As a kid, when I first played this game on my GBA SP, Sora genuinely getting angry at Larxene after the battle was my first instance of Sora going kind of unhinged. It felt cool, but at the same time, felt wrong, because that’s not the Sora I knew. Just an example of how he was being played by the Organization, which I hated, because we all know Sora’s a good guy, but it felt like they were playing him to bring the worst of him out for their purposes
I felt the same when Sora had a breakdown in kh3. Sora is always so happy and cheerful. When he has brief out of character moments you know things are bad.
The best strategy to this fight in proud mode is basically just making sure to attack only when she's about to attack as well so you can card break all of her attacks, later on her attacks will progressively get easier, and if you get lucky with the timing on her attack where she starts cloning herself, you should beat her no problem. It's one of the fights that actually need to use an strategy to win (Or you can spam sonic blade if you already have it by this point)
Or just kill her with magic attacks and use the red and blue magic heartless to boost your fire and blizzard magic and not use thunder also to equip 6 cures🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
I’m not even joking when I say Larxene has killed me more times than any boss in Elden Ring after just an hour and a half Edit: I eventually got past her, but if you’re struggling, here are a few options: -make a deck full of nothing but magic cards and ethers and keep spamming sleights: they do an INSANE amount of damage -level up to level 27 so you can get Sonic Blade: none of the human bosses can do anything against a deck full of Sonic Blade sleights (hi-potions help a lot) -figure out her patterns and use zeroes to slowly whittle her down It’s frustrating, sure, but once you figure it out, this game is kind of amazing. It’s incredibly challenging at first but it’s unbelievable how satisfying it is to beat one of the bosses
Sonic Blade is your friend for the first fight. Keep a couple zero cards the front of the deck and never use them for sleights. Once you get the Darkside card, add it for the next fight if you fail. It allows you to mimic the targets enemy card. For the elemental members, their card grants immunity to their respective element. In Larxene's case, you'll be immune to electric attacks
Man Larxene was so evil to Sora in this game. Hard to believe that she used to be a Keyblade wielder named Elrena. I honestly didn’t know until I looked it up
Larxene’s voice actress Shanelle Workman also voiced Arcia Rinslet in Chaos Legion and Pasadena O'Possum in Crash Tag Team Racing which she didn’t return to voice her in Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled. Shanelle is also Ariel Winter’s sister.
Donald's AI usually targets elemental weaknesses in other games (especially in 1!) In this game, he's completely random, he doesn't target weaknesses at all
I am in proud mode and Larxene has beat me three times. These boss fights are just awesome! The pace of battle is epic. I look forward to beating her though.
This entire plan would've fallen apart if Sora and the others realized that if the castle can erase memories, it might be able to create fake ones, and proceeding to believe that Namine doesn't actually exist and even if she does, she played no part in Sora's life
To help my people out use fire and blizzard magic to defeat her also equip the red and blue magic heartless's to boost both your blizzard and fire magic also dont forget to equip 6 cures Yall can thank me later😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
I just beat her after many many tries. Never gotten more pumped about beating a boss in my entire life. Also how does goofy work? It seems like he moves where you move and it’s so annoying
@@thenintendocyclops1074i think it might be, because 3 donalds ups the prefixes of the spells, like to the ga prefixes. Which means ups the power and damage to all spells.
Great timing Donald and Goofy and your right there it's always been Sora Donald and Goofy together and they always stick together and that is how it's going to stay forever right KH fans all the way indeed!
Goooood I remember the first time her character was introduced. She was such a b* even in 365/2. I have never genuinely hated a villain as much as I do Larxene
@@LeopardSamurai Thanks, didn'tnotice. I was actually LV 24, but it only took a few more tries and you know, not being absolutely trash at the game and actually using stocked cards for once in my life! Thanks again! Breaking her cards really made this a lot easier.
arrange your deck so you have stocked setup attack cards for sonic blade, have the LEAST amount of attack cards in FRONT of your stacked sonic blade setup. have at least 3 fire and blizzard magic with at least one of them have zero power plus blue and red enemy cards to enhance your magic. and dont forget at least 3 cure cards for curaga. ALWAYS counter her cards and be patience, and do sonic blade whenever she stock a card or 9 cards. dont forget to break her cards with magic I kicked her ass in level 31. good luck
This fight isn't that hard if you actually open every door and use the key cards that Spawn hella heartless so you can grind faster and get sonic blade, also you're gonna need a shit ton of cards so the more cp you have by this point the better
@@LeopardSamurai Don't take this the wrong way, but I think you may have misunderstood the mechanics of the game. In combos (I'm assuming you mean sleights), the first card will always be rendered unreloadable. The second and third cards can be reloaded, even if they are premium cards. However, premium cards cannot be reloaded if they are used normally (as single cards). 0 cards have the ability to break any attack, including sleights, no matter the total value of the cards. So to have all your 0 cards premium drastically weakens the advantage of 0 cards. Also, I think your deck order needs some work. Set up your cards so that the card you're on, along with the next 2 cards have the needed for a sleight. Furthermore, set up so that the first 2 cards in your first sleight and the second card of your second sleight before your first reload add up to a sleight. This way, you can quickly set up sleight attacks without needing to scroll through your deck. This will be useful in harder modes. Set this up correctly and you'll be able to finish off most battles fairly quickly, including bosses. I say most because there are some enemies that have abnormal body structures and cannot be dealt with normally such as Ursula and the boss in Wonderland. In boss battles as well as fighting regular enemies, apart from those abnormal bosses, I almost never need to rely in normal attacks because this gives enemies few opportunity to attack you. Although, this method doesn't work very well at the start of the game.
Technically Hi-Potion and Hi-ether can reload ALL attack and magic cards respectively including sleight used cards and premiums, however the item cards themselves can only be used once per fight
What’s the fun in just spamming cheese tho? Idk might just be me, I always found the fun of the game making a deck that wasn’t super powerful but would help you win. It’s easy to cheese the game, and personally, I’m not a fan of cheesing, so. I think the satisfaction comes from making a deck you know was good and beating the game that way, not just cheesing it. Why isn't Donalds AI programed to not use Thundef for this fight?
