The packing doesn't bother me. The molded foam end pieces are going to absorb any typical shock. I bet it will survive being banged around in a 19" ATA roadcase. So going overboard on the packing just cuts into the bottom line.
Is there tests & evidence saying that styrofoam etc will absorb all the impact even if inner box is bouncing around? If inner box is good enough then 2nd box is a waste. Maybe I'm just being superstitious but seems like it wouldnt absorb all the jostling as well as if both boxes were packed tight. But $2500 .... pack that inside man! 😉
NO they don't My first cirklon arrived 3 years ago and there was a clear cut in the box . Ups probably threw around with it Upon opening the box one of the rack ears protruded the foam and the box ,resulting in a toally bend rack and minor bend faceplate . Sequentix support was stellar , but fuck UPS
Ooooh... that binder reminded me of the manual which came with the Notator sequencer for Atari ST. Was under the impression that "They don't make manuals like that anymore!", but apparently they do! 🥹
The entire kit does have an old-school vibe about it. But like some of that older stuff, it has a power that maybe hasn't been matched in the newer gear.
There is still one on sale on the Dutch Synthforum for 2,400 euros. Apparently noone is interested. Anyway, I'm not, because it's a step sequencer. If it could do patternless linear recording, I might be interested. Although it's timing is superior to a DAW's, that doesn't justify the waiting list and high price.
I think that's just a sign of the economy. Gear isn't as easy to sell these days. Not sure what patternless linear recording is, but I wish more sequencers would allow for free live recording. Is that the same thing?
@@MKDVB I define linear recording as opposed to step recording. Some sequencers allow live recording while still dividing the pattern into a maximum number of steps. That approach of sequencing is of little use to me. I have a Winter Modular Eloquencer step sequencer for bass lines, melodic sequence lines and electronic percussion, but all other parts need to be recorded in real time. I don't say the Cirklon is a useless piece of gear, on the contrary, but it could do more to suit my needs.
Is anybody interrested in opening cardboard boxes, watching foam and stickers for about 9 minutes?! I don't understand the added value of 'unboxing videos'. Luxurious or cheaper - if it's not cheap junk, it should be properly packaged either way. Stickers are not a sign of quality at all. Caviar or a silk bathrobe as a bonus would be luxurious. I am also surprised that you have no (or only a vague) idea of what "the World's Most Expensive Sequencer!" is. possibilities the interfaces (could) provide. By the way, is it really "the World's Most Expensive Sequencer!"?
Here's a little lesson about the internet for you. If you dont like content dont watch it. More importantly: dont comment on it, even if it is criticism. It counts as engagement and gives a further signal to the algo to promote the content. Everytime you disagree with something online you are essentially promoting it.
@@Fuzzfooger In my opinion, there are some misinterpretations about expressing opinions, asking questions, commenting or the purpose of comments and consuming contributions in general. Well, I have to have seen the content to know whether I like it or not - I don't know that beforehand (I don't watch things that generally don't interest me or that I find stupid). I think I understand the idea that you can promote content with your criticism. But I wasn't rude and asked (myself) questions about the meaning and content. As for the 'little lesson about the internet' - if you don't like the comments, don't read them or even comment on them (notice the contradiction?). Apart from that, raising your voice online, standing up for (right, fair, humane) causes and values is counterproductive? Keeping your mouth (substantially) shut is generally more productive? Is that the essence of a 'little lesson about the internet'?
@@peffken8834 The first word in the video title was 'unboxing' and your comment questions the validity of unboxing videos. I find it hard to believe you needed to watch the video to truly get a handle on the fact it was going to be someone removing something from a box. I'm not sure what the rest of the point was about humane causes etc as it all seemed unrelated. Nothing to do with my comment and a bit of pontification on your part.
I'm a hardware guy. Plus i dont know if DAW sequecers have the same level of features as the more advanced hardware sequencers ... probably Max For Live could get close but it wasn't easy to find anything that was as good as the Pyramid MIDI FX, much less what Cirklon is packing.
More like an unwrapping video?
The box don't make it work any better...

@@Pepijn_a.k.a._Akikaze you can do it on the cirklon in the p3 pattern mode

No its not the most expensive. And I kinda agree, you've got too much money if you're buying this and don't really know what it does.

You can make a DAW sequencer do literally anything.

kircklon , lmao
Made in China sold from Germany lolololo
Do another video "Paying for the World's most expensive sequencer" and next "Sleeping in the same room with the most expensive sequencer". Pathetic.
F**K 4 minutes of bitching about packaging !
