I looove Sayaka Murata’s writing so much, she always captures the feeling of alienation rlly well
Honestly her writing is so unique I already need a new one from her!
@@loverofpages me too, atp I’m pretty sure I’d read anything she writes (that gets an English translation )
your videos are becoming my favorites to watch so fast!!! im so happy i found your channel
Thank you so much! 🥹
i’ve read and watched poor things as well and truly don’t understand how people can view either as misogynistic when the entire idea of the story is bella’s discovery of how women are treated in the world and taken advantage of
Exactly what I think! I think it opens such interesting discussion which I love and it’s definitely nuanced
Love this I need to add a few of these to my tbr btw I added you on Goodreads xx
Thoroughly enjoyed watching this video!
Thank you!!!
We have such similar taste :) I also love reading a bit of everything! I’m so glad I found you on TikTok 😊
🥰🥰 thank you so much!
adding modern divination to my tbr immediately after you read that quote out omg
Honestly it SOLD ME
i've owned the indie edition of Modern Divination for almost a year now and this was my sign to finally get to it this year for sure!
I’d be SOOO intrigued to see what you think!!
New subscriber. Those books I want read and that MD book now too.
AH YAY! Thank you for being here 🥰
I’m really really excited to read Modern Divination but I think I want to wait until October/November😭
I really wish I kept it for then!!! I wanna know what you think omg
See I definitely preferred Poor Things as a book. Purely from a setting perspective so bitter that they've changed it to London, it's such a disappointment. Glaswegian though - so a bit biased 😂
That’s so interesting! that was one of the main critiques I had seen so I get it completely
Poor things the film is FABULOUS - the book tho was not my jam
I agree!
