Today I'm doing the Impossibles puzzles, which have no straight edge, and 5 extra pieces! I'm trying an old one and one from their current line, and I want to know just how impossible they really are.

Do you think you would ever do an Impossibles puzzle? Thank you to everyone for watching and for signing up for my Patreon! I'm blown away by all of the support!
now way. for me dark puzzles are impossible 😅
I really want to recommend you try to solve the impossibles puzzle in VAT19 🤩🤩 It has decoy pieces and like I THINK IT WOULD BE SO ENTERTAINING WHEN YOU TO TRY TO SOLVE IT FOR THE VIDEOOO
im currently at a only white puzzle - is that impossible? :D (i found you randomly and i love watching your videos while puzzling :D
I found the Stroke of Luck impossibles puzzle at Good Will a couple weeks ago and thought of this video. It's not a puzzle I would have normally chosen, but I couldn't pass it up for $3. I just finished it. The extra pieces definitely threw me off a little lol. It wasn't my favorite puzzle to do, but I'm feeling accomplished at finishing it now.
I did two of them back in 2001. The butterfly one which took me a week and the jellybean one which took me about a month
I just finished my hardest puzzle yet. BLUE KAZOO.. Nebula. I'm 73 and my eyes are not the best. So many dark upon dark. I really like the quality of their puzzles. This is my 1st of the Galaxy Series, and my 4th puzzle finished. Earth, Starry Wave and Color Wheel.
Great job! That one is hard
I love theirs. I just did Earth, and I have Sun and Moon on the way.
I got my first pair of glasses at age 3. If I don’t have a sharp lamp I get the worst headaches.i really want to do the Galaxy series, I hope it’s not too hard. All the best puzzling ahead.
@@charisma-hornum-fries Thanks! I have 3 lamps shining down. I can increase or decrease the brightness. Nebula was extremely hard for me. I am now doing Puzzle Twist "Welcome to KC." So many bright colors. I am loving it.

You've turned doing jigsaw puzzles into a career??? Oh my God! You've completely won at life! Go you!
I just love Karen’s personality. She could be counting out grains of rice and I’d still watch. Such a lovely human!
Can we all just acknowledge Karen’s genuine care for her supporters and audience? I’ve grown to respect her and her passion for puzzles, her energy and content is unique not to mention the patron affordable prices, it truly shows her character and i’m glad to have found her channel. ❤️
Back in the 90s my dad and I put together a circular JP that was all black and had 30 extra pieces. We saw it in a mall on vacation and decided to do it when we got home. It took about two weeks to finish (between me being in school and him working, and other things like church etc). It was sort of flatly satisfying to finish because like WOW it took a while but then it’s just a black circle… until you flip it over and it said GOOD JOB on the back! I didn’t know about it, and honestly my dad was the kind of guy that could figure out how to do that on his own time when I wasn’t home or in bed, but it made it 100x better
I swear Karen hoarded all the kindness from every other Karen lmao. How thoughtful of you to set your patreon prices the way you did! Even if you didn't have to, and it would have been 100% okay for you to charge more. I will never not appreciate how thoughtful and kind you are about so many things.
I did this puzzle on my TikTok. I was so excited to see your reaction to how all the extra 5 pieces are connected. It really made me sad because it was so easy to see which ones did not go with the puzzle! I wanted more of a challenge lol
I need Karen to make her own "impossible" puzzle now.
Good idea. This would make a good video as well *wink to karen* ;D
Yes!
@@susancampanelli4245 maybe an "impuzzable" one?
@@hannahminas7848 Ha! that should be on a t-shirt 🧩
Haha, go for it
So happy to say I am a 5 dollar patreon. You are the first person I've ever thought about joining. Puzzles make me so happy and finding someone that shares that joy is nice! Hope this year goes better then any years in the past. Now back to the video for me lol
Oh my gosh, I appreciate that so much. I hope you like all of the bonus content over there!
this is so sweet
I really appreciate that you do old puzzles as well as new ones. And how you always find something positive to say about the puzzles, or things that would be positive for others, as not all puzzlers are looking for the same type of puzzles!
except the Heinz ketchup one. pure hate for that one hahahah
One of my grandmother's hobbies for a long time was jigsaw puzzles, and I clearly remember that our family got her the Impossibles with the stamps design ("Return to Sender"). It was the first time we heard of a puzzle with gimmicks designed to counter normal puzzle strategies, and we were sure it would take her a few weeks. She said it took her about four hours, including connecting the extra pieces to each other.
Yay Karen is full time puzzling now! I'm so happy that this wasn't an impossible goal for you!
I have been loving your videos so much recently! I don't really puzzle myself, but I work full time (divided over three jobs) mostly in the service industry/bars and a lot of times after I come home from a closing shift (like now, it's past 4am and I just worked a gruelling shift) I love to unwind with some crisps and your videos, it's perfect! So thank you so much, I absolutely adore your energy :))))
you were way more critical and did a lot of analysis and critique in this one, showing your knowledge and experience with puzzles. I really liked that aspect of this video, hope to see more of that in the future :)
I did the "Something Fishy" impossibles puzzle. Definitely not impossible. Interestingly, my 5 extra pieces all connected to each other and I could identify exactly where they were duplicates and fit into the puzzle.
I have something fishy at home as well! Haven't tried it since maybe 15 years ago when I was 10 and gave up pretty quickly. I've recently really been thinking about trying it again. I think this is the sign to do it!
I think I did this puzzle at a holiday home a few years ago and it was actually easier than I expected
‘Impossibles: Candy Land’ is like a fever dream. Sensory Overload doesn’t even begin to cover it. 😂
It is nice to hear someone's true feeling and experience. Critiquing something in an honest manner that isn't dripping honeyed words or derogatory is the absolute best way to do it and you nailed it. Giving optional views on something for people who don't have the same experience or knowledge as yourself is a testament to charismatic ability to have a channel and community, good job.
So happy to see you not ending up in the “what have I done”-puzzles once in a while. I have never done an impossible puzzle… (if it doesn’t count that I’ve given up on a couple of boring ones! ). The most challenging one to date was the bottom half of Scandinavian presence “the great prince”. Closing in on single colour…
I think you have the kindest and most empathetic Patreon situation I've ever heard. Everyone gets the same and they pay what they can.
I'm not apart of your Patreon but if I had an income I for sure would, even if I wasn't interested in the content, just because it's so dang nice of you to have it set up the way you do.
The Candy land image looks like a gift wrap paper. If they only had arranged the motifs to set at random or as a spiral pattern. Repeating the pattern and even setting it to follow the grid is such a low effort job! I could make a puzzle like that with a cheap vector graphic set.
I just bought the Great Wall of China puzzle from a thrift store - it has never been opened. Thanks for this video. I haven't done a puzzle in years but you've got me interested in taking on a challenge. Looking forward to seeing what it's like to tackle a puzzle with these weird constraints.
Puzzles are usually a struggle for me and I don’t usually like to do them. Since finding your channel I suddenly want to go get one haha
Congratulations on being able to make this your full time job!! ✨
I hope you get one and have fun doing it!
Go get one, girl! If you're nervous about it being too much of a struggle, go for a lower piece count, a grid pattern, and/or blocks of color.
Karen, you are a puzzle inspiration. I recently started puzzling and am quickly realizing all puzzles are not created equal. Quality and therefore the experience can really vary. Thanks so much for what you do I look forward to seeing more of your content.
I wish one day you can make and sell your own customised puzzle since you have a lot of experience and have seen a lot of jigsaw puzzles. Just an opinion. Happy National Jigsaw Puzzle Day
Just stay tuned 🤫

@@KarenPuzzles OMG! Tell me you're also going to ship internationally?
So here for this!!!
Karen, I love how you identified the most fun part of the puzzle - joining sections together. So great.
The fact that I had several of those Nokia phones as a teenager makes me love this puzzle. SO much nostalgia
I am working on the candy land puzzle right now! I’m about 40% done. I did the monopoly impossibilities puzzle a couple weeks ago.
Exciting! I'd love to know if we share the same opinions on them!
My husband said they should make a puzzle with a repeating pattern and cut that actually loops around the edge, so you don't have a clear edge at all...like the top row could actually connect to the bottom row, and the left side could fit into the right side. That could be super interesting.
I'm sooooo happy to see more puzzle videos from you in the future! These news are pure joy for me! 🤩
I'm happy you'll be watching my puzzle videos in the future!
Paused the video for a minute so I could become a patreon. Congrats on doing this fulltime!
Thank you!
I loved your commentary on how the puzzle could be improved and challenging va frustrating puzzles. Impossible!
You seem like such a lovely person! My mom has been doing 1,000 piece puzzles for the last two or so years and I have resisted doing them... But I think I might go back to doing under 500, thanks to you!
Whether the puzzle in question is easy or difficult, it’s impossible not to enjoy a Karen Puzzles video!
Will you consider working on the Bits & Pieces 1000 piece “Peacock” puzzle?
There are so many votes on Amazon saying it’s too difficult & people give up on it. I figure if anybody can do it, you can.
I went to Amazon and read some reviews for that peacock puzzle. What I found is that people were mostly disappointed with the quality of the puzzle, not that they couldn't complete it. It doesn't look that hard -- I'm sure I could put it together.
Karen, I don’t think they factored you in making ‘Impossibles’. For you, it should’ve been ‘Very Much Possible’.
Wow, that is some classic Y2K graphic design on the back of the first box - I'm sure I had some software that came in a box with that same typeface. It makes me quite nostalgic for my first mobile, which was a little pink Erikson flip phone of a similar vintage to that puzzle.
I spend a fair amount of time trying to choose challenging but not frustratingly difficult puzzles, and I've discovered that the key for me is to go for designs with plenty of different textures, lots of colour, and little details. Anything with large areas of flat colours I find not so much difficult as a dull, chore-like experience - especially if it's a ribbon cut with standard piece shapes, requiring trial and error and a degree of sheer bloody-mindedness to complete.
Congrats on doing this channel full-time now! I can't wait for all the future content to come. Sadly I'm not able to support you financially but I'll be here to comment and like your videos (hope that helps too).
Yes, absolutely, I am just as appreciative of every view and like and comment ❤️
I stopped right there at 1:10 and signed up to support you. You put so much enthusiasm and effort into every single video and your time lapses are so satisfying to watch - it never fails to make my day.
Thank you so much! I really appreciate that!
I’m so obsessed with your channel. You’re so adorable and I’d like to thank you for getting me back in to puzzling! I thought this activity was only for older people, kids, or people who have no life 😆 but this is an amazing stress/ anxiety reliever. So thank you!
I have the Candy Land puzzle, and I had the exact same extra pieces. I agree that it definitely wasn't "impossible" as advertised. The hardest part was all the pieces falling apart when you move sections.
I have been working on an "impossible" puzzle that I bought from Dollar Tree. It's actually tough, for me, and amazingly good quality for being Dollar Tree. It's a 1000 piece puzzle.
Yay!!! I'm so excited you're able to puzzle full time!!
Woooow…I didn’t know that January 29th was dubbed “National Jigsaw Puzzle Day”….heyyy it’s Annie from New Brunswick Canada. My 92 yr old mom and I occasionally do put a puzzle together. It helps to keep my mom’s mind very sharp. Have a great week, Karen!
Ooo I love the research heavy vids Karen can’t wait!! This also seems so interesting!!
@Spam Bunny 1. she literally stated not to say this cause she said she isn’t! 2. This is literally nothing to do with this comment! 😅 laughing at how ur trying to annoy people on here with that comment!
Congrats on the great start to 2022 Karen, can't wait for more puzzles
Great to hear you’ll be expanding your puzzle videos ! Looking forward to seeing your channel grow even bigger.
Congratulations on your Full time commitment and Patreon! That's really awesome and super happy to see you having a career in something that you love!
Thank you Karen for all your videos! Thanks to you, I rediscovered my love for puzzling! In the past few months, I completed three 1000 pieces puzzles. I followed your advice of looking for gradient puzzle for the first time since they are easier. I chose 'New Skies' from the 'Inner Mystic' series from Heye (illustrated by Andy Kehoe) which offered a good balance between being easy and pretty to look at. Now, it's on my wall! Thank you again!
I’m loving the Impossibles ‘Tick Talk’ (sounds like an app we know) Box. Loving the Y2K Campy Phone Aesthetic!
Congratulations on being a Full-time RUclipsr! So happy to hear that! 👏🏽
Congrats for the Patreon page and thanks for the decision you made to take this channel as your full time dedication. We're really going to support you and continue here for you. Much success in this new adventure and wish you all the best. Regards!!
LMAO I was like... why is no one making a puzzle brand/using the pun "impuzzable", I'm so happy you mentioned that in the end. Great mind think alike!!!
Also I did the Minions one and it was no fun at all. I had to look up every single piece on the box and play "find the differences" which was exhausting. It took me 50-60hours and could only do 2/3 hours a day... do not recommend!! Although I would be curious how you would solve them and how long it would take you!!
I love it when you get funny/sassy! always makes me laugh "Who? Who voted you most challenging. I would like to have a word with them"
You made our dinner more enjoyable, as always, wonderful day, delicious meal, wonderful content so on… IMPOSSIBLE to resist! We love you Karen!
Got the Candy Land puzzle for Christmas. I found this puzzle fun to do. I have the same 5 pieces left.
My favorite day of the year!!! Good luck Karen, keep on puzzling👍
It’s kinda refreshing to see you have such a pleasant experience
So excited for you and this new chapter!!
I'm glad you put that reference in there, b/c every time you talked about the puzzle not having them, hank just popped into my head screaming "dude! No Edge!" over and over at me.
How did i never know that my birthday is international jigsaw puzzle day? Now i know why i love jigsaw puzzles so much.
Happy birthday!
I love you Karen and am so excited to support you on patreon!!
Thank you so much!!
this is my go to channel for having a good time. i don´t know why but i really enjoy watching you doing your puzzles and be so passionate about it. i´m sure you are not the only nice karen on the internet (as there are surely many nice karens) but you are definitely the cutest.
One thing I’m noticing about the vintage puzzles you do versus a decent number of modern puzzles, the pride that the manufacturer takes in their products was a factor “back in the day “ whereas now, it is obvious that making money is the primary goal. Like you pointed out with the minimal effort it takes a company to produce a puzzle like the candy land puzzle, it allows them to spend less money in production and therefore make more profit. But on the bright side… Now I want to buy and try out some vintage puzzles for myself. 😊
Your background redesign is SO beautiful Karen. Love your videos. Thank you!!
Thank you!
I did the repeated goldfish impossible puzzle many many years ago, and the jewel one with the solid yellow background. As you said about the phone one, challenging but super doable fun.
I wish I had the brain to do puzzles in chunks like Karen. I do the border and spiral in. The only different way I do a puzzle is one side to the other. I love watching these and im happy you are feeling better karen! Days like those are awful!
Luckily it was just a one-day thing! I've been feeling fine ever since!
@@KarenPuzzles happy to hear! Stay awesome!!💜🖤💜🖤
Kareeeen ❤️
Happy new year. I havent seen you in FOREVER! I hope you’re good!
You're the first RUclipsr whose videos I watch as soon as they get out😊. Too bad I live in Iran, or else I would have definitely signed up for your Patreon.
Hey Karen, just became a Patreon. Im so happy to finally be able to give something back to u. u helped me trhough this pandemic and i started puzzeling again. keep up the great work, my world is a better one with u in it!
Thought it would be nearly impossible for someone to explain the fine line difference between fun/challenging and frustrating, but you summed it up very well. I'll bet the company voted themselves as 'most challenging', geez! Great review and honest thoughts.
@@IGDZILLA I agree with you, and some puzzle companies are good at avoiding this problem. Reviews like this help us find the ones with good quality control.
I did an Impossibles puzzle. It was not impossible! It was an image of spooky bookshelves, with repeated images in no pattern. It was fun!
Impossible! I love watching your videos and I am excited you are full time now. I do not normally comment but I had to say congrats full time girl! I am going to support your Patreon as well. I haven't done that for any other youtuber, but I have been doing puzzles for almost 3 straight years. Non stop. I am not anywhere near as good as you but it is my favorite thing to do. Here's to more content!!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it!
I had a few mystery puzzles from this brand when I was a kid -- loved them!! They had a fairly long story in a stapled booklet, compared to the short ones I've seen as an adult.
Impossible: Hi Karen. I have 6 of the old impossibles puzzles. I find them, as you, to be fun and not to challenging. I’ll try to add some pictures. Best greetings from Belgium, Inge
whooo congrats on going full time karen!!!
Thank you for this fun video about the Impossible puzzles. Nice work, Karen!
Great video. The difference between something that's challenging and something that's essentially only time consuming, is often lost on some people. The grind of completing some puzzles is similar to the grind of the management challenge modes in games I play on PC. Interesting.
Probably the most impossible puzzle I’ve ever done is the Ravensburger silver krypt puzzle… and it also made me dizzy working on it for some reason
The krypt Puzzle ist now also available as gradient puzzle. It looks stunning in my opinion and is relatively easy. I had very much fun with this.
@@sandra7790 I loved the Krypt gradient.
I also have the krypt gradient and it was the first gradient I ever did. It was super fun, but it was way easier than I thought.
Karen didn't seem to like the Krypt when she did it. I ordered the easier gradient and can't wait!
I did the krypt gradient a few days ago. I really like that one. Not very challenging but the result is beautiful.
Just started enjoying your videos and they are bringing me so much joy! Your passion is SUPER awesome and as a fairly new puzzler, I’m loving the info and tips about the puzzle world. Congrats on going full time!!
Congrats on going full-time with you, Karen Puzzles Channel. So glad you were able to not make it an "Impossible" transition, and your love of doing this is showing through.
Thanks for the full explainer on the difficulty of these and others. Sure makes the impossible possible
This was my first time watching your channel and I will say I enjoyed it. I'm not even a puzzler but i found this to be very satisfying.
Hi Karen! I started the solid color grey puzzle and it’s maybe the hardest thing I’ve ever done! I love your Chanel so much!
I just recently saw the Candy Land puzzle on clearance at TJ Maxx. I ultimately decided not to get it bc my "To be done" puzzle shelf is literally to the roof in my bedroom 😄
My to do pile is out of control... Buying puzzles goes so much quicker than doing them, especially with toddlers
YESSSSS I have been hoping you’d try one of these since you started your channel! I know how difficult the one I did was, and that was with three people working on it! I can’t wait to see your approach. **settles in**
Late to the party, but I did the candy land impossible puzzle, and had the same extra pieces as you. It took me significantly longer, though.
Just completed a seashell puzzle with seashell shaped pieces it was pretty neat but hard. Loved it though.
Whoa that one sounds pretty
I think I did that onethis summer! Mostly small pieces but some large shells? Lots of fun!
I've never done any of the impossible puzzles... But I did have a few of those cell phones back in the day. Lol
You stated my exact thoughts on how to make the second puzzle more challenging by rotating the entire image!
As always your puzzle videos are so entertaining. As a very casual puzzler, entirely due to the pandemic but it stuck, if I see the word "impossible" there is NO CHANCE that I will be selecting it. However, despite that reason for not picking them, both of these puzzles have a graphic that attracts me in puzzle selection which are definite and specific contained images that I can use to guide my solutions. But I really don't like puzzles that don't stay together well when you're moving them around. Often you won't know that unless someone else has done it and warns you.
Congratulations on your dedicated channel!
Love the video! Excited to sign up for Patreon and for the bonus content.
Happy National Puzzle Day, and congrats on your Patreon! I've done other "world's most difficult/IMPOSSIBLE" puzzles before (the ones where the same image is printed on both sides, at a different angle) and found them fun, but not the most challenging. I was wondering why these weren't called Impuzzibles the entire video! Someone else got there first lol!
Your editing and stuff is amazing…..thank you Ms K
These are my favorite kind puzzles! I am so obsessed with them that I basically collected every single one of them, including the newer ones! Probably the rarest Impossibles puzzle I got is "Europhoria" It is only obtainable from Europe, but luckily, I found a seller on a foreign online store that had that particular puzzle and was able to ship to the USA! I then worked out paying for it with my mom and got the puzzle a few days later. Also I am aware that in all the puzzles, except "Europhoria", the five extra pieces interlock with each other! I am so glad you finally did a video about these puzzles!
I’m so looking forward to more frequent videos!! So exciting
I signed up today anyway! Love your channel! I am working on "Oceanic Wonders" 3000 piece by Ravensburger--biggest I have done to date. Only thing that makes it hard is I have pieces EVERYWHERE lol..Bowls, plates, box lids! SO HAPPY you are going to be posting more videos!
Your patreon is really taking off! That makes me super happy for you Karen 🎉😊
I'm so excited you have a patron!!!! Thank you! Congratulations!
Thank you!
Congratulations on the full time gig!!! 🎉🥳🎉 Also, it's very nice that everyone gets the same stuff on Patron. Take care and have fun!!! 😷😎😷
