    Well done Nick. It's a clean machine. While other RUclips ham channels are arguing about whether or not they can use their Chinese HT's with quite illegal levels of harmonics, radiating all over other bands, you are designing and building extremely clean gear simply because that's how it's supposed to be done and it's something to be proud of, a very different and much better attitude for the ham radio hobby.

    Hi Nick, thank you for again a great video and congratulations with an excellent transmit chain.
    I’m a bit behind, but will catch-up early next year, hopefully with the same great result.
    Have a great Christmas and happy 2024.

      Thank you very much Gerard. Don't worry about not being as far on. One of the great things about homebrew is that it's your project and you can build it how you want and as fast or as leisurely as you want! To be honest this rig is taking me AGES because I'm pausing after every stage to make a video about it! In a way though it's like you're all joining me on the journey ... which is pretty cool. Thanks for your support. Have a great Christmas. 73, Nick

    Good to see your project taking shape and hear it transmitting. Thanks for this and all your videos, you must be a busy man and I appreciate the time and effort it takes to share and make videos. I know this is a busy and meaningful time of year for you and send my season's greetings to you and yours. Best Christmas 73, Ace G0ACE

    Hi Nick,
    Very interesting as usual. Looking forward to the driver/PA sections of the rig. What power level are you aiming for? Happy Christmas, Mike, EI6AU

    • @M0NTVHomebrewing
      @M0NTVHomebrewing  Год назад

      Thanks Mike! I'm still not completely decided on power output yet. I think I'm going for about 15-20W but with the ability to notch it down for QRP use. It all depends what transistor I settle on. Too much choice! Happy Christmas. 73, Nick

    Where can I find schematics for the bi-directional IF amplifiers? I’m not exactly sure what I should use

    • @M0NTVHomebrewing
      @M0NTVHomebrewing  Год назад

      Hi Justin, I put the link to Wes & Bob's original paper in the description for the 'IF Amplifiers' video but in any case it is here: w7zoi.net/bidirectional_matched_amplifier.pdf
      Hope this helps. Thanks for watching and Happy Christmas! 73, Nick
