I've actually got a neat interpretation of this. Xenophanes existed before his FNF mod came out, and it was likely he found out he could use it to take in more victims. It was never about being in an FNF mod, it was just another game to lure people in, albeit one he wasn't all that familiar with. Plus, Xeno enjoyed being in the spotlight. But as time went on and his mod was cancelled...he was forgotten in favor of his other iterations. Vs. Sonic.EXE was one of the only things left bringing Xeno fame, and when that was gone not many people really looked at him anymore. So he got rid of the main FNF cast out of spite.
It kind of make sense for sonic to be singing this, let alone saying Brooklyn guys lyrics. Theres alot of other mods out there that are kind of taking Xenophane/Sonic.exes spotlight, and since the mod is cancelled, hes most what forgotten. I havent seen Xenophanes in a while. Anyways, good cover, keep it up!

You know what I love about this? Is that you can still hear a bit of sonics voice in Zeno’s vocals, it’s a headcanon for me that bf grew up playing sonic, and hearing his voice before being killed by him is something else.

I know there's probably actual lore for this, but here's my interpretation. Fanon Xenophanes (Xeno) was in his prime. He had successfully brought the name of Sonic.exe back into the minds and fears of a new generation, with the aid of his comrades that he'd enlisted along the way. But then it all came crashing down, with both the cancelation of version 3 and all the bullshit that came along with it. But while the others went back to their respective worlds, he stayed behind. Sometime in the two years he laid dormant, Canon Xenophanes (Xen) encountered Xeno wandering his broken world, and took pity on him. So he showed him something that would change him entirely. An alternate timeline's Final Escape, Xeno's last chance at catching the blue-haired runt, which had failed. Xen had used Xeno's built up rage to both their advantages, and Xeno knew he couldn't let that mortal escape alive . So he decided he was gonna do things differently, mutilating the cast of basegame and shifting the game to resemble his. He had the kid right where he wanted him, and thanks to the assistance of his fellow crystalline diety, he was going to ensure that he'd never let him go again.

You know what I love about this? Is that you can still hear a bit of sonics voice in Zeno’s vocals, it’s a headcanon for me that bf grew up playing sonic, and hearing his voice before being killed by him is something else.

I know there's probably actual lore for this, but here's my interpretation.
Fanon Xenophanes (Xeno) was in his prime. He had successfully brought the name of Sonic.exe back into the minds and fears of a new generation, with the aid of his comrades that he'd enlisted along the way. But then it all came crashing down, with both the cancelation of version 3 and all the bullshit that came along with it. But while the others went back to their respective worlds, he stayed behind. Sometime in the two years he laid dormant, Canon Xenophanes (Xen) encountered Xeno wandering his broken world, and took pity on him. So he showed him something that would change him entirely. An alternate timeline's Final Escape, Xeno's last chance at catching the blue-haired runt, which had failed. Xen had used Xeno's built up rage to both their advantages, and Xeno knew he couldn't let that mortal escape alive . So he decided he was gonna do things differently, mutilating the cast of basegame and shifting the game to resemble his. He had the kid right where he wanted him, and thanks to the assistance of his fellow crystalline diety, he was going to ensure that he'd never let him go again.
