None of the steps for pamac vala-panel worked on vanilla Arch using XFCE DE. I even tried with yay and still no luck. vala-panel-appmenu-xfce-git asks for appmenu-glib-translator but then it gets in conflict with vala-panel-appmenu-common-git and you have to end up removing everything. It's a good thing I always back up my system and reverted back to the snapshot created before starting with this mess.
