La Défense - A Fixed Gear Short Film feat. Deythos

"La Défense is Europe's largest purpose-built business district, covering 560 hectares with 72 glass and steel buildings (of which 20 are completed skyscrapers, out of 24 in the Paris region), and 3,500,000 square metres (38,000,000 sq ft) of office space. Around its Grande Arche and esplanade ("le Parvis"), La Défense contains many of the Paris urban area's tallest high-rises."
Below the high-rise landscape are almost deserted supply routes and parking lots. This underworld offers a bizarre contrast to the gleaming facades of the upper world.
Together with Mathi, also known as Deythos from FxdBln, we spent two days exploring this surreal place on our fixed gear bikes, which is as repulsive as it is fascinating.
This dystopian short film aims to convey our impressions of a two-class society driven by money and growth which manifests itself in behemoths of steel and glass.
