Usher killed this... Nothing like the original from the master himself... But Usher put a nice twist on it without being too extra... Brother can sing...
He did a great job so people need to give usher some credit. Damn. Nothing is better than the original but at least he could sing the song without messing up. What artist could sing a song like this? Exactly no one.
I hate it when people say usher needs to stick with soft melody r&b songs...he is a artist that branches out...which makes a complete artist...my opinion of course
No doubt Stevie is one of the greatest artists in history, but it's not some kind of insult to him that one of the best preformers of this generation covered his song, and did a damn good job at that. Usher's been in the game making hits for close to two decades now...no reason why he'd be overstepping his bounds covering Stevie. It's not like he's far out of his league. It does the original justice, and Usher's one of the few singers out today who could.
Good cover. He loves Stevie. Anyone mad at Usher for covering one of his heros is crazy. He exposed tons of people to a song they probably didn't know. That was his goal. Stevie is a legend. Usher knows. He wants his audience to know as well
I grew up with Stevie's music and have always been a fan. Since hearing Usher sing in the mid '90's, I know I have loved his voice too. This, and other Stevie Wonder songs he covers, show me exactly WHY... he sings so like Stevie, it comes naturally to him, voice in the same range, and of course, with that attitude ;)
Loved this song growing up and you can tell Stevie Wonder had a influence on Usher . Thought he did his own with it and loved his energy. . Still love watching this performance hard to cover an icon like Stevie Wonder Usher did an amazing job .
Outstanding! He didn't over-sing it. Most people covering Stevie seem to feel likr they have to out-do him (never happen) and they end up sounding like they're yodeling. Respect to Usher.
That girl knows every single man would ask her for her hand. She said her love is much too strong for him to understand. She said her love has been crying out. BUT HER LOVER HASN’T HEARD
Absolutely love this cover of one of my favorite Stevie Wonder songs! Could have done without the ending statement though lol...Usher is so talented - a great entertainer....
Great job covering a classic. He stayed true to the song without being extra with unnecessary runs and vabrato. Wow this video is 11 years old...it's Jan. 1, 2022!
I think this a great performance by Usher and that is a huge compliment as I think Stevie Wonder is the most innovative and influential artist of the last 4 decades!!!
...Usher this would be an awesome single for you! I can see you taking this to the top of the charts in 2015 if you released a cover of Stevie Wonder's "That Girl" as a single!!!
I love Stevey Wonder & "That Girl" is one of my favorite songs by The magical Mr. Wonder but I got to give mad props to Usher. He did his own thing to the song while staying very close and faithful and I thought he BLEW IT OUT! This is one of those songs that I like to call ham bonen & pushin soul cuz if you get into it, you make this urgent face like you gotta pee or sumthin. Usher did his thing & I found myself with that same silly face that LIke I needed to work it out urgently SO PROPS!
I admit…I genuinely didn’t realise, recognise and/or appreciate how talented this man is. A while back, I saw his “take” on Marvin Gaye’s - Mercy, Mercy Me/What’s Going On…and thought “alright, ok”. This adaptation of a Stevie Wonder classic and a fan favourite ticks the boxes for me. Great, great work and the musicians deliver…no question! 👏👏👏
Rest in peace, Aaron you are truly missed you slayed on those drums with this cover.
RIP and Respecc. ✊✊✊

News flash! it doesn't have to be like Stevie's boo boo🤔😒🥱😂😂😂
She doesn’t uses love to make him weak. She uses love to make him strong
He did a great job so people need to give usher some credit. Damn. Nothing is better than the original but at least he could sing the song without messing up. What artist could sing a song like this? Exactly no one.
Usher just CRUSHES this version. Stevie Wonder is on Mt Rushmore, but Usher does this song justice.
He sung this song PERFECTLY
Didn’t he?
Not as perfectly as Stevie though
This was perfect for Usher to sing!!! Everyone can't sing a Stevie Wonder song!
True man don’t let me get started who tried 🤦🏿♂️🤣🤣
I agree!!
And what she doesn’t realize is that I listen too every word… ❤❤❤❤
I hate it when people say usher needs to stick with soft melody r&b songs...he is a artist that branches out...which makes a complete artist...my opinion of course
Usher killed this!! one of the great male voices of our generation. Band was on fire too!!
This was a hell of a cover of this song. This song blends well with his voice. Stevie would be very proud of him.
I love seeing artists giving respect to the artists that paved the way for them.
Can't wait to see Usher cover a Michael Jackson song.

I like Stevie Wonder, but i also like Usher. He really rocked it.
Good cover. He loves Stevie. Anyone mad at Usher for covering one of his heros is crazy.
He exposed tons of people to a song they probably didn't know. That was his goal. Stevie is a legend. Usher knows. He wants his audience to know as well

Me too and I love the song and I love the drummer Aaron Spears. BUT - I don't really love this performance, don't know why tho.
I grew up with Stevie's music and have always been a fan. Since hearing Usher sing in the mid '90's, I know I have loved his voice too. Its nice to hear him actually sing without having to run around a giant stage doing synchronized dance and running out of breath
Harry D. Amen!

However he does t best
You're, right. However he's not a vocalist, he's an all around entertainer. That's coming from his #1 fan 🤷🏾♀️
OMG! Wow, he did it!! Such an honor to Stevie!

EXCELLENT COVER. AND DOING STEVIE AIN'T EASY. BRAVO!

I love usher's version just as much as stevie's original version. he sings it just as good and doesn't change it at all!
I love Stevey Wonder & "That Girl" is one of my favorite songs by The magical Mr. Wonder but I got to give mad props to Usher.
