Had to pay £10 to register my EV for the congestion zone exemption because apparently the ANPR cameras can’t work that out. So now, when the wife has an appointment in Marylebone I drop her off at the door and drive around for an hour before picking her up. It’s cheaper to drive around than park up.

More homeless out on the streets, a more difficult to access health service, lack of school places and education, more sewage problems and lack of water supply, overcrowded roads and streets, an economy going down the tubes…. there might be some people who are unhappy with all of this… then an increase of street violence and lawlessness. Curbing population numbers in the UK was not an option, it was a complete necessity. How long do you think we can run with this before ‘the state of emergency’ is declared?

The asylum seekers won't need boats. The boats will stop quite quickly now. The UK Government will be building an airport near Calais for the people to be brought over in comfort, or be handing out first class Eurostar tickets on the French beaches. The number of illegal immigrants will be quickly cut to zero, as all immigration will simply be deemed as legal.

Road tax for EV’s is going up next year anyway, think it’s a flat rate of £195 or something and the more expensive ones (over £40k) get hit by a ‘luxury’ tax on top. It was and is a total scam.
So effectively they want nobody to drive in the zone at £15 a pop, it's ridiculous, people need to use cars.
It costs the planet exactly the same for a battery car as it does for an internal combustion car. This has been said for the last 10 years and nobody is listening. A battery car maybe more " pure" to run but it's environmental impact to manufacture could be higher than an internal combustion car. A battery car is a cop out for the environmentalists because they see things now and not in the future when we have to scrap the toxic batteries from our planet savers. Just remember folks, there's no such thing as a free lunch.
I read EV’s become better for the planet once they have been driven around for eight years . This because of the manufacturing process. Whether or not this assessment includes the intense energy usage whilst mining for the metals I don’t know . What I have read is that the process of filtration ( whilst refining the metals required) is very harmful to both the local environment and animals .
Of course EV’s are unlikely to survive eight years since many EV’s are manufactured in the people’s republic and we all know products manufactured there have a somewhat short life . Further battery replacement costs for EV’s are extortionate . This will almost guarantee a short life for EV s .
How this is good for the planet is beyond me .

ahhhhhhh.... I've been an EV driver for the last 5 years. This was always on the cards to charge EV within the London Congestion Zone from 2025 so its not new news.
