Not a big fan just casual listener but Jeon Soyeon is a once in a lifetime female idol. She's the backbone of her group and it's extremely rare to see someone as hands on on everything and passionate as her. A real artist indeed, thank you for breaking stereotypes. The only gg who's able to break the stereotype for me is Mamamoo and I hope they also apply it to real life just like Mamamoo.

I have always noticed one thing about Soyeon. Whenever she talks, she talks with so much patience and full of wisdom. She might be an idol from 4th Gen but her wisdom is like someone who is in their 90s. Her eyes seems like they always look for something and her aura always gives off the vibe of a true artist. She is incredibly smart and she knows what's she is doing. I'm seeing Soyeon as someone who will break all the stereotypes one by one. Well, it certainly wouldn't surprise me that if she re-signs with Cube at the end of her current deal it is because they let her have her own label under their company where she has near total creative control. Otherwise, I could see her go out and start her own company and likely be quite successful with it. Watching her over the years one has always sensed that she is not just involved in the music side of the business, but studyies the business side very hard as well even looking for opportunities Cube may have missed to earn more for the group or her members. While some naysayers like to critique line splits in songs, I don't think I have ever heard any hint of complaint from the members because they know how hard Soyeon works for them all.
To be honest, if she and (G)I-DLE left Cube, I'd rather she signs with a stronger company that has better resources, rather than start her own. Soyeon is an INCREDIBLY smart & creative person, but I think it'd work best for her to have a company that gives her creative freedom... but also, is willing to say "I see your idea. I love it. It's extremely unlikely she'll resign. The girls are pretty pissed about how Cube handled what went down with Soojin. They can't show it on camera, but there's been a lot of other indicators (like all of them removing the fact they work for Cube in their instas before, a whole lot of details in this last album, etc). Even this, talking about Marilyn Monroe, probably is coming from that, because that's who Soojin has talked about being an inspiration for her before. Honestly, it took a while for Cube to make sure Soyeon becomes the key and the brains behind her group's image and song they release, which is a big responsibility, and I can see why they trust her visions.Also, Soyeon is no stranger, especially when she visits and creates songs or collab for artists in the Sm building as well.

I feel like she is the type of person who was born to be a solo artist. Don't get me wrong I love gidle and all of the members but it's pretty rare for an idol to be a good dancer, rapper, vocalist and have great stage presence. She truly is the best leader if not the best artist of the 4th generation. She knows what she wants for her group and she knows the strengths and weaknesses of each member that’s why each song is very cohesive regardless if one member gets the least lines. No other K-Pop idol comes even close to Soyeon. Saying a particulat gg member with only visuals and a squeaky voice is a huge disrespect to society
Soyeon is not the only idol who compose for her group. RM and Suga composes for BTS, Woozi composes for Seventeen, G-Dragon composes for Bigbang, Bang Chan, Han and Changbin composes for Stray Kids and LE composes for Exid.

It's nuts watching this, and the result being Nxde coming out just very recently. While it might have been "toned down" for consumption, the very Marilyn Monroe-esque nature of the song stayed largely for the most part, intact. Soyeon, indeed the genius producer of our times.

We're not yet over with I Never Die and here she is, preparing the next album. This is why I really love Idle. Cube's just there to fund and arrange and stuff but the girls have ways in participating and so they have more control in comebacks unlike other groups that have to still wait for the company to create songs for them. Honestly, it took a while for Cube to make sure Soyeon becomes the key and the brains behind her group's image and song they release, which is a big responsibility, and I can see why they trust her visions.Also, Soyeon is no stranger, especially when she visits and creates songs or collab for artists in the Sm building as well.

I feel like she is the type of person who was born to be a solo artist. Don't get me wrong I love gidle and all of the members but it's pretty rare for an idol to be a good dancer, rapper, vocalist and have great stage presence. Let's also not forget that she is able to produce and write amazing songs. Her honesty and ability to call out the BS also makes her stand out. Overall she has it all.

She truly is the best leader if not the best artist of the 4th generation. She knows what she wants for her group and she knows the strengths and weaknesses of each member that’s why each song is very cohesive regardless if one member gets the least lines.

It's nuts watching this, and the result being Nxde coming out just very recently. While it might have been "toned down" for consumption, the very Marilyn Monroe-esque nature of the song stayed largely for the most part, intact. Soyeon, indeed the genius producer of our times.

We're not yet over with I Never Die and here she is, preparing the next album. This is why I really love Idle. Cube's just there to fund and arrange and stuff but the girls have ways in participating and so they have more control in comebacks unlike other groups that have to still wait for the company to create songs for them.
