- As a follow up to my review video of these Askar C1-C2 Filters ( • *NEW* Budget Askar SHO... ) You're voices have been heard. Here is a full tutorial on how to combine data from both filters to get Ha, Oiii, and Sii to recreate the Hubble Pallet for OSC Cameras.

This is the most straightforward and effective process I've seen. Thanks a lot.
Glad it helped!
Thanks for tutorial on combining SHO data with a OSC .
I'm now learning how to use Pixinsite software, so I have saved your video to Pixinsite play list.
thanks for the work through, you made it look so easy, nice work.
Great finding your channel. I'm just starting out and want to encourage you to continue. Love the tutorial! Looking forward to trying it out!
Thank You!! This was so easy to follow along. I took notes and I'm ready to try this myself.
Wow. So glad I discovered your channel. I’m glad to see the EZ soft stretch tools available again
Thank you so much. This was super informative and easy to follow,
Loved it.
Thank you for the video! Great job!
Glad you liked it!
very clear process!
I have the Askar 2 and L-Ultimate so this is great. Unfortunately I am doing galaxies and emission or reflection nebulae so...maybe at the end of summer.😊
Danke!😁
You're welcome!
The best SHO processing video i've seen so far, hands down ! Just one question, is it necessary to run SPCC after DBE for this type of processing ? Thanks.
I didn't use SPCC at all for this process since we are technically using "mono" images to combine into one color image. DBE of course to take out the gradients. i would only do the SPCC for SHO if you happen to take RGB stars in the process or back to the one of the either original files to extract those stars instead.
Hello, Thanks a lot for this super video! What about the sensitivity each color channel has in other colours from your camera? When we look at the graph respons of each channel, we see that a percentage of OIII is polluated by the respons in Green & Red. same for other channels. Is it possible to take care of this as to get the more scientific respons for each OIII, SII & Ha images? Thanks in advance for your help!
I’m confused. So you combine the dukes of both nights to get more data, when you’re stacking then? You combine them during Post process? I think this is the detail I’m missing.
Great job, i supose that it's the same workflow for the askar d1 and d2 filter?
Correct. In any case, any set of Ha/Oiii and Sii/Oiii filters, this method works for all of them!
Subscribed! Do those Askar filters create halos?
I notice only faint halos but that's the gamble of the lottery
Can you use the C2 filter with the L_ultimate to get the same results?
it should work
Should be no problem at all. I've used this same method with the L-Ultimate and the D2 Sii/Oiii filter with great results
So your video Motivated me to go for Askar D1 D2 rather than make a hole in my pocked and go of MONO. Thanks a ton. Was lucky to get the D1 and D2 filters. Last night got an open sky in the monsoon season, and grabbed 12 subs D2 and 4 subs D2. All 300 seconds. Will grab more when opportunity strikes. Your video starts with the stacked images of C1 and C2. So do I stack them separately, and then load them into Pixlnsight for processing, OR do I put everything into PI and PI will give me two separate stacked images ? Since your reply will come much later, I am right now stacking them separately. Will see how I progress. Patiently await your advise.
Good choice going with the D1 and D2 sets they are phenomenal filters. So in the stacking process you can do it in the same WBPP session but you got to make sure you go into the "ADD Custom" to assign the lights and flats for each filter. Sometimes wbpp won't do it automatically. Plus it helps when the auto crop happens it plate solves and star aligns the both images for you. Just one less step to do =P
@@OuttenAstrophotography I am really dumb in this. Would it be possible for you to make a video to show how to set it all up in Pixlnsight after which one can hit the RUN icon. Would appreciate it. OR would it be easier for me to stack separately, and then will Pl allow me to select the two stacked images and then post process when I follow what you have shown in the video
Absolutely I can. I would have tonight but it's me and the wife's anniversary so I don't wanna take away from that but tomorrow I Absolutely can.
Good news the video is up! ruclips.net/video/rWhTggZ7oZo/видео.html
@@OuttenAstrophotography all the best
What is the bandwidth of these filters, please tell me?
For the C1 it's 12nm Ha and 35nm for Oiii
C2 12nm Sii and 35nm Oiii
Similar bandpasses as the Optolong L-Enhance
@@OuttenAstrophotographyThank you very much for your time, have a clear night 👍
