center front boning channels once the back was joined was especially hard) in order to get a smoother end result. But as this one is going to be completely covered in lace, sequins and crystals I'm not too concerned!
Thank you so much. The more I look at it the more I'm happy with it. I think I just needed to step back for a couple of days after the frustrations of sewing it!
Wow, Jazida looks stunning in your corset. I'm really looking forward to having a little more time to sew myself :) your creations are really inspiring
I loved watching this series! I wish I had this before working on the next project.. it was definitely a challenging one trying to make a corset body but closing only with a zipper.
Thank you. Yes, it's really hard to get a good cinch without lacing as well as a zip - you'll bust even the sturdiest zipper if it's too tight. Looking forward to watching your video when I get a chance - I saw the notification pop up earlier :)
Thank you so much. I was so pleased with how this turned out. I'm excited that I'm about to start working on a new costume for Jazida using this same pattern.
I will. Probably not the making of the corset body itself as it will be the same as the one on this video, but definitely the embellishments and other costume pieces that will be going with it.

What a beautiful shape! I've always loved longline corsets in general, but this takes that aesthetic to another level. 🥰

@@RockstarsandRoyalty oh awesome! Do you plan to document that one too?

Brilliant tutorial. Will go to the series. Thanks No I’m a novice sewer
You are absolutely amazing😍 I've been looking so long for a tutorial like this. Don't stop make these videos. Great❤️👌🏻😍
Thank you. I'm glad it was helpful for you 🙂
Beautiful work! I solve the problem with the zipper spreading by adding bones right on top of the zipper. Thank you for sharing. :)
Hi? Did you interfaced with iron on fusible interfacing? Or only only used cotton countil? GREAT WORK!!!!!!
Thank you. I did use iron on fusible interfacing.
This is AMAZING, thank you so much xx
Glad you like it!
Do you have this pattern available for purchase
Eu amei
Can this work with duchess satin
Yes, as long as it's not the really thick kind or the seams end up really chunky.
