This looks like a pretty formidable tape-style delay, but how do you think it compares with other heavy hitters like the Belle Epoch Deluxe and Mr. Black's Tapex 2?

Strymon delays and reverbs all have a certain soundscape. You either want that or don't.
All I know is when I think Binson I think Floyd at Pompeii. And thusfar the pedal that gets closest to that for me is the Echorec. Just watch the pro guitar shop demos of that and the Boonar. Both are cool but that dark mysterious overtone of the original hits me most with the Echorec. We'll see on this latest Strymon, but it just sounds like an El Cap meeting a BigSky in the middle to me thus far. It's missing the mystical darkness.
