Strawberry Honey Bun Cake 🍓🔥
Ingredients:
For the Cake:
1 box strawberry cake mix
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup vegetable oil
4 large eggs
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
For the Filling:
1 cup brown sugar, packed
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
For the Glaze:
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon strawberry extract
1-2 tablespoons milk (as needed for consistency)
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking pan.
Prepare the Cake Batter:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the strawberry cake mix, sour cream, vegetable oil, eggs, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon. Mix until smooth and well combined.
Prepare the Filling:
In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and ground cinnamon together.
Layer the Cake:
Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it out evenly.
Sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture evenly over the cake batter.
Pour the remaining cake batter over the filling and spread it out evenly. Make swirls
Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly in the pan.
Prepare the Glaze:
In a medium bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, strawberry extract, 2 tablespoons milk
Spread over cake
Slice and serve the Strawberry Honey Bun Cake warm or at room temperature.
