I think the narrow front screen is a great. It does what it needs to for quick text or checking some apps but it makes you open up to the big screen, which is the point kinda like the flip. I do agree with a slot for the spen!
Facts! The screen size is nice. It makes u want to open the phone when chilling or on leisure time. When I tried the pixel fold I hardly opened it up because the front screen was wide. Samsung is doing it right.

Completely agree. But having held the ZF6 after rocking the 4 for 2 years .... I like what changes they did make. Thinner and lighter is much appreciated! But how much thicker would it really make the device to add the pen :( heck maybe they can also add a bigger battery while they're at it.

I totally get what he said about 'once a Note user, always a Note user'. To this day when it comes to utility features I see the Galaxy Note 4 as the most complete smartphone ever put on the consumer market. I can only imagine what an astounding device the Z Fold could be if Samsung added all the features the Note 4 had.
I like the size of the front screen, does everything you need it to, it's a perfect size for most people... agree with needing a pen slot. Samsung please make a Z6 Ultra to cater for those who would like bigger screens, better cameras, and Battery 👌
The ultra they are releasing won't have s pen support at all. The thickness of the phone mainly comes from the spen components taking up alot of room. Samsung also wont use the new Chinese battery technology yet because it has swelling and reliability issues. People don't understand the technology that goes into making something smaller. It's not just a minor change. China can pull it off because they can cut corners and basically have free labor. If china were to do everything by the book, their phones would be 3k or more. Also those phones won't last long especially after a few accidents or drops which the chinese companies don't care much about reliability, it's why samsung made a statement by offering 7 years of updates because they know the chinese brands hardware will not hold up as long in the reliability department.
5:20 100%, if they didn't up the price, and put the S24U cameras, S pen, and wider front display, it'd be the king. What they should do, is put all that on the "fold ultra" make the ultra the $1800 and bring the normal fold down to like $1500

If it folded wide like that it would be a lot less usable for productivity and multitasking. I think they can go a touch wider, but not so much that it isn't very easy to use two handed. The ergonomics for productivity is 🤌 chefs kiss.
The Samsung exclusive colors of the Z Fold 5 were better than the ones on the 6 this year imo. I got the Crafted black one and its nice but I like that two tone blue and black and the white and black from last year.
I am using the fold 6 now and honestly, this is the perfect size folded and unfolded for me and my small hands. I always wanted the ultra but i cannot even hold it right because of how wide and large it is. The fold fixed all of those issues for me, small and big enough front with great functionality and if i need more screen space, BOOM unfolds to a small tablet 🎉
What separates each device is the audacity Samsung has to increase the price while offering very very little to no improvements between each phone. That's the difference.
The silver version is even better because the color silver doesn't absorb the heat like the dark colored phones that will absorb the heat other than the white one, I know they got a cooling chamber going on, but the one that won't heat up that you can play the longest is the silver one.
Great review. I'm holding on to my Z FOLD 5. I don't plan to upgrade until there is an Ultra Fold edition with flagship cameras, bigger battery, and an S Pen compatible outer screen.
Reports say that in October Samsung might release a Z Fold Ultra that's thinner AND has a front display the size of the S 24 Ultra! If that's true I really hope its released in the US.
I really like the slimmer outer screen, easier to handle one handed and makes you want to open up to the inner screen, which is the reason some ppl buy it..
i think samsung can absolutely do those changes - s pen integrated + wider folded width, but holding back so they can upgrade something on the next model

I think we need to appreciate the thiner outer display. I thought I wanted the wider until I had the pixel fold. I realized one hand use was way better on Samsung and it feels better in the hand and talking on the phone. So I prefer the narrow.

Me and my wife are on our 2nd iPhone and we like them a lot and are now in the eco system with the apple watch, macbook pro's and ipad...We now have the iphone 15 pro max's and we came from the 13 pro max. We finally gave in because the majority of our family members are on IOS so we tried it and we are pretty sure we are NEVER going back..

As a fold user since the 4, I really think the 6 is the perfect form factor. I dont want a wider cover display than this. I want a one handed phone and a tablet when I need it. Obviously a lot of people dont agree and point to the Mix Fold 4 or One Plus but honestly I dont want every foldable to become carbon copies of each other. Variety is good.
Messed with the in-store demo and really liked it. My biggest gripe was how the spen does not live with in the phone body and the sketch on image kept throwing errors (AI). It feels great in the hand though!
They are ready. I had my fold3 for 3 years.. no case, no screen protector. Dropped on patio tiles and stuff, never broke. I literally just sold it an hour ago, got a OnePlus Open because Samsung is getting lazy with their cameras

I've been a Samsung user since the Samsung Epic and usually haven't skipped generations but after the Note20 Ultra i couldn't make the jump to the Fold cause the specs don't justify the price point and this Fold 6 just not it is really just 2 S23's together. Had the cameras already been upgraded to S22 Ultra standards with a bigger battery i would've pulled the trigger.

What you're describing is a Fold Ultra. But for people like me, keep the width, make it thinner and S Pen support on the cover display that's it. And just name it the standard Z Fold. An Ultra Fold sounds cool but I'm looking for one hand functionality and portability.
S series wont suffer as such. The majority of the buyers don't even use the pen. Are you buying the Ultra because of an S Pen? If there was an S24 Ultra version with a bigger battery over an S pen folks with flock to the big battery option.
Pen storage isn't making Ultra users stick to their device over the Fold, these devices are usually sub $2k devices ppl who are avid Ultra users don't want to spend that no matter what.

whatever you are wishing for is already on the market with xiaomi mix, oppo open n3/oneplus open and vivo xfold 3 pro...... notable machines are huawei and honor folds too minus the stylus but they already offer: 1) wider outer screen 2) flagship cameras 3) excellent build quality.
Can you make a video going over the process of converting your esim from one phone to another ? Can you only do it if you're setting up phone for the first time ? Or can you still do it if you're transferring between two phones that are already set up ?
I think the z fold 6 is the final form of the Z Fold and Z Flip series. They've been focusing on getting the phones to fold flat. Now that they've achieved this goal, they can focus on improving the tech. Making the phone thinner, etc. After the Fold series is perfected they'll probably move on to their rollable phone series. That will be interesting.
Great video as always but to be hoenst a lot of people wouldnt but this phone if it was a lot bigger on the front. Might as well actually just carry an ipad mini around if that was the case. Would be way to huge.

I have the S24 Ultra. If the foldable just added the better cameras, I would have probably switched by now. This new one looks nice though!
Also waiting for crafted black. It looks amazing. It's funny though that in KR, crafted black is perceived as for 'ahjussi' or older males (like 40s 50s) whereas in US, nobody really associatez colors with age xD
Once they include a S-Pen, I will give this some thought, until then, sticking with my S23 Ultra.

So I legit just got the Samsung s24 ultra I love it I had the zfold 4 so my question is should I trade my s24 ultra for the fold 6?
As a fold user since the 4, I really think the 6 is the perfect form factor. I dont want a wider cover display than this. I want a one handed phone and a tablet when I need it. Obviously a lot of people dont agree and point to the Mix Fold 4 or One Plus but honestly I dont want every foldable to become carbon copies of each other. Variety is good.
Messed with the in-store demo and really liked it. My biggest gripe was how the spen does not live with in the phone body and the sketch on image kept throwing errors (AI). It feels great in the hand though!

They are ready. I had my fold3 for 3 years.. no case, no screen protector. Dropped on patio tiles and stuff, never broke.
I literally just sold it an hour ago, got a OnePlus Open because Samsung is getting lazy with their cameras
Still unable to write on front/outter display with S PEN is my biggest con on new Z FOLD 6. Making and fast quick note to jotdown ideas without to open the flip sceen is a must, SAMSUNG
I've been a Samsung user since the Samsung Epic and usually haven't skipped generations but after the Note20 Ultra i couldn't make the jump to the Fold cause the specs don't justify the price point and this Fold 6 just not it is really just 2 S23's together. Had the cameras already been upgraded to S22 Ultra standards with a bigger battery i would've pulled the trigger.

What you're describing is a Fold Ultra. But for people like me, keep the width, make it thinner and S Pen support on the cover display that's it. And just name it the standard Z Fold.
An Ultra Fold sounds cool but I'm looking for one hand functionality and portability.

The lack of SPen makes me think they want to protect their true flagship phones. Kinda like Chevy protected the Corvette from the Camaro

S series wont suffer as such. The majority of the buyers don't even use the pen. Are you buying the Ultra because of an S Pen? If there was an S24 Ultra version with a bigger battery over an S pen folks with flock to the big battery option.
Pen storage isn't making Ultra users stick to their device over the Fold, these devices are usually sub $2k devices ppl who are avid Ultra users don't want to spend that no matter what.
@@jmbaka007if you want to use the phone In its entirety, dollar for dollar...yes you WOULD use the pen...otherwise getting the 24+ would be the phone you'd get if you dontcare for the pen.

You right it would be good. If it had a Spen inside the Z Fold 6. An a S24 Ultra Camara on the back of Galaxy Z Fold 6. But I like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6. It's Different and a New Fresh look and Clean.
I think you could be maybe a little bit wider than the pain but not much because I love the way it fits in your hand, since it is thicker its nice that its more narrow

I have the iPhone 15 Pro Max. I will be ordering the 16 Pro Max in September. I already purchased the Z Fold 6 as a supplementary device too. So far I'm very happy with it.
It's a nice phone but still have a crease. Don't like that crease, go One Plus.
I'm a zfold 5 user and man o man can this thing handle alot it has some dents and scratched everywhere I dropped it a few times and it hasn't broke yet I had a iphone 14 pro max and I dropped it once and it shattered I love this new phone it's amazing
whatever you are wishing for is already on the market with xiaomi mix, oppo open n3/oneplus open and vivo xfold 3 pro...... notable machines are huawei and honor folds too minus the stylus but they already offer: 1) wider outer screen 2) flagship cameras 3) excellent build quality.

Can you make a video going over the process of converting your esim from one phone to another ? Can you only do it if you're setting up phone for the first time ? Or can you still do it if you're transferring between two phones that are already set up ?
You can transfer e-sims anytime easily. I do it all the time via my carrier website

I think the z fold 6 is the final form of the Z Fold and Z Flip series. They've been focusing on getting the phones to fold flat. Now that they've achieved this goal, they can focus on improving the tech. Making the phone thinner, etc. After the Fold series is perfected they'll probably move on to their rollable phone series. That will be interesting.
Great video as always but to be hoenst a lot of people wouldnt but this phone if it was a lot bigger on the front. Might as well actually just carry an ipad mini around if that was the case. Would be way to huge.
