Hey Buffoon, I found your channel only recently and I have just caught up with your reactions to The Wire. I just wanted to say, keep up the good work. The channels I've found (so far) that react to this show either haven't done it justice, or haven't stayed the course, so please keep it going to the end. I really like your delivery, with the frequent tangents and constant self analysis. I feel like that's how I'd want my channel to be, if I had the impetus to make one. For me, reaction channels provide an outlet to get that kick out of seeing other people become obsessed with the stuff I'm obsessed with, without having to pester my close friends or family into watching it and boring them to tears banging on about it. The Wire is my all-time favourite show. As someone living in the UK, the world it occupies is arguably as alien to me as the world of Game of Thrones, but I feel like the themes it explores are universal. And it hits harder knowing that this is a representation of a world that actually exists and that real people live in. When I first watched it it served as a great lesson in just how different the US is from the UK, despite there being a prevalent assumption that we are culturally and socially very similar. I feel like the UK as a whole sees itself as having more in common with the US than it does with mainland Europe, when in fact the opposite is most likely true. The UK certainly has its fair share of dysfunctional institutions as well (an equivalent British version of "The Wire" would definitely have to include a season exploring the Royal Family) But when it comes to the lives affected by that dysfunction, the stakes appear to be far higher for those living in the US. Which makes for great drama. I've definitely allowed myself to go on too much of a tangent, but I'm sure you can appreciate what that's like. Suffice to say, great work and as long as you keep it going, I'll be here watching 👍
Fun fact: The woman that Cutty loves is played by the exact same actress who plays her bitter sister. She just puts in such a great dual performance that it's unnoticeable.
the inability to leave was perfectly displayed in season 2 when Ziggy asks why the ducks don't fly away and get's the answer "'cause their wings are clipped."
The actor who plays Slim Charles came into where I work like a month ago in southern md. He’s a well known local musician from DC. Big G from the Backyard Band, probably one of the most popular go go bands.
Your ability to recognize the parallels is impressive! And, "Now it's my turn to be Omar!" - those kids really idolise his lifestyle... By the way, the actress Cutty pursues actually portrays two roles in this episode, appearing as both the teacher and her sister who Cutty met earlier in the episode.
Loved the insight you provided with this episode! Definitely put me on to a couple of things I've never noticed or thought about. In particular the car statement made by Kimmy and the Barksdale soldier. The pacing for this season is chefs kiss. Like I always say Season 1 is the slowest for obvious reasons, Season 2 is the plot developing fast with the case aspect being the buildup (again for obvious reasons) and then Season 3 is the perfect mixture of both. Love it.
Regarding the "Western District way", there are times (including in real life) when the police force is really not much more than another gang who can act with impunity since they have the support of lawyers, judges, politicians etc
It's actually impressive you even get over 100 views per Wire video let alone over 1k esp with only 2k subs. Love the content you just inconsistent than a mf SMH and I know from experience that YT hates inconsistency. But since you are getting this many views putting out The Wire content so randomly you should prob get more consistent and frequent IF you want to grow your channel and start making solid money. But that may not be your goal or your life may not allow for more consistent videos. I def get it but I highly suggest leaning more into it bc the views alone tell you we love your content. Keep em coming.... hopefully I wouldn't have to wait 2mo for the next ep on YT 😂 Edit: Just went back and rewatched the previous video and I get your very last point. I hope you are enjoying this series and making these vids. We certainly are enjoying them. And I hope everything works out on your end my friend
Oh god I hope this will continue here... I like you a hell of a lot... Easily the best reactor out there but I fear you've seen every single other quality thing I've seen so won't be doing it here... Maybe I can suggest some high quality English shows

Was just coming in here to talk about how awesome of an actress she is. She crushes this episode.
That's...amazing.
Is it the same woman who had to endure drunk Bunk burning his clothes?
@ no, but that actress you’re talking about does have another role in season 4
the inability to leave was perfectly displayed in season 2 when Ziggy asks why the ducks don't fly away and get's the answer "'cause their wings are clipped."
I’m sure this has been mentioned before but the actor playing detective Norris (who was throwing up) is former Baltimore Chief of Police Ed Norris
I never noticed the connection in that last scene with the car and it being what Tasha has talked about!
So glad to see you back on it. Love so many of the storylines this season. Can't wait to see your reaction.

Jay Landsman is a fucking poet.
Indeed.
Always happy for more Wire!

Yayyyy it’s continuing!!!
You are generally very astute with your predictions, so it is extra fun for us when you get one dead wrong.

Good to see you, great reaction!
Great reaction. You're all in now. ✌🏾
Watching without subscribing is just like jooking the stats, and we use clean numbers in this department.
Amen. Bunny would be proud.

The game IS the game.

Well, I don't actually like you, I'm just here for...okay, you're okay.
Lolol thanks.
