Personally I like to start with Heartbreak Shot > Stormbite > Weaves I have issues with the game realizing I'm in combat, so if I just start with Stormbite my weaves are a little too late for comfort. **Highly** recommend to those who play with high ping, even when you use the forbidden tools, as Alexander won't impact encounter start lag.
The only thing I'm confused about is ending the songs at 3-6-9 means 117 seconds, so won't burst come 3 seconds early? Watching the vid the last song was changed at 7 seconds, so that would be 119 seconds and closer to 120 seconds for a two minute rotation. I assume buff alignment is pretty important to Bard.
This is done to maximize mage's ballad and to ensure that you switch from paeon to minuet on the gcd before you begin your buff window so that your buff window utilizes the whole effect of Army's Muse. You can realistically end all of them at 3 seconds with focused organization, though the only one worth truncating it paeon because of aforementioned army's muse.
@krisshietala2119 don't triple weave. The most you get to double weave is during 2min burst with minuet. The rest just keep it one weave as possible. Bard had some weird gcd rolling where it's animation are kinda slow.
Ppl complaining that brd ndps is bad forgets that with their rdps they can elevate all their selfish dps in the party and more than compensate for that. Parsers's slave gonna hate.
The amount of rdps a ceiling bard player gains, when playing with ceiling selfish dps players only elevates their rdps by about 5k. Bard ceiling adps, which insane gear and luck is about 22k, so realistically the best bards are contributing less than a 50% parse selfish DPS (or picto). This is a bad look for team play and an even worse look for solo play.
I wish bard buffs were buffed. So fsr most damage to party comes from battle voice and radiant finale. I would love buffs to other songs so that it would mske it the best rdps class while being the worst ndps.
I think they should make minuet have an additional personal buff to crit rate which would make CDH more likely when also under army's muse. It would be an intuitive way to boost the overall damage without changing the job design.
So Bard is still not fun 3 expansions later huh? That's a bummer. I hope Stormblood Bard returns one day. Astro received love after 2 rough expansions, here's to hoping Bard gets the same.
Bard is a great time with the DT changes. Can’t please everyone and it would be a shame to rework a job that feels great as is just because some people want to backtrack :P
@@rexcyjones9416 Only in rDPS, which is more having good allies for the aoe buffs to put in work, but BRD is bottom of the barrel for nDPS despite requiring significantly more effort.
@@GambitsEnd yeah and thats a lot of rDPS tho. just goes to show how stacked the party becomes with a bard present. Tho can't say for sure on what buff the other p.range are geting next tier usually DNC still tops off on endgame
It’s quite sad to say but I think it’s the most boring job in this game. I tried it so many times and fell like I am doing nothing!! Damage is nowhere to be found

don't look at ACT because their personal DPS is low. But their rDPS is the highest compared to other physical range, since they use raid buffs.

Bard this raid tier are really good. Same gameplay experience but better in terms of damage output. Also a little busier now.

you can, but I like having that 6s cushion in case I was late at pressing AP. Cuz drifting songs is quite the rDPS loss for bard

It's better than the last 2 expansions. So far it's beating both DNC and Mch in this raid tier.
