Lmaooo y'all are the only reactors that can keep up with svt's variety content, cause there's always a lot going on and you must keep your eyes and ears open or in an instant you'll lose context for the next moment. They were sooo fun, i was losing it every 5 seconds at the chaos and youngji's 'chotto matte kudasai' and random 'nani's. Like I'm gonna start saying that when i get surprised/overwhelmed too. This is coming from a person that understands korean to the extents of having heard it for years thru kpop and variety (svt taught me korean u can say) and 'desu' in japanese is pretty much like what 'imnida' is to korean, in the sense that you'll hear it a lot at the end of sentences. The word alone on its own doesn't have a specific meaning if you were to ask but I think u get what I mean. The detailed learned clarifications I'll leave to the other commentors that actually know the language. Glad to see u enjoy svt as always
He actually dosen't have a Korean name since he's American. Jisoo is he's middle name. (Full name: Joshua Jisoo Hong) So, he's using he's middle name which is he's korean name when he need to introduce himself in Korean.

If 'eki' here is '駅' which means train station. then "eki desu" or "駅です” means "(this is) train station" or just "train station" depending on the situation(?)
