I'm absolutely gutted I couldn't get my delivery read and watched so much on this tent I was really looking forward to getting away.
Customer Service was extremely good even though I was a pain calling a few times before delivery.Three of my friends all have different types and the ventura they all say is the best.
We had a little trouble with the third party delivery witch usually wouldn't be a problem and it was a bank holiday. This is the reason i had to ask to stop the delivery within 1 minute William had a full refund and an apology he never had to give as it was a mix up.I got an email explaining how to assemble that looked really straight forward both William and Charlotte where happy to help if you got stuck.
I'm gutted about this my friend would recommend this as the materials used are much better than you would expect with such a low price.
Hopefully one day I get to own mines.Damion

We have the extended deluxe , used it all last summer and in all conditions on the NC500 and its an amazing piece of kit , quite right to say that the price does not reflect the quality , nothing wrong with it at all and would highly recommend this

Nice one Andy. It’s because of you I have one of these! One issue I had was with the bolts that slide into the channel for the mounting brackets. The heads were not big enough to be held by the channel. They turned when trying to tighten them. I swapped mine out for slightly bigger ones. Also the bolts that held the channels to the base were too long. This prevented the bigger bolts from sliding past the smaller ones. Nice bit of pan action too. The new toy is obviously working well. Atb. Paul.

Hi, firstly I have to say we’re watching all of your episodes (including the back catalogue and we watch when getting our youngest children off to sleep at night. They absolutely love your channel and have even started building pretend fires in the format that you do when we’re at the park 😂. We/they also love Simon and they never go to sleep when you’re both camping together hahahaha
I’ve recently acquired an X Trail that I want to start to build into an over lander for some weekends away. It’s nothing special, an 05 4WD but it’s mechanically in very good condition. Looking at Roof tents, the prices range from sensible to expensive (as with all items). The Ventura is circa £750-£800 vs other prices of £1600-£2000.
Taking that quality and waterproofing should meet standards, how do they manage to price as cheap as they do. Are there evident compromises or bad points and would you recommend this as a starter or should I look for a pre loved better model.
Thanks in advance…keep up the great channel…Paul

Used to have an Iron Man 4x4 Rooftop tent on my Fortuner , very nice still have the tent not got the vehicle anymore but thinking of getting another suv soon .Top tip make sure it's properly staked out , i didnt and eneded up being the filling for a roof top tent sandwich , the wind was strong enough to fold the tent back on itself with me in it ...!!! :)

Great review relatively short but thorough and informative. Only thing I noticed was the sizes you gave which sounded like the packed size 150cm is only about 5ft? I really loved the idea of the cargo net for boots etc. Any chance you have a link for that or even just the size you've found fits best? Cheers.

Hi - I am considering getting a Ventura roof top tent and was wondering how much bedding etc. you can leave inside when you fold it away? I’m considering getting an additional mattress topper to make it more comfortable but don’t want to have to take it in and out every time I set up and pack away. Thanks!

One of my favourite methods of camping I've seen you use. You also look very content and comfortable in there too. I hope Ventura takes on board your tweaks as these could be part of the manufacturing process to add structural longevity, easy of use and practicability of the roof tent. Happy camping Andy, take care pal.

Run a hard shell Maggiolina Airtop myself on the Jeep, mainly as it takes a battering off road and there is no flappy bits that keep you up all night in high winds, it gets high use so went for the quality unit and very happy. But it is 4 times the price. Certainly looks good value for the Ventura, might op for one on my second more occasional use Jeep. Great review 👍

Selecting the way to mount this type of tent must depend, for most people, on the style of truck they already have. Your reasons for the bed mount are compelling. BY THE WAY: THANKS to you and SIMON, I have come to appreciate the line of OPINEL folding cutting implements. I purchased a round-tipped 'child's first knife' for each of my young grandchildren. I had to purchase one for myself to 'be sure' of their suitability. I now have sizes 6, 7, and 8 of their folding knives, including a folding vegetable peeler. The twisting ring locking mechanism is 'Genius!'

ah nice one.. i do love my opinels.. simon turned me on to them as camp kitchen knifes.. the peeler is great too :) cant beat a tried and tested old design.

@@kentsurvivalgearreview586 I have always LOVED your videos on single/two-person woodcraft equipment. Opinel kit is a fine example. I purchased an oval cast iron pan and lifter after seeing you demonstrate its perfect utility for cooking a good breakfast and making a fine beefsteak.
