I marvel that KRLD carried live reports of the motorcade itself, yet the first bulletins of the assassination came from CBS in New York via the wire services. --SJR

It seems there was no local coverage after KRLD lost sight of the motorcade as indicated here.

The first bulletin was censored by Jackson.

What a disgrace @8:25 referring to an African-American boy (surnamed "Eunice"[sp]) as a "colored" boy!!! Such insolence!!! WTF!!!??? BTW. I'm Caucasian.

Grow-up...Did they refer to WHITE BOYS AS CAUCASIAN BOYS...NO...THEY REFER TO WHITE'S AS WHITE AND BLACK AS BLACKS or Colored which in and of itself is not offensive or intended to be...this is radio where the reporter and or person describing the scene is painting a picture in the audiences mind's eye of what the environment and circumstances appear to be visually....There was nothing condescending or offensive it was a factual descriptive....and who are you to question how a person articulates or words used in describing a scene??? WOKE hit's a JFK historical radio broadcast is not surprising but it is a sad commentary on the state of affairs in today's America....an America that is polar opposite than the one which the civil Rights Activist of the 60s PEACEFULLY, LAWFULLY PROTESTED for America as a whole to be....but today, it is the antithesis of their DREAM...and those who spew comments such as yours without considering any context facilitate the growing nightmare of what was to be a wonderful dream for all people....
Please understand when you listen, read, hear or learn about history you CAN NOT VIEW THROUGH A VACUUM OR IN A VACUUM more accurately stated....you must use the context of the time period....Blacks were also referred to as "Negro's"...which is NOT DERAGOTORY IT IS AN ESTABLISHED TERM FOR OR DESCRIPTIVE OF A PARTICULAR COLOR...AGAIN, WHITE'S WERE NOT REFERRED TO AS EUROPEAN CAUCASIANS OR WHITE ANGLO-SAXON PROTESTANT THEY ARE REFFERED TO AS WHITE...NEGRO IS A DESCRIPTIVE SAME AS WHITE IS....using the term boy is not derogatory in this context...MY GOODNESS GROW A PAIR OR GO BACK TO YOUR BASEMENT AND STARE AT ALL OF YOUR PARTICIPATION TROPHIES...GEEZ....SHOCKING THAT IS WHAT YOU TOOK FROM THIS....
