I switched from using a Mach 3 for like 20 years to using Harry's. The five blades are awesome. They do have a stainless steel handle for about $5 more than the polyurethane/rubber/silicone one (whatever the hell it's made of). However, after a few years, the Harry's Handle will fall apart, unlike a Mach 3. All that said, I am a Harry's user now.

Some problems some dont understand grey hair is harder to cut than black hair what I do is cut the hair with a shaver first then when its lower use the blade I get a better result that way
I bought this razor one month ago. It is my new go to razor. Very close shave with no irritation. I discovered it takes a very light hand for me, let the blades to the work.
Also, about every third time I swipe the blade opposite the way its cuts across my suede slipper. I am still using the original blade after a month!

I haven't changed it yet. I am still on the original blade. I don't shave over the weekend and I noticed today when I shaved there was a little bit of pull but I still got a close shave. I'll probably change it soon though. One month a blade, not bad! I think the slipper trick really works. I saw a vid and the guy ran it across his arm and said that worked. I thought if his arm worked a piece of suede should work too and it did. I know that sounds silly but I think it has extended the life of the blade.
I use the Gillette five blade, and I do use that at least a month for one blade, it cuts very well, but I heard that the hairy‘s are less expensive, and I wanted to see on these reviews if it was worth it.

I have never used the Gillette but I can't imagine anything shaving better than Harry's plus they so inexpensive compared to others. I get blades at Wal-Mart and a 4 pack for approx $10 lasts for 4 months. They had a trial offer online that was way cheap, dont know if they still do. Check them out, I think you'll like them.

I’ve experimented with so many different razor blades. Trying the bundle packs to the 3-5 blades and I had good luck with 3 blade razors from Sams club. I have been tempted to try my wife’s razor. I’ll have to ask her how long her blades last. Thought of trying the razor that you change out the actual single blade. Old school one but I do believe they still sell them.
Those safety razors are much better. They shave just as close and the blades are much cheaper. I’ve bought razor blades one time in the last 5 years. Amazon usually sells the blades in 100/pack for about $10
my Mach 3 razors? last me??? months,, but i only shave bi-weekley Harrys? 5 blades? wont cut it,,, ill stay wiff my Mach 3.....
I used to use a Harry's but it irritated my neck. Now a year later I've picked up DE razors too. The Gillette proglide is the best cartridge tbh but also about 2x the price of mach 3.
What about safety razors?
I was using the Mach. Great razor but the blades are like $80 for 4 cartridges. I’ll give this a shot.

Joe. Don't buy those in drugstores /Pharmacies or grocery stores. Buy them in bulk packs of 15 at Costco or Amazon or Walmart for $32 for the pack of 12. One cartridge gives me 10 comfortable shaves. I mean each shave for me is a 2 pass both with grain, re lather and against the grain and I am super smooth.
Don't use alot of pressure with harry's they are the sharpest blade's I have ever used other than a old school double edge safety razor but those cost to much money for a nice one and they are to technique based for me.
I concur this is the sharpest most comfortable shaving razor I've ever used

You should really try a safety razor. Definitely no tugging while shaving. I use one most of the time but sometimes still use a 3 blade disposable.
I find I always get cut up with a safety razor, and I never get cut with Harry’s. It’s the best!

I'm happy with my Gillette Mach 3 Turbo I buy for $1.30 each at Costco. My deodorant I use Every Man Jack scent Fresh from Whole foods that's also aluminum free. I wouldn't use Harry even if it was Free. The owners of Harry's don't even believe in the product after selling the company!!
I might be wrong but I think your beard gets used to your currant razor. Therefore if you change your razor your beard may not be the wiser, Like I said it was just a thought but it worked for me.
Actually I think you do have something there, I do concur and what you’re saying, I went from using a five played by Gillette, and then I went to that sick five, or Mark five something like that, and shaved better, alternating different brands I think it’s good.
Ok honesty : The next day. It didnt work for me at all. It has a swivel head, I dont recall knowing that. I had some difficulty, razor burns, no 'nicks' though. I think I will stay with my 'sensor 2' razors, they do ok, and I feel I have more control instead of any swivel head razor.
I was really hoping I would love the Harry's razor, but it drags across my face too much and yanks my hair. Seems like anything over 3 blades does that for me. I used to be able to use 5 blade razors, but they either redesigned them, or my beard became more coarse.

First time I used my Harry's it was amazing it felt like a straight edge razor straight from the barber the first time I use it when I was done I could not feel one single hair on my face
That's exactly how the Gillette Proglide (not regular Fusion) gives me a baby smooth finish.
Wife bought me one and her one for herself both razors had trouble keeping head on handle both wasn't as sharp as Gillette.

Pro tip: Always strop the blades. I can make a bag of Gillette Blue 3 disposable razors last a year.
Stop applying pressure to the razor with your fingertip. Just let it glide
I've just tried Harry's, I'm not an expert but I normally use a proglide and got a better shave from a 3 month old proglide than a new Harry's. Subscription cancelled before the trial ended.

I shave 1-2x a week. Is it worth it to invest in a good quality razor? Will a good razor prevent razor bumps?
If u get razor bumps anyway u will until you shave super consistently, although in my experience the higher quality the razor the less razor bump. I also found face lotion helps alot better then after shave cologne. Just my experience hope it helped
Yes a good razor will make you want to actually shave good blades will not give you in grown hairs or shave bumps. I would say either buy a Harry's or try the old school gillette trac 2 on amazon it is sold as the Pll from India
I shave every single day, Gillette works for me and my face has never got bumps or anything like that.
I know this is an old comment but if you get razor burn, switch to the double sided safety razor blades. Not only do they give you a cleaner shave, but because it's only a single blade, you can do 5 pass throughs' and 5x1 is only 5 times a razor touches your skin. If you use a 5 bladed razor system and do only 2 passthroughs, that's 10 times blades touch your skin, and the more times a razor goes over the skin the more irritation happens.
I would, I’ve tried both Harry’s and Gillette and I much prefer the Gillette Mach 3.
I’ve given the Harry’s razor lots of chances because I wanted to love this razor so bad but at the end of the day three things turned me off for good and made me stay with the Mach 3. 1.) the cartridge is barley on there it doesn’t really snap on it just sits there and I’ve had a few instances where it just pops off. 2.) it’s a horrible shave for me personally, gave me the worst razor burn I’ve ever had and the ingrown hairs were guaranteed every shave. And 3.) It’s actually more expensive than Gillette products at my local wal mart. Definitely not worth it for me.

Harrys Razor blows The Mach 3 the first time I use Harrys Razor I felt like I came straight from the barber after a straight edge razor shave that's how good it was

I use fusions 5 blade go to your local flea market & they have 4-packs of 5 blade for $5-$6 bucks .. as to Walmart’s 4 packs for $10-$11 bucks

Excuse me but the last time I bought razors mach 3 off of Amazon I got fake blades from China you realize real Mach 3 razor blades will say Mach 3 on them the ones from Amazon do not say Mach 3 they are a rip off and cut the shit out of your face just so you know make sure you're looking to see if Mach 3 has stamped your razor it's on the plastic on the razor blade usually where you connect the handle on the razor blade and I totally agree with you Mach 3 is the best razors you can buy I've been using them for 15 years I don't know how this guy says they wear out after one or two times I can shave five times and it still be sharp as fuck so I don't know how this guy comes up with these allegations I wish people would tell the truth when they make reviews what can you do we live in a crazy world we don't know what to believe anymore so what's the point of watching reviews if they're going to be full of shit anyways just wanted to let you know since you buy razors off of Amazon to make sure your razor blade says Mach 3 on it or it's a fake razor I also ordered from Amazon and they were not stamped and I cut the shit out of my face it was nothing like a Mach 3 so if I have to spend the extra few bucks I want the real deal so I buy them at Walmart or Costco 🇨🇦
i bought sum Harrys razors,,, they do Not work as good on a longer beard,, ill stick wiff my Gillette mach 3 i dont shave but once a week... Harrys? wont cut it... sorry! but nice shave cream!!!

It's a chunky piece of garbage that gives terrible razor burn on your neck. Also the blades only last one shave because they are packed so tightly together than it gets clogged with cream and debris and not even the water jet in my shower can get the shit out.
Heard these are good razors but since the company has gone "woke" I am switching to Jeremy's razors.

I used it to let five it is fine, but it’s very expensive for an a cartridge it’s about close to $40. but I use one blade a month, so in a cartridge lesson me for eight months so it’s good, you’re saying that the hairy is not too good.
