I have to say that was the most fun I have had doing a blender tutorial! I tried your shoes a long time ago and they kicked my butt. Learned a ton from this one and will go over it a couple more times. I will start my render tonight before bed and hopefully it wont take forever. lol I have not done blender since the new computer build. Thanks for these amazing tutorials. They give me hope that one day my own projects can come to life.
Great tutorial, thank you. Little time-saver, you can now Shade Auto Smooth on right click with out the extra step of going to the object data properties and enabling Auto Smooth.
This is great. I'm getting a bit lost with tracking stuff. "Cause I have the brain of a gnat. But the cool thing here is the parenting relationship you have between the empty's an the objects they control. I definitely think there's a tutorial there somewhere... "hyper-duper empty and object controlling" - so you get used to it. You have no need to touch those objects only the empty's once set up.
Yes I need to look back in to it but there is a way you can use a map to block out particle density to make the logo not have fuzz if that's what you're talking about
@@DerekElliottYes, that's what I'm talking about. -You have the effect that the logo has a thickness and at the same time, the structure of the fabric is visible under the logo. -And there are no particles on the logo. These are the two things I would like to see. Unfortunately, I didn't see in the tutorial how you uv map the sticker2tone.png and sticker2tone_outline.png pictures on the mesh. And how you turn off the particles on the logo.
Loved this so much.....can you please do a video on how to model the apple watch series 8 ultra for a product animation. I'm sure everyone would benefit from it. Thane a lot. Cheers
What do you think about Photogrammetry, for shoes among other things, I saw a tutorial on flippednormals > Create a realistic Adidas shoe in Blender, the level of realism left me perplexed. as well as your projects. But in the end, what do you think of this process? It is worth it?
Nice! A Derket Video ♥ You inspire me to keep learning and I hope some day I can earn some money with 3d. I really enjoy this! Your videos Are the best!!! Top Quality! ♥ Greetings from Argentina
27:00 when you do the cut outs: how does they stay in place? Due to the „cutter“ object is not parented, i hove the problem, that my cut outs won't move together with the cam. (I now did parent them to the „Camcontroll“ and this works … but somehow you made that without parenting. But how?)
For some reason, I don't have the modifiers option in the side panel for the graph editor. Is anyone else missing this? My side panel just has an option to show cursor. Can't find anywhere how to get this option.
Thank you for the time to put this together. Please remember you are an expert and we (or maybe just me) are not, what is so natural for you is not for us. There are several steps you skip over and don't explain. At 1:36 of the video you bring back the face after duplication but did not explain how to do that (fill the face back in). I am already stopped in this video.
Sorry but thanks to RUclips´s aniti-addblock shenanigans I no longer can watch your videos. I´m not willing to give up my privacy, when YT decides to turn away from their greedyness I will come back watching. I will stay as sub though.
remember kids...Derrk once said LATER IS NOW
I really appreciate the time and effort you put into your tutorials and have them available for FREE. They’re super helpful. Thank you.
The method of lighting the scene is impressive
thank you a lot with this tutorial, clear and simple explanations and i was able to follow from A to Z the process without fail !!!
You'll forever be the GOAT for all these amazing tutorials
Great pleasure to hear you!

The goat has uploaded again!
Default cube feels good
Dang Derek back with another one. Been too long! Can't wait to follow this one after work today.
21:00 that's a really nice trick for camera animation
Great tutorial, thank you. Little time-saver, you can now Shade Auto Smooth on right click with out the extra step of going to the object data properties and enabling Auto Smooth.
You are correct about that. I actually have it bound to a quick favorite too
Derek! So much respect for your channel. Nice tutorial!
Very informative tutorial as always! Thanks!
Many Thanks, Derek, you are Awesome!!
Thanks so dearly for always sharing
Amazing tutorial as always ❤
Learned a lot 🔥

Amazing, Thank you for the tutorial. Hope you do a tutorial with octane render 😍
I have not tried using octane for blender yet but could be cool.
Thanks

Using the default cube?! Heresy!
Derek can u add the Screencast Keys. I generaly understand what u do but sometimes i dont . such as shaping the walls
Yes please, the headphones was way easier to follow.

GOATED
wow~! thx good Tutotial~!
The goat
sooo coool Sir
29:28 bro got flash backs XD
You have a video with a yellow cloth and a red logo. Could you show how you made the paint effect (from the logo) on the fabric?
Yes I need to look back in to it but there is a way you can use a map to block out particle density to make the logo not have fuzz if that's what you're talking about

If you could enable key display next time that would be fantastic 🤗

For certain use cases and fidelity requirements photogrammetry is fantastic. That being said I don't use it much yet
@@DerekElliott cool

31:45 How did you fill these edges? Please make the Screencast Keys!🙏🙏🙏
Nice❤
Such a quick responsive viewport in cycles! Have you updated your Graphic Card? Is it still RTX3060?
I never had a 30 60. Right now I'm using a 4090
Please whats IS your configuration of your computer
nice
but ior give me reflection it give same Same result with ior 1 not 1.45
why ?
👍 merci , better in Blender & English 😊

Ah … 35:10 … got'ya! ;)
derek help me out pls. i see the lines in my empty and when i place light i can see that in my veiw port in the camera its annoying
25:50 How did you do it?
could you give me your spec PC? render realtime so fast
Why do you use less samples for final rendering than viewport rendering? It is flickering.
I wasn't really concerned with this one being very nice. Also I think some of the flickering is an error with the emission
I don't know how to fill the shell material with its duplicate.. What shortcut did you use? (Perhaps this is not for beginner?)
I'm sorry I'm not sure I understand
27:00 , when you pull the scaled cube up, it cuts the thingy in the middle but for whatever reason it does not do the same for me
I dont know if t hat seems to be the reason why it works now but after selecting the pivot point to median point it works
Interesting. I'm glad you figured it out
How did you select the deleted face at 1:35 to fill it back in?? Did I deleted the face in the wrong way?
To fill it back just select the vertex not the face
I think the selection I made was on a new object. If you need to you can select four vertices and press F to create a new face
how do you get that grainy look on your rendered view? my wall looks so bland D:
I don't think I added any texture to it, but you could use a simple noise texture to add a little bit of a dimpled plaster look
For some reason, I don't have the modifiers option in the side panel for the graph editor. Is anyone else missing this? My side panel just has an option to show cursor. Can't find anywhere how to get this option.
Nevermind. I needed to have the curve selected. 😐
Sometimes it will disappear and you can press N to bring it back up I believe.
Ooooo
