- The journalist Glenn Greenwald broke the biggest news of 2013: in The Guardian he reported on the surveillance by the American National Security Agency brought to light by Edward Snowden’s leaked documents. His stories triggered a fierce debate over national security, the amount of big data government gathers on citizens without their knowledge or consent and the concomitant privacy issues. He was one of the journalists at The Guardian and The Washington Post who were awarded the Pulitzer Prize for public service last month.
Greenwald’s new book 'No Place to Hide' appeared in the Dutch translation as 'De Afluisterstaat, and in collaboration with publisher Lebowksi the John Adams Institute hosted an evening with this controversial media figure on May 20, 2014. In his book, Greenwald, who now lives in Brazil, reveals fresh information on the NSA’s practices and recounts his experiences reporting on Snowden’s documents.

The last two years have really brought home what Edward Snowden was trying to save us from. (It’s April 2022 as I write this) Glenn Greenwald is a fantastic journalist and his journalism is very thorough and ethical. I applaud the courage of both of these incredible individuals.
Never heard of the John Adams Institute but you got Glenn Greenwald on so I will give you the benefit of the doubt and give you a chance as a subscriber. But first hint of Orwellian doublespeak or gaslighting and I'm out of here. Experience has taught me to not trust any name that sounds patriotic or progressive because usually it turns out, they are not....in fact usually the exact opposite.
They did a bright minds about Madeline Albright and Dr Fauci so I have my reservations.
Glenn is an intellectual pit bull.
If we had more journalist like Glenn, the world would be a better place, because we would know all that is going on behind the scenes and it would hold our leaders more accountable for their actions. But this is a pipe dream and we will continue to filter through all the lies to find the truth at all costs.
Wonderful talk. Explains clearly and exactly what Snowden did. And thank you for bringing this information for which he sacrificed himself to the public.

Have you seen CNN's Wolf Blitzer's interview with Donald Trump before his campaign for POTUS? He told Wolf Congress should have impeached George W. Bush for getting us into war in Iraq. Of course, we should be sure the real architect of those policies, the father of Liz Cheney, gets the credit he is due. Why else would Liz give up her chance of reelection to head a kangroo court on J6 if not as vengeance for that CNN interview? How many wars were started during President Trump's years in the White House? Zero. Compare that with Obama's third term.
