Thanks Mate, glad you found something of value, it was just a general rumble. Good luck with the camping is about right. I've a feeling I'm going to need it! Ride safe Mate 👍
I also put a cago net or 2 over the roc straps. Good for fitting temporarily your jacket or gloves when away from bike. Most people won't undo it to steal something. Also comes in handy for items picked up along the way. Never enough straps.
Great idea John. I agree, we get possessed by all the scroats in society but the vast majority of us are not like that. Most people want to help. Never enough straps is good advice. Ride safe and thanks for commenting👍
Loving your channel Keith. You're a very good communicator. I've never had a Triumph, but your videos are very interesting. Enjoy your camping trip. Ride safe.
Hi Graeme, your are very kind. What do you Ride? I'm chuffed you find this you tube malarchy interesting. Camping trip? I suspect I know the outcome but I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised. More hope than expectation though😉 Ride safe Mate👍
@@shottostravelsA bit of an adventure! Good weather will make all the difference. I have a V85TT and a Classic 350. You've shown my bikes in your photo section previously. I've some more recent ones to send you. Ride safe
My wife found the standard seat uncomfortable & I had to agree, so we fitted the king & queen £300. It's better but the Bonneville was sold as a premium bike but if you want premium seat, suspension you have to pay twice!!! My lady also uses a fleece on the seat & it all helps.A secondhand pannier set with fittings & I'm able to go camping without a rack on the back. Enjoy the ride & stay safe. 👍
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I don't doubt that you are correct. I have heard of this fleece, sheepskin seat cover many times. Lots of people seem to swear by them, you must be correct. Thanks again for commenting, ride safe Mate 👍
Great video, lovely looking Bonneville. Looking forward to your camping trip. Where are you going, or is that a secret at the moment? Keep safe and as you say, watch out for those lunatic drivers, and there are many in the UK!! You need eyes in the back of your head!! 😊 👍
Hi Peter, Thankyou. You may be looking forward to my camping trip more than I am😉 But let's see how that goes. If the weather is kind it shouldn't be too bad. The plan is Keswick., because I figured it never rains in the Lake District. Does it? Ride safe Mate and thanks for supporting my little efforts. Ride safe👍
Morning Keith, fingers crossed for the weather for you mate 🤞definitely the best move with the centre stand, if you want all day comfort look at the Triumph King/Queen seat, you would have the best of both then, standard seat for short rides and a proper touring seat, that was my idea but to be honest the King/Queen stays on all the time 😂 hope you have a cracking time camping, All the best buddy 👍
Your right Mike, I think a King and Queen is the way to go. Are they really all day comfortable? I'm sort of looking forward to camping but let's see how that goes. I'm going to the Lake District because I have heard it never rains there! 🤔 Ride safe Mate👍
@@shottostravels yes they really are that comfortable, the only thing that I noticed was they make you sit back into them, now it’s probably not a problem for you but I fitted Motone up and back risers to mine because I found it a bit of a stretch to the bars but I’m a short arse (5’8”) and usually sit right up to the tank. Shame we don’t live closer I’d let you borrow it for a while to try. Hi De Hi 🤣🤣👍
It was lovely to see your triumph and it is a lovely machine. Those rock straps seem to be a very good solution. I might have to look into those myself. It was nice to see Poppy on your channel . I’m very glad to say that she’s back in the garage and hopefully when I’m feeling better, will be able to get another ride out, hope you are keeping well. Keith and I will be looking forward to your next trip out.
Thanks Stephen, They are very good, simple but certainly a step up from a bungee. I "think" 🤔 I'm looking forward to my camping trip. Let's see how that goes. Hope you get fit enough to ride your bikes soon now that summer seems to be arriving. Take care and thanks for commenting. 👍
Yeah I agree, up to 100 miles is fine. There's loads of bikes like this. But if you want to go further afield it would become torture eventually. I thought the fella with the seat was fair, ost people are. Ride safe Mate👍 Thanks for commenting.
I think bike manufacturers are taking the mick, surely motorcycle seats should be comfort as standard? Do car manufacturers have optional extra comfort seats (apart from lumber)Looking forward to your camping exploits and hope the weather stays good.
Thanks Mate, can't disagree with any of that. Let's see how it goes, I have a mixed feelings somewhere between excitement and dread. Let's see 👍 Thanks for commenting.
Bike looks fabulous. Personally I wouldn't bother changing the seat I've never found the standard seat an issue. I have to say I would not recommend the TEC pannier rails I bought mine about a year ago and they are rusting quite badly even though my bike is very well looked after. My Son's partner bought the Motone ones at about the same time and they are much better quality.
Glad you got your money back on the mistaken 'comfort seat'. But trust me the proper one was for me no better than the original, if anything it was worse. good luck Wirth your camping trip.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts Mate. I think I'm going to look out for a King and Queen now. There's no desperate rush, I am happy to use my airhawk seat cushion if the need arises. I think I'll give the comfort seat a miss. Thanks again, ride safe👍
@user-om5lm3en4b Hi Mate, I have heard that the Corbin seats are wonderful. I've never had one, What year was your T120? If it was after 2016? It should fit? Send me a pic to my email and a price? What do you want for it, and don't rip yourself off! 👍 👍
Lovely to see you Keith 😊. Great little update and quick Rockstrap review. Happy camping next week ⛺. Hope the weather is kind to everyone. We're off to Gretna Green, then Kos - where apparently it's about 38deg 😅 Thanks for showing my photograph 😊. It's actually Staunton Harold Reservoir, near Melbourne. That's Derby, not Aus lol
Hey Philip, all the very best, I do hope it goes well in Scotland. Kos sounds wonderful. We plan to go somewhere in September when the schools go back. That reservoir isn't far from me but I've not been. A ride out in the future I think👍

If bikes came with "comfort" seats as standard, who on earth would swap it to the "uncomfort" version?? It's just upselling, surely?? Having said that, I got a touring seat for my 350 Classic, intending to get it recovered in leather but ended up selling it and getting the standard seat done instead.. For aesthetic reasons! Yes shallow.. 😊 Oh, rok straps.. Mmm... Not cheap! I like a cargo net myself, useful for stuffing things underneath, like a wet towel that will dry in the intense sunshine..
Thanks for sharing your thoughts Mate. Upselling? Absolutely it is, but if we were in business would we not do the same. Never thought of a cargo net but 99% of the time I don't need anything because I have my box. I thought the standard seat on my Classic was one of the best I'd ever perched my oversized backside on. Ride safe Mate 👍
Lovely video (again). How are you finding the handling of the T100? I’m still adjusting from my 2004. Feel it is more nimble and easy but lacks a little of the fun of the old model. Swapping out the front and rear suspension still on the cards for me, you?.
Hi Mate, too early to tell for me, overall I'm loving it. Handling is fine for me but that doesn't mean it couldn't be improved🤔 I do like it, xI can't imagine Zi want much more from a bike despite my rumblings. Ride safe mate 👍
