First off, welcome to the small group of us that have made mini gameboy cabinets. I really like your take on this. When I made mine, I retrofit a plastic "MyArcade Burger Time" unit and fit a GBC in it. I had the in cart slot in the back, but I like your bottom loader. Also, really nice labeling and cable management!

i love the creativity, ingenuity and cable management of this build! for a possible V2 of this i would say adding a leading cable that goes to the top to a small LED strip and replacing the front panel with clear acrylic with a transparent design you print out so it llights up when turned on like a real arcade cabinet. i also like the padding you put at this bottom and i was personally thinking of a small suction cup so it will definitely stay wherever you put it

Holy shit. I can't imagine doing all that work only to then have an electrical issue in the end. Kudos to you for that crazy good job on the ribbon cable adapter pcb. You make every step of this look easy when in reality, being able to do all these different things at this level takes both skill and extreme patience.
The end result is a labor of love.

This is a great build, well done! One small change I would have made though is to place the trigger buttons on the left and right sides of the cabinet, much like a pinball machine. If you then added weights to hold it down this would be more comfortable to play.

Wow, absolutely incredible work! Really great shape, and design and the control panel looks fantastic.
Having said that, there are some preferences/nitpicks about the cabinet I would change. It's by no means a criticism of your work.
I think it would've been better to spray the cab with a couple of coats of primer and sanding before painting would've been better. The grain on the wood is still visible. Also, a light up marquee would add a more authentic look, as well as light up "coin doors" for Select and Start. In addition, "t-moulding" on the edges would make it really pop. That could be achieved with some paint. A color to match the artwork.
Again, not criticizing, just nitpicks. Hopefully, you do make those additions you mentioned and make another video. Well, done and thanks for this video. It was a pleasure to watch.

I wonder how long the GB/C/A modding scene can realistically last. There aren't infinite systems out there and there are less and less every day. Some get modded in a different way, some break, are lost, or destroyed, and others still end up in the hands of collectors never to re enter the marked until the day they die (including mine).
