- The Cartier Tank Must... It is just too good. I think everyone should have at least 1 nice dress watch in their collection - and the Tank might be the perfect piece! It looks so cool dressed down, but also so good dressed up. You genuinely cannot go wrong with a Tank.
Having this watch in for review reminded me of how much I love the Tank! I don't think I've enjoyed a watch so much in a very long time. What do you think to the Tank?! :)

My wife just gave her tank to her niece. That’s one of the upsides of being well over 70. They are just about the most elegant timepiece made. The only problem is that every time I put one on, I get an uncontrollable urge to go to London and have a new suit made.😊
I keep coming back to this video for the brown strap! Incredible look!
When the red/blue/green first came out last year, I was lucky enough to secure a set and am absolutely loving it! It's great for coordinating with different ties/suits.
As a fellow black dial tank owner it can get difficult between say, 10 and 11 o clock, but for me it was an adjustment period to get used to what 10 meant with no indices for example. After not wearing the tank for a while it does get confusing again sometimes! To be honest I’d likely be wearing it every day but I’m not going to go in the steam room at the gym or shooting rifles with a Cartier tank (I did do archery with it once). It’s just so good
Bahaha, I struggle there tooo!!! And I struggled between 4 and 5. I always need a clock / watch with numbers tho. I'm too much of a dumb dumb!
Omg! I just bought that black dial Cartier in a large. I had my first full day with it yesterday and absolutely love it.
YOU ARE KIIIIDDING! Omg!!! Biggest congrats EVER!
Thanks Britt ❤
You are producing some awesome content lately, Britt. You’ve become my favorite watch channel. Keep up the awesome Cartier content!! I just LOVE the Manufacturer.
Whaaaat! This has absolutely MADE MY DAY! Thank you sooo much and I am so glad you are enjoying the content.
As an admitted Omega addict (fanboy doesn’t sound right) - I love my Seiko, my GS, and my Garmin as well. But… when I was in the Cartier Boutique in Las Vegas last month?
Stunning, amazing pieces that feel phenomenal on the wrist. And the simplicity of this dial is amazing.
I’m not sure which Cartier I will pick, but my next watch WILL be a Cartier!!
Thanks for sharing your love of them!
Ouuu you have to let me know what watch you get now!!! A SANTOS?! A DRIVE?! A TANK?! 😱😱😱 I can’t wait to see!
I too am I cartier tank man! it's been my grail watch and I finally got one from my wife as a wedding gift! I don't even look at other watches, its so perfect in every possible way. discreet but distinctive. tasteful, formal and casual. I always loved delicate unisex watches and this is the top of the pyramid!
Cartier is taking over the world! 🤪 well, almost lol I love Cartier and all they stand for, they are 100% class. The Tank is the Clint Eastwood of the watch world, you forget how handsome it really was. Awesome show Britt!
Bahaha this is my favourite comment - the Clint Eastwood of the watch world. "You feeling lucky?" hee hee. But you nailed it: Cartier = pure class
@@BrittPearceWatches are you ever going to reply to my question about the blue Tudor? :(
And for the ladies, it’s the Princess Diana of the watch world
Hey Britt!
Check out the 70's must de cartier tanks! I have a mechanical 28mm gold plated one with black dial and absolutely love it. It's definitely the smallest watch I've ever owned, but oddly enough, with a black band feeding into the black dial it looks incredibly proportional on my 7inch wrist.
I think you hit the nail on the head, square watches DO wear different. Additionally, I think the gold makes watch the watch wear a tad bigger than they actually are.
Bonus tip, the 70's must de cartier's are about half the price of the new one's, and if you buy them from Japanese dealers you're getting a really well looked after watch!
Your videos are becoming absolutely amazing. you're doing great job and leveling up with every new video.
Exactly buy and wear what you love. Thanks Britt
Im glad you made this video Britt. I got mine the other day. I wore mine out the other night and i get what you are saying with it being so light you forget you are wearing it because i went to sleep with it still on. But i got a nice surprise when i woke to this beautiful Cartier time peace still on my wrist. Keep up the good work Britt!
Wearing a cartier tank solarbeat every day and loving it!
Oh GET IN!! Love the solarbeat!! Big congrats on owning this watch
@@BrittPearceWatches it’s like a nice mix of your tank solo and the one you had in for review. Yeah it was hard to track down but i got lucky with the nice people in the New Bond Street boutique!
Gringa! 39K Subs, Yoohoo!!!! And I did see the easter egg. That really makes my weekend. Thank you. This video is another hit out of the park. In all forms, Cartier Tanks are a classic design. You really cannot pigeonhole it into a dress, casual, or just everyday watch. To Editing Britt: I think your skills are getting better each video and are really up another notch. Long Live the Cult(s).
Don!!!
I saw you on IG and subscribed immediately after seeing your post about this watch! Cartier watches are freaking amazing! And, oh! This Tank Must suits you so well!
Hello Britt, I love Cartier they represent utter luxury. Not really my style but I appreciate the elegance and simplicity of the dial. I just recently purchased a Frederique Constant MONOTHOLIC in blue in my watch collection a dress watch has both combination of Breguet looks and new technology In horological world. Keep up the great videos🥰😁
Small watches with casual clothes is a vibe. Been moving toward 33mm and smaller vintage Cartier, Omega, & AP with hoodies and a pair of New Balance.
The black dial tank must is so dope. I have a rose gold tank LC and am still itching for this! Even in quartz!
You are by far the coolest watch content creator!!! Love the sense of humour in what can be a too serious hobby! Thank you for the smile on my face!!
Thanks for this. Your love for Cartier comes through and is very contagious!
I have the blue version and think it's amazing. I've been thinking about adding the black as well so I can play with different colored straps more. It does look equally great on you and watch papi's wrists.
I can relate with your passion for rectangle and square watches, I love the JLC Reverso and currently own a homage Rotary Elite Reversible 😊
What is it about square and retangular watches?! Just pure class!
@@BrittPearceWatches Agreed 💯👍❤️
Great video & narration! Love ur comments in this video. I’m looking forward to getting my Cartier Tank (quartz or mechanical) one day! It will be my suit & tie watch!
Ahhh hey Chad! Thank you sooo so much! Man, I'm hoping to get a mechanical Tank sometime. Rose gold Tank Louis with the gorgeous guilloche! I neeeeed it
Loving your content and style Britt! You're so charming, genuine, funny - and most of all genuine. I'm usually sports Rolex (boring/predictable, I know) but I'm now having my eye turned towards the dress watch. This one looks so elegant and cool - it might just be the next one to buy whilst I save (for a long time) for that Calatrava!
It has been a few years now that I dream of owning a Cartier Cintrée. This brand is incredibly special.
Your videos get better and better, I love the presentation. Your personality is what drives the videos. Keep up the great work!
U have a Fan from Italy here!
Love the combination of black dial and brown strap!
I agree, Britt - if $ was no object, I would be a Tank collector indeed. I love them. The black dial is a stunner. I own a Movado Museum watch and can tell you from personal experience that setting and telling the time can be quite challenging.
Your videos are getting so good! Great edits, great shots and lighting!
Whaaaat! Thank you sooo so much! Honestly, I've been trying so hard to step up my game and make my videos better!
I've been looking at pictures of this watch the whole week. Nice that just now you come out with this video about it.
And I agee on the pendulum change in the direction of dress watches.
Thanks Britt! Fun vid - and that model and that strap are very handsome together.
Oh thank you so much! And man, I ouldn't choose if I liked the tan leather strap more or the suede black one!
@@BrittPearceWatches Me too tbh! I was taken in by the tan but then I saw the black suede! :)
The solar beat is on my radar for my wife for our 10 year wedding anniversary in a few years. She’s not a mechanical watch person and mostly wears her Apple Watch. I feel like the solar beat is perfect for her since it’s versatile but also easy to maintain with being solar powered.
I’ve been eyeing the black Tank Must for the better part of a year and I think I’m close to securing one despite many people not “getting” what’s to love but it’s just a slice of perfection in my eyes.
completely agree with you. I love the rectangular square and something about the black against steel just speaks to me too. When I wear mine it just feels right and is me.While I admire other brands, Cartier just speaks to me!
Love your video I have owned a Cartier tank since 1985 and I love it more now than when I first bought it keep up the great work
I’m currently waffling. I can only afford the steel, but the gold looks best on me 😭 Although, I’m beige neutral and can wear gold and silver 😂
I love the Tank. I personally have the Black TL as well as the Tank Must XL. I love how they wear. Awaiting on my Asymetrique NYC 5th Ave. limited release. Britt--love your videos!!!
just bought a blue santos for my 50th bday love it
”I don’t wear a Tank to tell the time, I wear a Tank because it is the watch to wear “ Andy Warhol
Hi Britt, you got me helped with this watch. I am happy to get one soon and will pick it up this week. This piece has a such a modern look with its black dial. It simply looks cool 😎 ❤
Man....Cartier is really on my radar now... after several years of struggling with bulky watches (Speedy, rolex sports), I've realised that I love anything at 35-36mm and under 8-9mm thickness.... that kind of elegance is timeless, comfortable and you just forget the watch is on your wrist.... that's where brands like JLC, Cartier and Nomos excel.... so yes Gringa lady... I'm happy with my iwc, but some day I feel I'll end up with a beauty like the tank in gold as my main watch
Right?! You said it perfectly: Elegant and timeless!
@@BrittPearceWatches beautiful
I was thinking OP 36mm.... but they're nearly 12mm thick...I just think rolex could and should do better to slim down to 10mm... but I love your watches G... the black tank in a gold case... now THAT'S killer
I have a wsta0041 I bought in July it is my favorite watch in my collection!
The black face is soooooo fire!
I think you have to find “your” perfect tank. My first tank was a Tank Louis in 40mm and it was too large on my 7 inch wrist. Last week, I purchased the Tank Basculante, and it’s perfect…for me.
I love Cartier.
I have a Tank Must XL and a Santos.
I stare at both watches wondering which one to wear.
You and your videos are great!
First watch I ever fell in love with was a Tank. The Americaine, to be exact. At this point, if I could have just one watch it would be a Cintree, bar none, full stop. There is just something about Cartier's whole Tank range. So classically elegant and different from what anyone else is doing. Some day I'll get one, but for now my old Pasha will have to do.
Cartier makes some of the most elegant and beautiful watches, ever. I love the tank style and have owned more of these than the conventional round. This is the first time I have seen the blacked out Must and I will blame (be grateful) you when I purchase one.
Got my first Cartier on Friday. Santos Galbee XL. Absolutely love it. Really into these new Must’s, I think the red is my favourite.
Whaaat nooo way! Such a sporty choice! :O I love it! Big congrats and wear it in good health
@@BrittPearceWatches cheers. Yeah I love it. Marks new JLC next on the channel? His incessant spending is doing a good job helping you out with content! 😂
I love my tank must xl, it’s quite the strap monster (if you forget about the 23mm lug width). I tried the large must, but the included strap wouldn’t even fit my wrist. If the tank had a pinch more water resistance it would be my GADA watch idc that it’s a dressier piece, this piece goes with everything!
I totally understand your gripe about lack of numbers and I had always hated this style of watch with a passion until I stumbled upon a 36mm Movado Museum. And I fell in love with it! And the Cartier Tank gives me the same feelings when I see it. It's definitely on the list of future buys when funds allow. This is coming from an Omega fanatic too lol. Another great vid Britt, keep them coming. 👏👏👏
Great review! I got the Burgundy …. Loveeee it !!
I own a Tank de Must and I love how it looks different. Looks great in casual wear as a guy.
Excellent work. Your videos have made me seriously consider getting a Cartier.
Can you give the details on the brown leather strap? Looks very good.
Love this video! Going to pick up my cartier next week and really want to know where the black suede strap is from?
I love Cartier and I've tried on a few. As you said, it's deeply personal and it just didn't fit who I am. I've always been hard on my watches and I love a watch that fits my rugged, outdoors lifestyle
Right?! Different watches speak to us and suit us. I'm the same - I've tried sooo hard to like GS. I really love them as a brand, I love the way the watches look - but for some weird reason, they just never look right on me!
Have you looked at the Rolex Cellini prince? It have much of the same art deco characteristics of the Cartier and the Reverso. There are several models that each have unique styles. They strike me as a watch line you might like.
Absolutely breathtanking! I hope Cartier sticks around and never tanks 🤪
You should consult on additions for modest collections. For those with and without a Papi.
If I was to have a dress watch I’d have the Americaine or Solarbeat, but what I would really like is either the blue or black bezelled Santos.
Oh amazing choices! The solarbeat is particularly cool!! I'd love to get one in for review!
I LOOOOVE ❤️❤️❤️ CARTIER!
Almost 40K subscribers! Congrats Britt! 👏 Love the content:)
I literally just bought one today. Got a SMALL solarbeat tank must. I’ve got a 6.25 inch wrist. I think a tank should look small on the wrist even on men. What do you think Britt?
One sentence in this video completely and suddenly sidetracked me, and I'll paraphrase 'some people are Submariner people, I'm a Tank person' and I'm sitting here thinking to myself "what the hell person am I?". I don't have an answer, that's sad there's nothing that I have really hitched my trailer to. Huh strange, oh well. I like the Must but personally I'd rather have the Solarbeat. Love love love Cartier, but I'm not a Cartier guy. Great video thanks!
Britt, you made me buy this watch. I love it. I wish they made it in automatic movement but whatever. The xl is too big for my wrist😢.
I love your love for the Tank, the Santos, and all square things. Great job presenting these beautiful watches! The revamped Must line is real cool. But I'm really sorry Cartier discontinued the SolarBeat Tank. That was a neat watch, and was let go way before it had a real chance to shine.
This happened last week when it dawned on me.... As an owner of about a dozen or so other pieces, I didnt need a "versatile" do it all watch. I just wanted a dress watch that would slip under the cuff of my dress shirt/tuxedo, which was slim, had black leather (because who wears steel strap watches with a Tux ewww), and just appear for the occasional peekaboo to tell the time. This one made perfect sense. Tho i bet some people could pull it off with jeans and a t shirt as well!
And... I bought one. Love it!
The way I've been thinking about buying a Cartier Tank Must one day and then you release this, it has to be a sign!😩😭
Love your videos btw! Thank you for making entertaining videos that are light hearted and not so serious 💀🙏
I would love to see you review some really cheap watches like Casios and Timex's, Pulsars ect... I'm sure you'd make it work!
THIS IS YOUR SIGN! You need to get the Tank Must! ;)
Watch looks great. On you. Everyone's different, I just can't get on board. The Tank de Must XL speaks to me, but I ignore it. . I'm not a rich man, so I just can't tie up that much $$$ in a piece I can't see in low light. Add near zero water resistance, it just won't get wear time. Thanks, Brittany, great review, I'm glad the owner wears and enjoys it.
Bahaha! Oh I can't say it enough... Is this over priced? Yes. Would I pay it? Also yes. Am I crazy person? Yes, so I really wouldn't listen to me. ;) hee hee!
@@BrittPearceWatches 🙂👍
Wonderful watch. I have the cartier tank must in romen numerals any recommendations on where to buy straps for it ?
Do you know where the brown leather strap is from? I want to get it for my black tank must as well. Thanks!
Santos Dumont and Cartier Tank Must duo is forever elite...
I'm a seiko turtle kind of person, but after seeing this black version of the Tank, I gotta admit its very nice! Simple and elegant. Two issues for me though, firstly, would look daft on my 7.5 inch wrist and secondly, I heard someone describe the tanks crown as a nipple, and now I can't unsee it.
Ahhhh, I think it is a bit too small for a 7.5 inch wrist! Cartier Santos XL ;)?! As for the nipple... That's 80% of the reason I love them! ;) hee hee
@@BrittPearceWatches Wouldn't say no to the Santos Skelleton, but my bank account would. Also, if its turning blue you might want to turn the heating up haha
Don, try the Cartier Tank Solo XL. I have a 7.5 wrist and just love mine. I have it on the black strap.
I was looking at Tanks and Santos's on Cartier's website last night. This video is definitely a sign to buy one.
This is a sign from the lord!
I have a collection that includes the expected SS sports titans. But you are right Brit -- a nice (and elegant and simple) dress watch is good (and maybe the coming thing!) For women moderate size. For men maybe a tad bigger. (I like the JLC Reverso -- (But $$$!) esp. the simpler versions of the Reverso. But there are others for less cash. The "Tank" of course is classic. (BTW: I am older so I distinctly remember when the "Must do Cartier" came out in '77.. Women in my office were into it from the get-go.)
Sounds to me like it's a _must have_ 😁 for Britt!
The tank looks great on your wrist. There is no way I could wear such a small watch. I would also love a large Reverso too. The burden I pay for having large wrist is that my 47mm Panerai looks proportional on my wrist just as the tank looks proportional on your wrist. The tank and Reverso watches have a charm and elegance I would love in a watch I could wear. I will have to admire some smaller watches from afar.
Wow, you re-enacted that gasp so well 😌.
My wrist is 7.5 and I love this watch my concern is if the size Large is small for my wrist size? I actually have this watch now and have 2 weeks to decide whether to keep it or return it. Please Help!!!!
Keep it and rock it 💪🏽
Looks even better on the black strap. Also, you have awesome hair 😊
Right?! It looks sooo formal on the black strap! I love it!
Congrats on subscribers. I’ve got a 7.5 inch wrist. Not sure how a watch that small would look on mine. Also, I’m hard on watches since I tend not to baby them. Might have to check out the Santos though. Still not giving up my Aqua Terra 150M.
Ouuu! Yes a tank might be too small! BUT an XL Santos might be the way forward!
first time watching your content. oh my.. yo te amo cara mía! ...what horological siren is this!? you had me at seamaster. as someone who's always been curious about cartier, you definitely make a strong case for their watches. cheers from terrapin country.
Great video, I’ve become a lover of Cartier since watching your vids so I will enjoy the education going forward lol
Whaaaat! This is the highest praise! Do you watch Theo & Harris?! :) Christian is also a big Cartier fan. We are currently fighting to be president of the Cult de Cartier ;)
Gringa Sunday 🎶

Its that day again 🎶
I gotta say this particular model is a strap monster and looks best on leather straps……but tell me which Cartier doesnt look cool on a strap right 😅🙌🏻.
Thank you for a great video Britt, this week was on fire with awesome content.
Also I hope that you dont have any more symptoms from that concussion you suffer in church 🙏🏻.
IT'S THE DAY AGAIN! ;)
@@BrittPearceWatches Im so glad you are all healed up 🙏🏻. Take care and blessings for you and James 🙏🏻🙌🏻
Beautiful classic watch . Love it on the brown croc strap is this a cartier strap or another brand please?
It’s another strap! But I honestly have no idea where it is from! 😂🙈
I love my vintage Cartier Must Tank! One of my most worn watches - and I'm a fairly casual person.
Hi Britt where did you get the great promo pictures you got in the video ? thanks for everythings
I so want to see one of these in person! I went to the Cartier boutique yesterday and they didn't have one to try on because these entry-level tanks gets sold fast. 😮
Great video Britt. I recently acquired the 18ct Cartier Tank LC and it’s just a truly charming watch. The brand exudes timeless elegance in a way that no other can.
It also makes a welcome change to my daily watch. 116520 black daytona. I’m now toying with the idea of adding the Cartier Basculante to my collection.can you do a video on this watch ?
I have had 2 tank style watches. They were the Seiko SWR049 and the other a microbrand from Sweden called the Söner Momentum. I returned the Seiko because the thinness and overall blandness of the watch was off putting. I kept the Söner because it is a bit thicker, has an interesting case shape and is unique for when I want something unique. I think an XL automatic tank would be something I would be interested in.
This video made me buy the WGTA0011. Thanks a lot Britt :P
Got a Tank for my partner and she absolutely rocks it. One of the absolute timeless classic watches in history.
good review Britt, love your take on the tank.
Mark has very good taste. OMG this is so beautiful. I'm still trying to figure out if it's responsible to own both of the classic dual with Roman numerals and this one with the black dial 😂
Cartier is just rocking the watch world by making this unique approach between jewelry and watch making…🥰
Right?! Perfectly said! 💕
Wow, great video. Well done! Gonna get myself a tank now haha
Looks Fantastic! A MUST for Any Watch Lady! Such a Classic!
PS: Decades ago, I bought a Cartier Pasha (which is now Ladies sized?!!!... -I guess!).
Hi Britney... I think you're hilarious. You're nearly as neurotic as me! I too have a Tank thing...but also a newly found itch for 36mm Ronde in steel which I'm forever tempted to scratch. But , as you identified , it's a lot of lucre to pay for a quartz movement. But alas and alack, I'm also besotted with the all black Tank, but your comment on sometimes not being able to tell the time made me press pause. To digress... I once had a Renault car which was so old and battered a Garda suggested I donate it to the army for use in tank target practice! And now years later I'm cursing Renault for making the tank in World War 1, which inspired Louis Cartier to design his famous Tank watch - and caused me to obsess on his creation.Odd how things connect , I'm opining.
Donald
I have both and the Ronde does wear better, especially on a guy’s wrist
Love the Tank. I want the Solarbeat to be my next watch
Oh YES! The solarbeat is so dang cool. I need to get ahold of one to review!
