Its been 8 months and still cant describe how this song makes me feel. The words, the music, Sara's vocals... I absolutely love it.
I find it that Sara's music is my own "Dear Hope" as she never fails to bring me comfort and courage.

Ugh the minor chords during the chorus just enhance that battle with despair and hope. Let hope win!!
Exactly what I love about this song. Minor chords in some chord progressions really add such a flavorful taste to songs.

I just want to say we're Christians, but there's something amazingly real about how you write. When your song "Someone Who Loves Me" was released, I think it described a part of my wife's life back then that she wasn't sharing too much with others. Now, every single word of this song does the same for me. I don't see a lack of faith in these 2 songs, but rather glimpses of faith, hope, and love. We Christians think those 3 virtues go well together :-) I haven't seen the show and don't know the story, but these songs intersect with my narrative. Thank you!

I am a huge Little Voice fan and Brittany has a stunning voice and did a brilliant job... but this is the one song in the show that didn't "click" because it was lacking Sara's emotion and rawness in how she makes the words twist and twirl and dance to send us such beautiful messages.

Can someone explain for me please what does the phrase
'read a book on Hemingway'
mean?
I think she meant just that- she read a book on Ernest Hemingway, and maybe she was referring to this quote by him, " There is nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and bleed." She must have had so much going on, like many of us I supposed, sometimes people write just to express things that are in their heads, their hearts.

Like reading a book about something or someone. Here the book could be a biography or an autobiography...i think. Hence the read 'on' someone
