      and yes we already got the first Sighn's and attacks against Rescue , Firefighters and Police are rising since Years... 🥺
      so I can compare it, I'm agree...

      since 2015 we have here Stitch and Bulletproof West's at our Ambulance Cars... in Germany and of course instant help by the Police, if we need, this delays our Time reach the Place/ Patient by max 10 Minutes...

      @@jenskunze4536 this is one of the best run public ambulance services in the country. In other parts it can take six hours to get a public ambulance. Or 100-1000 euro for a private one, much more for helicopter.
      For those who can’t afford it, the morgue picks up the shortfall.

    Paramedics deserves a raise, they should be paid as much as Doctors.

      They should be paid the same salary we gave the springbok players. It's pathetic that we glorify sportsmen for kicking a ball but we treat our healthcare workers like trash

    We need a police force that will be dedicated to work in such conditions not SAPS. SAPS is for Certifying and RAF because they carry guns but scared to go to such places.

    I think that education and providing jobs are a must in those so called "Red zones". If you can provide for your family and have enough electricity to light the area's, crime will be lower.

    It is so unfortunate that people must go through that. It is also 100% up to the community. The community can get together and say no more. But that requires some people with a strong backbone and morals.

    Nig props to the paramedics in SA. A thankless job to a large extent, and with the violent crime here in SA, I can only imagine the type of things they must see. They should be paid far more than they are, because I think very few people would be able to cope under these conditions.
    What's so annoying is the same communities that complain non-stop about how "Cape Town only provides services to the rich", are the same communities that attack the people doing their job.

    My friend is a medic he got robbed at gun point at a scene he has even been shot at while trying to get to a patient. He now has to use a bulletproof vest under his work clothing n now carries a firearm.

    Just dnt offer service in those areas. the community needs to decide if they are protecting the gangs or want to make the communities a better place. I lived in these red zones and the community loves the gangsters because they get food parcels from the gangs

    20 years ago they used to open up the way for us and even attending shootings we felt reasonably safe. The chivalrous respect that ambulances got was heartwarming in that I remember people going out of their way to assist. What’s happened to make this generation so violent? 🇿🇦🇿🇦

    Sad what the world is turning into, these paramedics are doing such an important job in saving lives by risking their own and people should respect them for that. I take my hat off to these selfless people.

      The 11 zones are: Browns Farm in Philippi, Tafelsig, Hyden Park, Nyanga, Gugulethu, New Crossroads, Manenberg, Hanover Park, Kalksteenfontein, Site C in Khayelitsha and J-Section in Lingelethu West.
      Added to the list now are Beacon Valley, Rocklands, Heideveld and Chicago in Paarl. Making a total of 15.

    We'll pay and support SA rugby and other sports players thousands of not millions to kick a ball for entertainment. Yet people don't care a hoot for healthcare workers who save lives and make meaningful contributions to society

    Please investigate Fidelity Security who are using green response lights illegally. These are reserved for disaster response vehicles. By using them they are associated green lights with security thereby endangering emergency personnel by association.

    When their love ones die they want to complain and say "the ambulance took so long to get here",when their own people are to blame.you have to be a special pos to rob and assault people who wants to save your community.the criminal element in cpt never ceases to amaze me😑

    Red zones in cape town can be ready off hand out paramedics fear for their lives everyday we have back logs of emergencies over worked staff but our metro ambulance staff get hurt and for what? For nothing

      Cops are run by ANC government, not DA. Of course they are going to make sure that WC SAPS are understaffed and undertrained. It serves their interests to give their opposition a harder time to maintain rule of law.
