    I was watching your new Q&A earlier and then was watching this series (bc I actually never have despite watching you like every day while I work!) and remembered you saying:
    alexa: "I cant ever see myself hiring and editor because a lot of my humor comes out in my editing"
    and then seeing your cut of "I'm filming you from another angle in case you wanna you wanna cut away" and then the few seconds of silence before the next clip ABSOLUTELY KILLED ME!!! hahahahah It was literally *chefs kiss*
    bc I feel like unless you've worked in content creation as well -- when people watch youtube videos they forget that the person they are seeing in the video is often the person who is rewatching and making the edit and so knowing you were sitting there and rewatching yourself upset and then making a joke of it was absolutely savage (in the best way!!!)
    that being said -- you have every reason to be so stressed!! I am so glad you ended up where you are now and it's so fun rewatching old videos from where you started :)

    I was waiting until I got to the end of the video to comment and I am SO HAPPY you are seriously considering the renovated apartment. I did the exact same thing three years ago - there was an apartment in the East Village that was the perfect location & price for me, but it was extremely outdated (and the old tenants were MESSY in a very gross way). The landlord told me they planned to completely renovate it. I toured the place while the old tenants were still living there, which made it so hard to picture what it would look like post-reno, but I took a chance and signed the lease anyway. It turned out BEAUTIFUL, and I didn’t feel like I was living in the old tenants’ filth because everything was so new (new sink, fridge, stove, cabinets, tub…). The landlord worked with me to make it exactly how I wanted (I even got a say in the new kitchen layout/where to place the fridge). It was a risk but SO worth it. You’ll be able to get your perfect apartment at the perfect location and price because you took a chance. 💖

      omg this makes me feel so good about the renovation! i am thinking it is going to be the right thing for me too. and how often do you get a brand new apartment in nyc? i need to take a chance!

    Omg i died when your bf was like “I’m filming a different angle incase you want to cut away”. That was gold 😂 but my goodness this is causing so much stress you must be so excited for when you finally find an apartment 🤞🏼

    I had a small hysterical chuckle when I read apartment 15. Not in a bad way. Like in a way thinking what is going on. I'm so sorry you had to go through that. Sending warm wishes your way for future easiness.

    So I have been keeping up with your apartment search bc I looove nyc apartment hunting videos.. I live in a 400 sqft studio (in louisiana) but it has a nyc layout. This has been very stressful to watch lol but I’m excited to see how they renovate the apartment you chose. Those stairs are gonna kill you, especially when its time to bring up groceries (I go up 4 flights of stairs) .. what I really wanted to point out though was the fact that there is no laundry in building, get a PORTABLE WASHING MACHINE AND DRYER.. I have both from magic chef and love them! Saves money and you don’t have the hassle of finding a good laundromat, gathering a weeks worth of clothes to truck downstairs or getting coins all the time. Good Luck ✨

      omg thank you for the recommendation. I am looking into that portable washing machine right now! i think I am going to need that 😅

      @@alexiseldredge yasss it’s a must have for those of us without hookups and you can wash a decent amount of clothes.. home depot and walmart are selling them the cheapest rn.. but shop around for sure. A lot of ppl have discovered portable laundry machines and since covid the pricing is jacked but I’m sure you can still find a decent deal!

    I would go with the renovated one because at least you know everything will be new.

    8:09 why is being too close to midtown a bad thing? isn't midtown one of the most highly desirable areas to live?

    • @alexiseldredge
      @alexiseldredge  2 года назад

    I thought the situation in London was bad … to be fair after watching this video I’m shocked by the poor quality of the interiors absolutely horrible the apartments in Manhattan. I guess I’m order to live in a decent apartment in Manhattan you have to have a healthy budget probably $3000 per month

    • @alexiseldredge
      @alexiseldredge  2 года назад +2

      yeah some apartments are over 2500 and there are holes in walls and the kitchen is just a microwave...and it is probably a 6 floor walk up too 😂 IT IS INSANE how bad some are. i dream of the day i can afford a nice luxury apartment haha or at least one with laundry in unit 😅
