- My Full Review of the Bosch Professional GCM 18V-216 Cordless BiTurbo Mitre Saw that Bosch sent me to Test and Review.
Pros:
Lightweight and Portable even with Battery Less then 16KG
Brushless Motor Equivalent to 1600watts Corded
Good Cross Cut Capacity up to 270mm
Good Cutting Depth up to 70mm
Cons:
Poor Placement of Bevel Adjustment Handle
Not great Dust extraction with supplied Bag
Handle feels cheaper compared to other models
Material Supports are quite Small

Good review pal... Similar are all promotional material. Trying to decide between this and a corded makita..
Thanks for the comment, I would also take a look at the 18V 216 DC (Dual Bevel) model or the newer GCMs in the range.

Do you get descent cuts with these saws? I just bought the GCM 800 SJ and it is impossible to get a straight or smooth cut. There is too much flex between the motor and the pivot point to keep the blade stable.
Yes, I can say I've had good straight accurate cuts, If you're not getting them i would suggest checking the alignment, fence and make sure everything is square.
I do agree however there is slight play in the arm but I've not noticed this cause me any issues.
@@davesworkbenchuk Thanks for your reply. I've tweaked all the adjustments. I've tried four different blades on it. All four work perfectly in my old Dewalt DW700 (Elu PS174). All work equally poorly in this Bosch. I am pretty sure it is the body flexing. I asked you because yours has the same body and the same amount of flex. I had a play with all these 216 models at the shop. If you lock the saw/motor in the down position and push sideways against the bottom of the blade, you can see the motor moving up and down quite a bit. I'm trying very hard to like the saw, but it needs to cut smooth and straight.

Yes, both have a single Laser Line

Is the corded model a double bevel?
Yeah it is, i think Bosch have a Double Bevel 18v one in the pipeline though...
