I was a criminal for 20 years, and one thing I've learned is, once they got you, they got you. All that running your mouth and struggling after the arrest does nothing but get you a rough ride to the station and your phone call forgotten. If you go easy, they go easy. Cops understand this is a game too, as long as you're not a sore loser, most of them soften up a lot once the cuffs are on. Don't get me wrong, some cops are dicks all the way around, but most of them are normal dudes doin a job.

The first cop telling the guy to " stop it" sounded like a girl flirting at the bar.

He didn't have her wallet, he was trying to have the police give her HIS wallet but they said that since it was his it has to be taken to jail with him. He probably had drugs in it.
@@amandageyman8033 not necessarily, by the looks of it they have a no contact order so he's probably incredibly controlling, financial abuse is common.
They were originally walking side by side together on US RT.1 when the officer first saw them. When he caught up with them the guy tried speeding up to be out in front of her a ways. He's trying to justify being next to her by saying he wasn't talking to her or making contact with her. Since he has a "no contact" order against him from her. But that's not her wallet it's his but he didn't want the cops to "inventory" his wallet & what's inside of it. Probably because he has something that is illegal in it.

He literally took a minor violation and turned it into felonies. Literally snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Imagine if he's said "yes officer, here is my PO name BUT how about I walk the other way and never see her again?" Maybe that might have worked, maybe the officer would have left it alone but nope!

Every news article I'd read about this first guy highlights the fact that he's screaming abuse at the officer who saved his life, and he's previously been convicted of burglary and assault on a PO so yeah he's just a massive POS and that officer definitely shouldn't have saved him that night
You don't know your rights because when a officer asks for your name or ID during a investigation and you say no you broke the law and now they can and will arrest you
not entirely true, it depends on where you live.

Those orders aren't restraining orders that you think of. They're no contact orders which don't necessarily need the consent of the other party. For instance, a judge could issue one against two neighbors telling them that neither could speak to each other. Chances are, Raymond acts like an asshole every time his gf is there, ergo, they are trying to tell him, legally, that their relationship is getting him into serious trouble.

@@fieryhotwarts its also got alot to do with how callouts go out on radio if they call for backup every cop drops what their doing and rushes over but when the all clear goes out it doesnt go over open channels and can take time to pass around so people will be showing up to the call still not receiving the all clear just yet

Here in any the judges got sick of women taking out an RO Friday night and dropping it Monday morning so now when they come in and try to drop it, he tells them no and gives them a minimum of 6 months non contact. Then women would get back with the dude and see them anyways and the 1st fight they have she has the power to say, “there’s a no contact order arrest him” and it all came down to the original suspect even if the victim trapped them. Now if they get caught together, our cops arrest both and they both get $10,000 bail for felony contempt of court.
