The end of June was an unfortunate time for my friend Dory who lost her dog in a tragic way. Her little buddy Abbey was her everything. If you've been subscribed for a while you may remember my friend from when she had to have surgery and I shared her fundraiser. It hurts me to see that someone so wonderful and kind has to go through so much suffering. And anyone who has ever lost a pet knows that the vet bills you're left with very much feel like being kicked while you're down, especially while you're struggling to get by anyway. She spent every penny she had trying to save her best friend and borrowed money, but it was too late.
