SNOW! YUK! I'm not a cold weather guy these days living here in Northern Michigan. Looking forward to heading south for a change of life.
As far as the rod holders behind the seat, not a big fan. Too much twisting for me, not as limber as I used to be. Never understood the behind the seat rod holders except for stowage. Much rather have them in front of the seat, I know... crazy!
Love the Passport, helped a friend of mine choose a yak and she ended up with the 10.5. I have the Jackson Bite FD with the E-Drive because I have some physical challenges. It is a tank and so heavy I ended up building out a trailer for it. Now I am considering a Hobie because they are MUCH lighter but I am going to need propulsion.
    Thanks for the video!

Thanks again for the comments Doc!
I appreciate your climate comments too! Although, at the moment, it is odd to see 50-60F in early-March in Wisconsin. In regard to rod holders, I would only recommend putting them behind you if it is comfortable. In the Passport, note that I'm placing them about 5" forward of the two rod holders that come standard with the kayak. It places them near your elbows. If you find it easy enough to reach the standard rod holders that come with the kayak, you should find these even easier to access. But, if not, flexibility could make this a challenge. I love it because the deck in front of me is SO OPEN; open to netting a big fish, open to view in front of me, open to get back into the kayak should I find the myself not in it.
      Best regards!
