    Hello everyone. I'm back! I've been away from home for work but I've returned, so that means back to working on fun projects and making videos for you guys.
    This is my mini arcade machine powered by a Raspberry Pi. I've always wanted to make something like this and it seemed like a cool project to get me back in to the swing of things.
    Stay tuned for more cool projects.
    Thanks to everyone for subscribing to my channel and I hope you enjoyed the video.

    Finally a video that shows a how to step by step with enough time to see, and cool music. Not some jerk off showing off his mame or x arcade built in his garage using all kinds of fancy equipment and blueprints. Then being secretive about it like it was a piece of cake. You even labeled and explained the breakdown, parts, and order. Well done sir!
    This still looks complicated AF and you have a personal robot lol. ok I take it back...you used a fancy machine that probably cost thousands.

    Looks like you used retroarch for the emulation. Pretty good! I didn't know what the Raspberry Pi was capable of until now!

    Hi great project! I have few questions if you don't mind.
    1) how did you split your PSU to feed the different devices?
    2) Is this main switch safe to switch off the full thing or do you have to switch off the raspberry pi manually first.
    Great job!

    I want to build one of these exactly like this but for 2 players. Do you have plans for a 2 player cabinet? That cnc router would come in handy also. I would pay for the wood pre-cut and shipped :)

    Could you make .stl files available for the housing? Would like to build it, but use a 3D Printer for the housing instead of a CNC as i dont have access to one.

    Hi, very nice build. I had one question! I can't find any 10inch lcd which will run from a 5v psu.. all 10inch lcd on ebay require 12v.. How did you power your lcd? do you have link to similar ebay item?

    • @joshendy
      @joshendy  7 лет назад +1

      My one was an odd one. Just buy a 12V LCD and use a 12V power supply. Then to power the Raspberry Pi use a 12V to 5V stepdown converter like this: goo.gl/uKjTXD

    • @joshendy

      Yep, I could've fit another joystick and buttons on the Raspberry Pi IO. Instead though I use this controller if I want 2 players: goo.gl/XF47Yc

    I have a question about the raspberry pi's micro usb power input. we can't see it plugged in any picture.
    could you, please, tell us how did you do to connect it to the power supply ?

    • @joshendy
      @joshendy  8 лет назад +1

      +Yack Alelo You can supply power to the pi through the 5V and GND connections on the GPIO header. I think doing that bypasses the input power protection circuit though, so it's probably better to power it through the proper power-in micro USB port.

    • @YAYAYANNOU
      @YAYAYANNOU 8 лет назад

      +joshendy thanks a lot for your response. I think I will put a multisocket in the arcade mahine in order to
      power the raspberry with its proper power adaptator.

    • @joshendy

      +Angel A The sketchup file is to size and it shows the measurements for everything. It would be up to you to extract the individual parts and export them for CAM.
