- With the lack of updates and support for Demon Slayer Hinokami Chronicles, the game has lost the interest of a lot of players.
In an attempt to revive the game, a balance patch Mod lead by Ichunka has been released for the game, and so I thought it was a cool idea to try it out in a tournament setting. This is Demon Slayer Water Wheel Chronicles!

Next time modders will find ways to get rid of the highschool "characters" and make them costumes while using story modes models to create new playable slayers and demons.
That's pretty simple actually.
Only problem is that they wouldn't have the Academy ults.
@@KurohaSaenoki Maybe a system like in Storm can be created where you have the possibility to choose your ult independently from the costume.
@@realfromtherealreality4148 The game is designed already so one character ID takes up one slot. Storms system is entirely different.
For that to happen, the game would need to be reverse engineered.

this mod might actually get me back into demon slayer. i hope this can not only revive the comp scene but the game, at least for pc. big ups to Ichunka for taking it into his own hands.
I'm on console and I love going back on and going through those key demon slayer moments.
I hope this game gets a sequel after this coming season. Improving characters, adding more characters, adding stages, streamlining story mode, and adding more to the boss fights.
Same..I own the game on my ps4 so I can’t install the mod-..but I hope the devs notice this and do make a patch to the actual game..

I definitely miss the content for the game so I hope players will come back. Wanted on the Live channel will definitely bring more eyes and subscribers that way as well. Fingers crossed

Yeah, I was that Brazilian playing that tournament, sorry for the little disappointment, I didn’t played well, but the mod still very well done, props to Ichunka and Globku for that Tournament, it was the best games of my life

You know, I was just talking to someone about the idea of how "everyone dies twice, once when they take their last breath and then again once someone else says their name for the last time." It's interesting your intro to this video is quite similar to that same idea!
Im so sad this game died, it quickly became one of my favorite games I've ever played and I expected this game to last much longer, I was also excited for character's like Gyokko and Doma. It's a shame that I can never participate in a tournament with them rarely ever happening on Ps4, but maybe this mod has a chance to bring back this game I adore so much!
It’s hard finding matches on console. And when you do find matches. It just troll spinning. At least on Xbox.

i recommended the armored and invincible move thing!!!
Dashes should go through level 1 projectiles also just like storm, where chakra dash would beat any low level projectiles
it's just gonna kill yahaba and susa and not change anything else for other demons i don't think it's a good idea

The whole competitive problem is the reason I play Murata and Nezuko assist. I don't know how good the group is, I just want to have fun against other people.

I hope someday, some good devs will make open world demon slayer game...where u can travel (solo or online) and kill demons, train, obtain breathing skills with customization things (nichirin, haori) rank system (mizinoto -> hashira) and same for demons, i think this is just mine dreams xd

Obviously going to be a sequel. But I can’t see them releasing it before the anime finishes. Since it wouldn’t have enough content to make a sequel until then and they refuse to release content before the anime.

I feel in terms of Akaza, if you're going to make annihilation start a yellow combo, you at least need to increase the recovery on wiff or block. Because otherwise people are just gonna throw that out with no regard. They already do, because there is basically no risk since it is almost impossible to punish. But now, giving them an even higher reward for landing it, but still not increasing the risk for missing, you only incentivise them to throw it out more.
I think the mindset was that the “risk” is a demon skill. They can only throw it out twice and they sacrifice breaking from a combo. Whereas compass was a DP that could be thrown out whenever. (But I’m not Ichunka, so just a theory)
But you are right and like Globku said, he didn’t want to go too heavy right away so more changes will be coming for Akaza. I think your idea about increasing recovery would be a great change tho, still rewards the yellow combo but ups the risk.
@@Dead-Eyed-Man I get what you are saying, but even with it using a demon bar, there actually still is no risk for them throwing a YOLO annihilation, because Akaza is extremely difficult to punish with most things he does. And since it is a demon bar you are using, you should discourage people from just throwing it out whenever. It should be a more calculated move to use
@@zaanredelinghuys191 I don’t understand what you’re trying to say. Are you trying to say that there’s no risk in losing a demon bar b/c you’re (Zaan specifically) not able to hit him? B/c that’s pretty subjective, from a gameplay perspective he is unable to break from a combo. Whether you’re (Zaan specifically) able to take advantage of that or not has nothing to do with there being “no risk.”
Nonetheless like I previously stated, I do agree that more changes are necessary (pretty sure that’s a unanimous opinion) and I think you’re idea is a good way of approaching a balance. I was simply providing a theory on what potentially went into his decision with the change. Since it was a conscious decision, so he had a mindset of approaching his changes.
@@Dead-Eyed-Man wrong. Yes that is what I said and it is definitely not subjective. If you think it is then you just haven't fought against Akaza enough. If you are unable to punish Akaza for doing something reckless like just YOLO using a demon skill, then yes there is no risk to Akaza players doing that, because they are safe to do so. If you are safe to do something then there is no risk to you doing that, that pretty much goes hand in hand, that's just basic grammar.

I think the issue for getting new players right now is the price of the game. I am actually a veteran of competing in Naruto Storm games and did really well in those games and I have been eyeballing this game for a long time. However I just cannot see myself paying $60 dollars on it. I would def get back into an anime fighter again like this if I could. It does look good I just can't do that price in relation to the size of the community. Maybe a sale will come my way eventually.

Mean while The Last of Us multiplayer continues to get more players and 80 to 90% of the time you get into a match fast
Can non-competitive players play this mod? If so is there a way to play other players? I’m brand new to PC gaming, so I’m not familiar with this kind of thing. So if someone wouldn’t mind helping me that’d be awesome. Is there certain PC requirements? Thank you🙏🏻

It's so weird the problem that plagues demon slayer is kind of the opposite problem for my hero one Justice 2, If you're too high of a ranked or to low in demon slayer You will barely find a match in your rank, But on the flip side there is no proper rank system on one's Justice 2 so you can literally be matched with anybody and the problem with that is if you fight somebody who just bought the game and trust me I see a lot of new players It may turn them away from the game Because now they're fighting sweats

What are the rules as far as regions? I'm in Hawaii, but I'm gonna be going to NA-East Coast in a few months. Played for a bit. Game was fun, but felt kinda limiting for my guy Inosuke

Can we get Arcsys or someone else to make these games please? I've seen too many games die as a result of having terrible netcode and pretty bad balancing + no balance patches. I hated Storm3/4 were the games that got me into fighting games as the more I learned about the game the more I hated it (especially online)
