I have been studying ancient symbology for a while now and i think the swastica represents an energy vortex. Not just any energy vortex, mind you, but the Earth electromagnetic field. It is possible that ancient people of different cultures were aware of this protective energy field and chose to represent it in their art, but more importantly they understood the mathematical concept of a torus field. The Earth's EM field forms a torus and this is also represented in the Yin-Yang symbol.
I also think the reason we see clockwise and counter-clockwise swasticas is because the Earth's EM field has flipped polarities in the past, many times and we may see a representation of that field from the perspective of different human cycles separated by periodic cataclysms.
Anyway this is just a theory as i have no way of proving this.

Govan Old Parish church is well worth a visit if you go to Glasgow. An easy walk from Govan Underground and for me at least, a 'must see'.

The Swastika, was and to my knowledge , still is veiwed in the Hindu & Buddist traditions , as a fertility symbol .

And carbon dated to 1000 years before Plato defined the platonic table.

Most of the Scottish spheres are around 3 inches (7.6 cm) in diameter, with some examples 3.6 inches (9 cm diameter) and date from 3200 BC to 1500 BC. Some show beautiful craftsmanship and symmetry, others show artistic mastery, while some look rough, badly made, or unfinished. However, some of the better-preserved examples have diameters within one millimeter of each another. Most were all discovered within the vicinity of Neolithic monuments known as recumbent stone circles. The type of rock varies from easily carved sandstone and serpentine, to difficult, hard granite and quartzite. One of the most striking aspects of the spheres is the intricate geometry that appears to show the five Platonic Solids, a long time before Plato was born.

Thanks for the interesting info on this place being a place with a message of a past event, i hope you get this message, im from glasgow and have been coding these stones for a couple of weeks and it fits an event(like the Carrington event, but the big one!!!(flood)=wave,current...) that im kinda guided to. Anyways id love to share my findings with you and maybe catch up for a talk about the hidden language and how to translate it. Tony H
Very nice research there; I concur that it seems to fit with the broader evidence you've unearthed re: the Squatter Man Event!
Regarding Stradclud/Strathclyde; that's a culturally Welsh aka. Cymro-Lloegyro-Brythonic polity at least historically speaking, arguably not part of Pictland/Caledonia (early names for Scotland-the Picts, a Goidelic people if Professor John Bruce's work is accurate, are typically demarcated as having their boundary in the Forth-Clyde Valley-which was why the Romans used that fact to justify building the Antonine/Severan Wall between the Firths), but nonetheless very similar due to them most likely all emerging from Proto-Insular-Celtic as part of the Insular-Celtic Language Family (Goidelic & Welsh including Dialects of each of those two)-however the Northern Welsh of the Sub-Kingdom of Greater-Brigantia (Yr Hen Ogledd), extending to the Forth-Clyde Valley and including Stradclud, were very closely allied to the Picts as well as their fellow Cymry/Cumbrians and the Damnonii of Stradclud were perhaps the most closely Pict-aligned among all the Brigantic Tribes (at least for some time they were but possibly at other times the Votadini may've been closer).
Anyway, regardless, you've made a solid analysis of these amazing Stones and it's an utter disgrace that the others were destroyed by Industrial activity in the area as you mentioned-priceless artifacts containing ancient wisdom yet they were condemned to become LOST HISTORY! :( Progress forward can't continue to come at the expense of preservation of Heritage... Thank goodness that the Stones on display managed to avoid the sad fate of the others from that site.
