    I have to say that was the most fun I have had doing a blender tutorial! I tried your shoes a long time ago and they kicked my butt. Learned a ton from this one and will go over it a couple more times. I will start my render tonight before bed and hopefully it wont take forever. lol I have not done blender since the new computer build. Thanks for these amazing tutorials. They give me hope that one day my own projects can come to life.

    This is great. I'm getting a bit lost with tracking stuff. "Cause I have the brain of a gnat. But the cool thing here is the parenting relationship you have between the empty's an the objects they control. I definitely think there's a tutorial there somewhere... "hyper-duper empty and object controlling" - so you get used to it. You have no need to touch those objects only the empty's once set up.

    You have a video with a yellow cloth and a red logo. Could you show how you made the paint effect (from the logo) on the fabric?

    • @DerekElliott
      @DerekElliott  11 месяцев назад

      Yes I need to look back in to it but there is a way you can use a map to block out particle density to make the logo not have fuzz if that's what you're talking about

    • @artistpainting
      @artistpainting 11 месяцев назад

      @@DerekElliottYes, that's what I'm talking about.
      -You have the effect that the logo has a thickness and at the same time, the structure of the fabric is visible under the logo.
      -And there are no particles on the logo. These are the two things I would like to see.
      Unfortunately, I didn't see in the tutorial how you uv map the sticker2tone.png and sticker2tone_outline.png pictures on the mesh. And how you turn off the particles on the logo.

    What do you think about Photogrammetry, for shoes among other things, I saw a tutorial on flippednormals > Create a realistic Adidas shoe in Blender, the level of realism left me perplexed. as well as your projects.
    But in the end, what do you think of this process? It is worth it?

    • @DerekElliott
      @DerekElliott  11 месяцев назад +1

      For certain use cases and fidelity requirements photogrammetry is fantastic. That being said I don't use it much yet

    27:00 when you do the cut outs: how does they stay in place? Due to the „cutter“ object is not parented, i hove the problem, that my cut outs won't move together with the cam. (I now did parent them to the „Camcontroll“ and this works … but somehow you made that without parenting. But how?)

    Why do you use less samples for final rendering than viewport rendering? It is flickering.

    • @DerekElliott
      @DerekElliott  11 месяцев назад

      I wasn't really concerned with this one being very nice. Also I think some of the flickering is an error with the emission

      To fill it back just select the vertex not the face

    Thank you for the time to put this together. Please remember you are an expert and we (or maybe just me) are not, what is so natural for you is not for us. There are several steps you skip over and don't explain. At 1:36 of the video you bring back the face after duplication but did not explain how to do that (fill the face back in). I am already stopped in this video.
