@DonTommyVercetti I second that, but seriously, you can't compare a studio version to a (surely overdubbed) live DVD version. Jesse and Howard both struggle in a live situation, but who wouldn't? Screaming and singing in quick change is a true challenge and I don't know ANY singer who'd deliver THAT on stage the same way he delivered it in the recording studio.By the way, I think Howard has the better singing voice, but Jesse's screams sound way sicker than Howard's.
Looks awesome. I hope they do a proper UK tour - they have all the stage presence that makes live performances kick ass. I hate it when you see a band live and they're just static and lifeless. ToG look to have an energy about them :D
@WeirdSchizo True, the live version would have had a lot of editing done to it. But I've seen a lot of amateur shot live vids of them and Howard sounds just as loud and powerful. Seems to me Jesse's better at holding down his high screams than Howard, but Howard can hold down singing better. Both hold their own on mid pitch screams, though from what I've heard, Howard has more power and is able to scream louder. I know exactly what you mean, though. I'm a vocalist myself.
@WeirdSchizo I personally think Howard's screams sound better live. They're a little too cleaned up on album. He sounds more raw and aggressive live, in my opinion.
No. The band only consists of Adam and Jesse. Adam asked Joel if he could perform with them live for that tour and he gladly accepted, especially since around the time (2011) Joel and the rest of the band wasn’t doing much since Killswitch Engage was taking a break.
@Jongray100 I need to agree that is true that Jesse isnt the best clean vocalist , but I'm a singer and you need to approve that how Adam D made the songs and how he mixed the songs made them really hard to sing, and the pitch wich Adam used in the studio versions of the acoustic songs is maybe too high for Jesse.
@thnk4urself To each his own, Adam is the lead guitarist and more often than not, not always i realize, but more often than not the lead is tougher than rhythm therefore usually the better player plays lead, again not always but IMO this is one such case
yes he does. Joel rocks out a lot actually, it's just anybody standing next to Adam D, and Mike throwing his bass all over the place is gonna look a bit drab. HAHAHA seriously, if you want to talk about lack of stage presence, just look at J fo (the drummer), dude literally does nothing behind the kit except play, and occasionally smile at Adam doing stupid shit. I don't think I've ever seen him headbang. At least Joel beard bangs & head bangs
@thnk4urself I dont think joel is better, remember that adam d writes all the riffs for killswitch, even back when he was a drummer he wrote a good amount of them
not even close. i honestly believe that kse kinda sticks more to somewhat of a solid tempo for each song, but times of grace is kinda thrashy, then slow chorus, thrashy, then slow again. and though that is structural as well, its just not my cup of tea. feels like one minute im speeding down the highway at 140, then the next minute im in a rocking chair knitting a freaking pink sweater. just not the same.... :/
@crazybaseballdude12 Howard's screams are laughable? I find that comment laughable. Howard's screams aren't always perfect, but neither are Jesse's, or any other vocalists for that matter. Howard's the loudest screamer I've ever heard, and when his screams are good, they are fucking good. I love Jesse, he's great, but Howard blows him out of the water. Go listen to the AOJB version of Numbered Days, then look up the World Ablaze live version. Tell me Howard's screams are laughable then.
@crazybaseballdude12 Actually, I'll save you the trouble. Compare this: ruclips.net/video/EJlHTKSH3JU/видео.html To this: ruclips.net/video/PnPTVVaozVw/видео.html Again, I love Jesse, I'm glad he's back. Yeah, he's definitely improved as a vocalist, but he's simply not at Howard's level. I like BOTH of them. Ask me who's a better lyricist? Jesse, no doubt. But who's the better vocalist? Howard. I'm tired of the Jesse fanboyism. KsE rules no matter who's singing.
god i love Adam lol. Smile everytime i see him play live
Holy shit I finally found footage of my first ever concert. I was in the front. Woooow
I was at this show, such an amazing performance. So glad i went.
fucking bad ass. That building wouldnt even be standing if I were at that fucking show. I would tear it down as an OFFERING TO TIMES OF GRACE.
Frickin' stand out song! Adam D is a beast guitarist!!! The , intro, riff, chorus and the solo is shredding!!! A lot of depth to this song! lml

LAAAAAMMMME
Amazing
Jesse is the man. His lyrics are awesome. He is what Killswitch is supposed to be.
Awesome! This is the 3rd song I've ever heard them do guitar solo's and everyone of them are pretty awesome! a little short but sweet!
A little. Point is, Joel most definitely has stage presence. In that same DVD, Joel rocks out like a beast son.
On the KSE DVD set this world ablaze Justin does get into it quite a bit.
Fucking badass song! You have gotta love Adam's energy! He is a great guitarist! Powerful song!
Looks awesome. I hope they do a proper UK tour - they have all the stage presence that makes live performances kick ass.

Did they cover the floor with glue in there or something?? 😂
Best voice in Heavy Metal today
haha i love how adam is the lead guitarist, but with ToG and KsE especially Joel does most of the work live cause adam just fucks around
@WeirdSchizo True, the live version would have had a lot of editing done to it. But I've seen a lot of amateur shot live vids of them and Howard sounds just as loud and powerful. Adam makes that PRS look small as hell. Holy shit
Does anyone know the name of the song just before they start playing? Like the intro track? Been trying to figure this out for years.
Steve winwood back in the high life again
@WeirdSchizo I personally think Howard's screams sound better live. They're a little too cleaned up on album. He sounds more raw and aggressive live, in my opinion.
Was times of grace basically the original killswitch lineup?
No. The band only consists of Adam and Jesse. Adam asked Joel if he could perform with them live for that tour and he gladly accepted, especially since around the time (2011) Joel and the rest of the band wasn’t doing much since Killswitch Engage was taking a break.

Six years ago??? Im out of a loop it seems.
whats the name of the intro song ?
Fucking awesome!!
they should do a band cover. killswitch engage- end of a heartache. i bet they will sound exactly the same. hurr hurr :3
He has had back problems. He missed one tour that i seen because of his back. Glad i have seen KSE twice.
@SOADGOD a gibson dot on him is a squire strat on me!!
@thnk4urself To each his own, Adam is the lead guitarist and more often than not, not always i realize, but more often than not the lead is tougher than rhythm therefore usually the better player plays lead, again not always but IMO this is one such case

Malco Alicea you find out the song???
Goosebumps MFW~
@jawkster you have no idea, if you get the chance, you HAVE to go!
@NunnanAgda so just cuz there isnt a mosh going on doesnt mean a damn thing...every person has their own way of showing how they love ToG...
@snapascrew yea and it makes his finger spread insane. he could prob have a finger on the first fret and the 7th at the same time haa
This performance makes the banana i'm eating more nutritious.
Damn, uncanny -- these guys look like those killswitch musicians
@MrCorgiville
thx bro
GET THE ALBUM!!! ...legally
I always thought he played the smaller ones because he has back problems?
christ. How tall is Adam?
yes he does. Joel rocks out a lot actually, it's just anybody standing next to Adam D, and Mike throwing his bass all over the place is gonna look a bit drab. @Madderhatter85 fuck yeah !
Killswitch reborn. its about fucking time.
Damn Jesse looks like such a bad ass
funny coincidence, i'm eating a banana right now lol:)
not even close. i honestly believe that kse kinda sticks more to somewhat of a solid tempo for each song, but times of grace is kinda thrashy, then slow chorus, thrashy, then slow again. and though that is structural as well, its just not my cup of tea. feels like one minute im speeding down the highway at 140, then the next minute im in a rocking chair knitting a freaking pink sweater. just not the same.... :/

I thought they where kill witch engage, sounds almost the same. just saying
1:45 Two mofuggin Vertical Squeals
god damn. it's almost like Joel isn't even there. That's bullshit lol
The real vocals are on that bass player ....
