Xavier, I think the elevators at the Neiman Marcus parking garage and the Nordstrom store elevators are late WESTINGHOUSE and not SCHINDLER because they do not have the Schindler logo inside.
No, Nordstrom’s elevators were installed in 1996, well after Schindler’s acquisition of Westinghouse, same goes for the Neiman Marcus Garage, which were installed in 1992. The lower level elevator is also a 1992 Schindler, as I made an error in my dialogue.
One of my favorite malls in metro Detroit, I plan on filming the elevators here again and I plan to get the south side as well soon and do retakes on the north.
Definitely a great mall, tons of great elevators despite Crate and Barrel's elevators getting decommissioned and who knows what's going on with old Brook's Brothers elevator.
First, I do know that Crate and Barrel got replaced by Tiffany and Co. being relocated (which the old location had a Dover elevator!), and I had no idea where Brooks Brothers was. I hadn’t known the mall long enough.
@@thexavier456Xavier, I remember from when I was younger, I think the old Brooks Brothers was next to the old Crate and Barrel, which is now Hermes on the first floor and Lululemon on the 2nd.
Easy. The North side has doors to the garage everywhere on every floor, in Macy’s, Nordstrom, and the center of the mall side. The South side has crosswalks on the first floor and skywalks on the second floor on both sides of the mall side, but not inside Neiman Marcus or Saks Fifth Avenue.
Great 🛗 elevators I definitely love the 300a ones but not much of the motor but I love those things

The Nordstrom parking elevator has a louder motor then the Macy’s one.
Well actually, they both have an equally loud motor, it’s just that the fan in the Macy’s parking elevator was drowning it out
@@thexavier456 Oh I see

How Can You Get To The Parking Structures

19:36 aw come on!
Yeah, I haven’t been to Somerset in 2 years, so things have changed
@@thexavier456 It really sucks how they blocked off floor 3.
