I just love Max’s interviews! He is so intelligent, articulate and sophisticated with his words, but without being arrogant. We can feel that he really loves the movie/tv environment and everything that involves it. And also congratulations to Luca for making such great questions and for leading this interview so beautifully.

The two of you are great on screen together BUT the scenes with Liz/June by herself or other cast members doesn’t captivate the audience the way the scenes with you by yourself or you with other cast members does and that’s not meant to take anything from Liz/June or the others. I want you to accept your GREATNESS. You execute (bad choice of word probably lol…) but you do execute who Nick Blaine is with such exactness. It’s astounding! Exquisite! You bring a commanding presence that radiates through the screen. It’s there with Nick and Serena, Nick and Fred, Nick and Joseph, Nick and Luke, Nick and Rose, etc…. Trust me (I’m 49 and having this convo with my friends), IT’S YOU! Whether you’re leaning on the railing of your living quarters smoking a cigarette, washing the truck, slowly walking into a room, or in a room full of Powerful Commanders, YOU (Max’s portrayal of Nick) is driving women insane! Probably gay men too lol… All the micro mannerisms have us losing our minds: -When you press your lips together -How you slide your hand towards your chin -Your voice when you ask June is she okay -When you raise your eyebrows -How you slide your hand down your tie -How you quietly stand off to the side observing the other Commanders -How you held Nichole for the first time -Your eyes when you drive and watch June through the rear view mirror -When you’re pensive and tap your thumb -When you stepped out the car and saw Luke at the protest -When you stepped on the train as Commander Blaine and all the soldiers got in formation -When you stormed in the room to punch Commander Lawrence -When you patted and scratched your head on the bridge after signing the contract with Tuello Clearly I can go on and on lol… What you are doing as Nick is hitting us hard! 🤤 Accept your flowers. 🙏❤ Praise Be. Blessed be the fruit. May the Lord open 😂
P.s. I hope Bruce Miller give us a whole movie or series showing us what Nick was doing in between scenes like Vince Gilligan did with Jesse in Breaking Bad. We want more of Nick’s rise to Commander Blaine ❤
Very professional interview. The first impression I had of Nick in episode 9 was he looked weary. The end where he is leaving after June drove off was heartbreaking. He looked in the direction where she left and looked devastated. Time and space will never dim his loving her. Or June loving him.
In my opinion Max should have been nominated from season 1 for his brilliant acting. A good man got sucked in a horrible system, torn between his love for June and not able to protect her from the Waterford's

I love his character he plays it so well. No idea he has an English accent, big surprise. That helps to realize he is an individual because we get so caught up in the character.
