Umbrella, still my favourite organization, despite they're famous for evil but wearing their logo and name are most satisfying nerd thing I've done.
sadly this organization mythology got dumber in both Capcom and Holywood by time, like Capcom (admittedly by crews doesn't care with canon) keeping Umbrella alive as ghost like Neo Umbrella and the Blue Umbrella and both lore going nowhere, then Holywood misunderstood them as a band of moustache bad guys such as GI Joe's Cobra or Power Rangers villains.
Same, on the same level of Nerv of evangelion
capcom really did well in making umbrella a household name to gamers

i never understood why Umbrella made many sorts of weird creatures. things like hunters ,tyrants, plants, etc were they supposed to be war beasts for the US Armed forces at first place? or it is just to add varieties of things to shoot ?
imagine how tyrants and hunters would be in Iraq or Afghanistan then
it's complicated, Spencer originally wanted a superhuman virus to make him immortal and start new race, his failed experiments turned into beast and zombies, I guess for refunding the research he commerce those beast into product, but many creatures such as spider and crocodile actually not their products but accident exposure.
this bioweapon application in warfare was shown in movie Degeneration and Damnation, like one terrorist infiltrate as civilian but ready to transform into zombie then spreading, then Tyrant most success to be control by machine it went full Terminator

I've still got absolutely NFI what is going on with Resident Evil. Games or movies.
Thoroughly enjoyed the movies and RE 6, 7 and 8. But they seem to have little to nothing to do with the games 1-5? Which I haven't really played.
No they're all connected. It's like a puzzle though. Until you know all the pieces, you can't see the whole picture clearly.

@@JabroniSausage The sunglasses bit was a mod. If you look closely, you'll see that the scene was where Wesker was revealed to be alive and talking to Excella. Spencer's model was superimposed over Wesker's and given shades.
