    I appreciate seeing someone tap metal properly. 45 years ago, old men in the forklift repair shop took me under their wing and taught me basic mechanical skills. I rarely (never) see anyone back their tap out to clear the chips. It's all about running it in with a cordless drill, regardless of the possible consequences. Which they're never gonna show in their videos.

      I’m not risking breaking a 23 dollar tap in stainless 😂

    Love this series bro. Can't wait to see the end. It's great seeing a guy like me building something with mostly basic tools and fuck it mentality.

      I went to kms to get one and they were all out of the size I needed. So I had to go to Gregg’s 💀

      @@coleyellowbirdwelds how come shops are always out of the one thing a person needs to do the job? Lol I feel like this entire tranny rebuild has been the same scenario from beginning to end.

    Ps i started building chopperparts in 1987 so a small tip you can make a bend in thin sheet easy put 2 pieces of wood on floor 10 inch apart then use a gasbottle to press and roll your bend

    What brand is that little hook looking tool you use for taking the burrs off the inside of the holes?

    • @coleyellowbirdwelds
      @coleyellowbirdwelds  10 месяцев назад +1

    Love the position of the coils, to me though too many pieces bar stock. You think heat from the engine might affect the coil’s?

      If it’s an issue I can make spacers to set them out more

    You should never drill trough your exhaust pipe a simple welded bracket to the underside is easy and clean

    Don't mean to spam you, i am just commenting as I watch. But I think the coil mounts look good, I would just be worried about them getting too hot being that close to the cylinders. Maybe? I'm not sure if that could be an issue or not though.

      those coils will be fine where they are angel, lots of air and lots of clearance.

      I thought about this too. If need be I can make some spacers too push them out a bit.

    good use of those fake fin mounting holes in your heads. now you just need to figure out what to do with the rest of them and no one will be the wiser.
