I get rosacea breakouts and herpes simplex outbreaks a couple times a year. Stress. I get the blustery cold sores under my nose and sinus infection and nit takes 2 weeks to clear up. It also makes me very tired. I hv antivirals but 😢they are not seeming to help this time. I get eye surgery on my right eye end of month. Ins is so slow and cruel. Took over a year and a half to get a surgery scheduled and I’m almost blind.
When I get down, I take a long walk and make a mental list of all the things I am grateful for no matter how small. You will begin to realize, your situation is not as dire as you thought.
Being anxious in anxious times is totally normal. Embrace the people and activities that are important to you. Everything else will take care of itself.
As someone who has dealt with Major Depression and Generalized Anxiety Disorder since puberty I think I understand what you are going through. First, I would say to stop thinking you will ever do away with the anxiety episodes completely. That will help you not to feel so defeated when they hit you out of nowhere. You can say to yourself, well, here we go again, this too will pass. It passes faster if you don't fight it. Second, try to keep doing your everyday tasks and don't isolate too much. If you keep plugging away on the little things it will subside sooner. Anxiety attacks are like a riptide or quicksand. Don't struggle against it but don't give into it completely, just go along with it and ease yourself away gently. Try doing things that soothe you like your music. For me it was mindfulness meditation. I know you will be feeling better soon. Although probably not as soon as you would like. Myself and others are sending you our best wishes.
You're a genuine and gold star example of what being a responsible nomad is. Keep up the good fight brother. I came back to this video to leave a comment because I watched your other one talking about how you had too many comments to read :). All the love to you man.
Anxiety happens when our negative thoughts become overwhelming and we worry about them and spend to much time focusing on them. Someone once told me " don't spend to much time in your head...you can get beat up there " We can try to train ourselves toward looking at what's really good in life. Hopefully you can find your way to see all the good and joyful moments you have surrounding you and focus on them. It takes some practice , but you are sensitive and smart ...you can do it. Talk to your "self" like you would to someone you love and care about. You are a very good and beautiful human being; and you matter. Hugzzz❤
Everyone experiences life differently. I cant totally understand your anxiety because it's yours. What I can relate to is that it sounds a lot like what I have experienced my entire life. The best help I ever got was some advice from my mom when I was little. I was having issues by thinking too much and was unable to sleep. She said, "What you are going through, is it any worse than yesterday? If not, then relax and deal with it tomorrow. But for now, give yourself a break. If it was terrible, you would have already dealt with it." She told this to me when I was around 8. Now I'm 59, and when I can't give myself a break because of the anxiety, I still hear her words and deal with it tomorrow. I don't know if that helps any in your situation, but I thought I would share. You're a great guy, Matty. Enjoy the New Year.
Matty, you are one of my favorite vloggers and it pains me to see you suffer. I am sending good vibes and healing energy your way. Though I and other subscribers may not have had the pleasure of meeting you in person...we are here for you! My best to you.
Matty - such a huge step to express what you’re feeling, brother! Huge. I’m so proud of you. I know when I run from “shit” it just chases me faster. Facing it, exposing it, and letting it out in itself provides some relief. So glad you’re being brave and seeking some professional help. As you know there are many things that can be explored to help relieve these feelings and it may be a combination such as exercise, diet, meditation, sleep, affirmations, therapy , antidepressants…Don’t worry leaving us on a positive note. You take care of you. You probably don’t realize it. Your actions tonight hitting record and expressing what you’re feeling allowed many other men realize they are not alone. You’re not alone, Matty. I will say, not that you abuse it, is to stay away from alcohol right now. For me it’s a poison and it definitely won’t help when it comes to our wellness - mind, body, and soul. Surrounding you with peace and love. You will find relief trust me. 🤗
Alcohol is a depressant…..I’m sorry Matty, I wish I could reach thru this iPad and give you a hug. This is my first time seeing your channel and was wanting to see what people were saying who have followed you for a while. I was glad to see a comment by this person stating that you don’t abuse alcohol. When I was growing up, I never liked the smell of any alcohol. Beer, wine, liquor…didn’t like any. As I got to be an adult every once in a blue moon, I would try a vodka and cranberry….it was tolerable for the most part. Now I can’t have any alcohol cause it makes me instantly sick to my stomach. Have that and a migraine for days if I even have 1 sip….l.to me, nothing is worth those! But if you do have a beer because of your anxiety, I’d venture a guess that the alcohol only intensifies that, therefore need to not consume. I’m gonna subscribe and see what happens.
I have ptsd and anxiety disorder with me I cannot have any caffeine also if I wear one headphone with my favorite music on low helps me alot also not a lot of sugar only within the first few hours of getting up in the morning 😊 I think you look wonderful don't worry so much your your a smart nice man attractive man😊❤
That is tough - those anxiety episodes. My friend says to pray, eat some good grassfed beef and vegetables - no soda, no chips and no candy - and go the gym and workout. This too shall pass. ----- and wouldn't you know it; Dr Jennifer Daniels newsletter talks about rosacea - saying that dairy is the #1 culprit, alcohol #2 culprit and that when someone sees a dermatologist who gives them tetracycline they get better because they have to stop consuming dairy to take the medication. Haha. She also says, for good mental stability, get your cholesterol up by eating bacon and calf liver about three times per week. That's all!
oh gosh matty anxiety just sucks 🙇🏼♀️wishing you well and hope you find a good health professional who can lead you to relief 🎉I have a great nurse practitioner who helped me with mine with natural means. take care matty! thanks for keeping it real ❤
Matty, you are one of my favorite van lifers. You're always so positive and super thorough and interesting to watch.... It's probably just the holidays and the energy of the country in general and I think a night where you are alone to breathe and not worry about everybody else and their stuff in the world that you will wake up refreshed.... I don't know what you've been up to lately, but maybe you were just over stimulated.... You got this buddy. You are an inspiration to many people.... And then maybe that sometimes is some pressure too. You're allowed to have bad days you're allowed to. You know relax. It doesn't seem like you do a lot of relaxing. You're a really energetic soul so maybe your soul just needs to relax.... And take breaths and meditate.... Go outside and ground. Put your feet on the soil and get some grounding in. And I'm guessing you're probably by water. Just listen to that water while you ground.... Do some stretching. Put on some meditative music or some healing frequency music go on RUclips haha.... That healing frequency music will you meditate or stretch and just breathe in and breathe out. Give yourself 15 I-20 minutes.... It's always collecting for me. Also do some bouncing light bouncing on your feet on your toes on your heels. I use a rebounder but it gives me the same feeling. I just do some bouncing even if I don't have it with me. Get some of that lymph moving. Maybe do some tapping.... And you can look that up on RUclips as well❤ But you got this. Love you much, Lisa Ps ... Im lisa hamby miller on fb if u ever need to talk.....❤
With all due respect, you're handsome! I know where you are coming from and know it's not easy. I will pray for you. Keep talking and documenting so you can reflect on it all, because it will pass! Rosacea or not KEEP YOUR HEAD UP! You should only be embarrassed about what you intentionally do to yourself and others. Yes! Be happy that you have a beautiful van,you are FREE,and America is your playground!❣️🎉😘
I have high anxiety and took medicine for a long time. I have since learned techniques that lower my anxiety. One thing, Matty, accept who you are and find your good qualities. You may want to write them down and post them where you have to look at them. Uou may want to add positive comments from your viewers. Medication made me feel artifical and detached. Matty, you ARE an attractive person made to be uniquely you. Everyone has things they would like to change about themselves. You have created this amazing channel and have many loyal followers. Music, you create outstanding music and your guitar playing is extordinary. So many would love to have that talent. Friends, you have made so many since your time living in the van while working. They love you as you are. A rare and wonderful family. You are a great son. So much more, Matty. Also, physical issues. An bring on anxiety without reason. Teeth especially. Get that done first. I find support groups to be the most help. They have your same experiences and found ways to work through ut. If you cannot findva group you like, start one. I bet many followers have the same issues. Make 13:04 it a private group. You can do this! Luv ya, love your channel❣️ 🚙🛣🌵🎸🎶🎵👬
I struggled with that my whole life . Prescription pills didn’t help me. With time I just became addicted. Now I’ve been free from anxiety, depression, and addiction for 20 months. I’m going to pray for your friend. ❤
Matty, i took up Kundalini Yoga in 2010...i was an alcoholic, 40 year smoker, suffered severe depression....by gosh i cured myself. Stopped it all. Took 8 years but i healed it all. It was all in my head....meditation with breath work is amazing.
Hi Matty, anxiety is no joke. For me the best thing I can do to help is take a long walk and think about the things I’m grateful for. See your Doctor . Sometimes we need help from time to time. There’s no shame in that. Feel better, Maddie you’re a good guy really talented and fun to watch .
I am in my 60’s now but have had noticeable anxiety all my life. Instead of fighting it I learned to embrace it and it has helped me achieve things in life. Feeling anxious actually releases dopamine, which motivates us to pursue rewards and take action to bring about the future we want. Anxiety tells us there’s uncertainty, but it’s priming us to navigate that uncertainty, to avert disaster, to make the positive possibilities into reality. It is possible to live a full enjoyable life with constant anxiety. I have learned to live and thrive with it. You can too.
Matty, Chewable Indica Drops help me, for years, with High Anxiety. Keeps me off of "prescribed Medication." Walkes, long walks, n my Drops. Helps a lot. Best of luck to you. ❤
Your RUclips people are here for you! Its snowing in NE Indiana today (1/3/25). Wish I was out West :) Heres a positive: you play a mean guitar 😊😊 Maybe it's time to adopt a rescue dog?
I feel like there has been a general anxiety building for a while with everybody. You can call it some kinda cosmic changes or something. I agree with the other comment about exercise . A good long bike ride always helps me. Hang in there Matty , I'm sure things will turn around.
I’m 65 living in my van. I am parked on a friend‘s property in California. Come to California ASAP. Your current environment does not sound conducive for your mental health. Being on your friends property will provide both of you a level of comfort. Having another set of eyes and ears on the property is very beneficial to the property owner…. providing a level of security. It’s not a handout… you are needed on the property!
Hang in there old man. Me too, and many of us. All I know to do is just push through and think that in an hour, a day, it'll come back around. No promise we'll see tomorrow. Got food? Heat? Security? You got my compassion.
Hang in there, I get it. I also have high anxiety and depression more than the average person. It can get bad, and I really hate it. There are days where I tell myself this can't be like this for the rest of my life, it sucks. Peace to all, ✌
Anxiety is tough. Therapy helped me a lot. It's funny but now that I've been in my van full-time for a year it isn't as bad. I'm off my meds and doing good. Not great but better than I was on the meds. As for health insurance I have Medicare and it cost me $185 a month now which is outrageous. I have a supplement with no premium that covers a lot. Living on my Social Security is tough but I'm managing. I hope you feel better soon and there's nothing wrong with asking for help.
You don't need to meet up with people if it's not the right time and space for you. Your friends will understand. That might be the source of your anxiety, or part of it. Just keep on livin man
Marty I am 76 . Relaxing music helps and I also take 5http it is natural and really helps me. No side effects like some meds. You are one of my favorite utube RS.
When you go to the doctor get them to do blood work and check your thyroid. If it is too high or too low they can give you medication for it. The thyroid can have an affect on many things including emotions, weight loss or gain, among many others. I will be praying for you.
It is also known as the healthcare plan, based on the affordable care act. I have anxiety plus panic attacks. The medication that I took wasn’t renewed after my heart attack on June 16th. I just got the medication back. So I am praying that it will help. Not only anxiety but terrible depression.
Stress from this, stress from that, and stress from the other, etc etc... it all compiles to become generalized, sleep-depriving, anxiety. And every little thing becomes magnified. Focus on the positive the best you can and little by little notch away at the things you need to do. If you go to a doc about your anxiety, they WILL put you on meds. Your talk was not rambling! Know that, although we are strangers, Matty, there are many of us out here, who would consider ourselves fortunate to know you as a friend. Be well. Hang in there.
I was diagnosed with generalized anxiety at the end of last year. I am currently taking Lexapro and finally feel better. It’s so hard living with anxiety. Give the meds time to work. Good luck!
Daily 30 to 60 minute walking, good sleep and meds. There are lots of good meds that can help. Anti depressants (same med for anxiety) or mood stabilizer. Good luck. Do it man, you will be glad, you deserve it!
50mg of vistiril, aka Hydroxyzine PAM, do not let them give you atarax which is Hydroxyzine HCL. It’s non addictive and can be used just when you need it. It works great for anxiety.
Hello, sorry to hear about your anxiety issues. Sometimes we just need a little something to do just to have something to focus on. Maybe volunteer at the RTR, that will give you a feeling of purpose. Hope this helps.
That’s so awesome about that health plan! I have BCBS and love it! I’ve had rosacea on my chest for years. I’ve just gotten used to it over time. Not so attractive but doesn’t do anything horrid so I just ignore it.
I woke up one morning to my whole face flaming red. I went urgent care. Told me it was anxiety 🙃. I can buy that. Gave me some pills that i only took as needed. Now, i don't need them anymore. I could feel my ears getting hot 🔥. I give my troubles to the man upstairs. Then i go enjoy the rest of the day. Blessings to you 🙏 ✨️ 💛.
I know what your problem is, you are missing Taco! Maybe you need to get a pet of your own, one that could keep your mind active. Checkout the rescue shelters.
Someone in the comments mentioned walking. When the weather is nice I have tried walking and it does seem to help when it gets really cold or hot out I don't walk that much. I don't really know all of your issues. I just happened to click this video. I myself have been in counseling a few times in my life. I used to feel better speaking to close friends but almost all of them passed away. I made new friends multiple times and they also passed away. It can be hard. I hope you get through this somehow.
Maybe it's the change in Season. I'm not happy with my looks weight. Or life in general.Your not alone. Hang in there Matty we beat ourselves up way to much. Hugs😊
We hear you Matty! I enjoy to see your channel and wish you the best. I am sending positive vibes. I had a chipped tooth and it was fixed very well at the dentist. My sister has rosacea red cheeks too. Natural blush and looks very cute and normal. You look great and the new year will come through for you! You are free and many people dream for your life. Big hugs for you and we will listen anytime. Look forward to the next steps and I am glad to hear the affordable care act is working for people to have healthcare! ❤🎉😊. Take care! See you in your next video!
Sorry to hear you're struggling bud. Sounds like you are on the right track, taking advantage of your health benefits. Give serious thought to therapy--That should be covered as well, and as someone already commented, it can be delivered "virtually" nowadays. I hope you get back on the upswing soon!
I'm about the same. I started out yes new year then boom this big fog. Speaking about it out loud as you've done is a great release, your not holding it in. 😊
I know you've gotten lots of comments about this, but medication can really help with this. It really sucks I know. I deal with depression and anxiety and it's a struggle.
Anxiety feels like an overwhelming wave of hopelessness. I try to excersize outside to help me burn off frustrations. I started jogging a five mile loop on a local trail. I really need to start meditating morning and night. Some call it mindful meditation. I tried a 5 minute YT video once and it was amazing.
Mattie, some days can get ya down. You have to not worry about the little things. Folks like you for YOU. They don't care if your cheek is rosy, if you have a chipped tooth (I have had one since about age 9, and I bet if you ask anyone, they wouldn't even know) I wish you well. I'm glad you will seek help with the anxiety. Personally, I feel a furry companion would help you a lot with it!
Write things down on a to do list instead of having all those thoughts swirling around in your mind, it also is therapeutic when you finish each item and can scratch them off the list. It works!
don't overthink things Matty. BTW you are a wonderfully compassionate, handsome intelligent funny and talented dude!!!!! you need to stay in the moment, jam the guitar, sing, dance and laugh, keep occupied and talk about feelings. Your not alone, nothing lasts forever, face it and control it. strength love and power. 🐒
Rosacea comes and goes only cosmetic. Had it forty years no big deal. Good mental health is good health. Count your blessings everyday. Keep on keeping on I enjoy your calm informative thoughts and travels. A great 2025 is awaiting!
I’m experiencing the same this week. Gotta keep in mind that if you’re sad; you’re living in the past. If you’re anxious; you’re living in the future. And lay off the caffeine. Expected to retire last year, then was advised that SS has no record on half my life’s earnings. Was asked to coordinate a wedding (something I was thrown into while an assistant to a photographer), which I used to do in a matter of 48 hours or less, but they’re managing to drag it out over an entire week. Bitting my nails, trying to keep from buying a pack of smokes.
Matty, I understand what you’re going through with anxiety. My husband has been dealing with it for years. He has anti anxiety medication which helps a lot as well as speaking with a therapist. I think you seeing a physician will be helpful. Prayers for you. 🙏🏻
It's OK to not be OK. Give yourself grace. Anxiety and stress can flare rosacea. You are in my thoughts.
I hope you start feeling better. Give God all of your stress and problems. He is the great healer! God Bless
AMEN!
Exercise my friend. Take a nice long walk. It works!!
When I get down, I take a long walk and make a mental list of all the things I am grateful for no matter how small. You will begin to realize, your situation is not as dire as you thought.
Great advice i do the same.
Being anxious in anxious times is totally normal. Embrace the people and activities that are important to you. Everything else will take care of itself.

Prayer, meditation and most importantly listen for God's Word.
❤❤❤ writing a to-do list on a scrap of paper and stuffing it in my purse usually helps when I get more than a few items to keep track of.
Wish I was out West :)
Heres a positive: you play a mean guitar 😊😊 Maybe it's time to adopt a rescue dog?
I feel like there has been a general anxiety building for a while with everybody. You can call it some kinda cosmic changes or something. I agree with the other comment about exercise . A good long bike ride always helps me. Hang in there Matty , I'm sure things will turn around.
We love you Matty. We hope you work through this very soon and see sunshine again.
I agree with this, he should go there today.
I hear you. I am going through this myself. It helps to share like you are doing. People do care.
You are not alone…
Prayers that you get over your anxiety. 🙏 Hang in there!
Im sorry you're going through this, Matty. I will keep❤ you in my prayers.
I take magnesium and zinc for anxiety, haven’t had it in a year.
I totally understand fog and doom hits you at once, good your speaking out about it, I'm going through about the same. Sending hugs 🫂
Hang in there old man. Me too, and many of us. All I know to do is just push through and think that in an hour, a day, it'll come back around. No promise we'll see tomorrow. Got food? Heat? Security? You got my compassion.
It was never called Obamacare. It was always called the Affordable Care Act.
I totally get the anxiety thing, I hope you can find some relief from it soon! Be well my friend!
We're pulling for you Matty. Lean on your friends and they will be there for you.
Theyre is no shame in anti anxiety meds! They do work! Worth it
Marty. Thank you for your honesty. Keeping you in my thoughts.
Hang in there, I get it. I also have high anxiety and depression more than the average person. It can get bad, and I really hate it. There are days where I tell myself this can't be like this for the rest of my life, it sucks. Peace to all, ✌
Just a bump in the road . This to shall pass it always does . Be kind to yourself and give it time . 😊
For me sir, magnesium helps a lot. Take care
You have to let what ever in your thoughts go. Live easy and enjoy life as you can .
Just keep on livin man
Gosh, Matty...I've always thought you were so handsome. Super cute and you express your emotions...🥰
I get it. I’ve dealt with anxiety all my life. It’s highly individualized for each person.
Happy to see you can find a positive 👍🏽
You worry too much for sure, but life isn't easy! Count your blessings every day! Is my advice. I promise you will be amazed 😊
Marty I am 76 . Relaxing music helps and I also take 5http it is natural and really helps me. No side effects like some meds. You are one of my favorite utube RS.
It's Matty not Marty.
@ sorry my phone changed the spelling of his name. Thank you
When you go to the doctor get them to do blood work and check your thyroid.
In NOLA, I get it :( Feel better. Pray. Get fresh air.
I was an alcoholic and I went California sober. Each day I take antianxiety meds Zoloft. It's been my dose for 6 years.
Anxiety is horrible. The Norovirus is rampant right now. Stay safe. ❤
😮😢i'm Wandering how/who why all these Nomads are getting the 3/4-series Of Coo coo Puffs without; eating ChocoLate?, bye
Matty you are awesome and not at all alone. Its floating in the air and we are listening and praying the pall in our country, and others lifts.
Sending you good vibes!!!! ❤
Hang in there, buddy! 🙏🏼
Hang in there, Maddy .
In my experience dogs are good medicine for anxiety.
Happy New Year! Hopefully, good times are right around the corner. Journaling really helps my anxiety. Wishing you the best. 😇🩷👋
Hang in there. Just talking about it helps a lot.
I found your channel from Bunny Plays Here. Stay well, the flu is really making its rounds. New subscriber.
They don't care if your cheek is rosy, if you have a chipped tooth (I have had one since about age 9, and I bet if you ask anyone, they wouldn't even know)
I wish you well. I'm glad you will seek help with the anxiety. Personally, I feel a furry companion would help you a lot with it!
Try to take it a day at a time. And you should definitely go and see a doctor. Take care of yourself, Matty.
Good morning, friend. I hope you have a relatively good day. The new year is somewhat uncertain, I know. Prayers for you and your day/week ❤ 🙏.
@Matty - ❤🙏Got to love urself, know you are accepted the way you are🫶🥰. Take care! See you soon!!
Hey Matty this will pass. Give yourself grace & patience. I ❤ Matty!
Rosacea comes and goes only cosmetic. Had it forty years no big deal. Good mental health is good health. Count your blessings everyday. Keep on keeping on I enjoy your calm informative thoughts and travels. A great 2025 is awaiting!
Good wishes to you for sn excellent new year! Hope you are feeling better soon! We cope!
